Just placed a Toptool order with Dennis, got those extra long wrenches, LXCam, and two other wrench sets. Now just have to hide them from the wife. I been spending way too much on tools recently and she decided to have a "talk" with me. :)

Congrats, you're gonna luv this stuff!

But for the record I buy all this stuff so my wife won't talk to me. :pimpflashp :D

These are not exactly new. The wrenches I've picked up over the last couple of weeks. I purchased several sets of these screwdrivers on clearance in the spring and gifted away all but this set which I finally unboxed today.

I thought the spring push pull tools were a gimmick. Then I used one. It was one of those epiphany moments. I now own two sizes.

Upgraded the my only two non snap on sets in my trays. I feel complete. Added some extra mini pliers as well. Wasn't in love with the fact they're Chinese but they felt better than the HF junk ones and they were only $10 a pair.7308fe5602db7a77fcbf891f11d1bf84.jpg

Scored nbig on some Wright Impact Sockets. Spent damn near an hour digging through the bulk bins at my local thrift shop. Paid somewhere between $3 and $4 a piece ($3.99 retail less discount + taxes...)

Managed to piece together a 3/8 drive fractional set and most of the metric set (missing 10,11,16) but was able to get those today in straight (non flex) sockets. Almost all Wright with the exception of a Proto, and a two of the adapters on the lower right.

Any one in the San Diego/Poway Area swing by Bargain Hunters on Poway Road. He's got a good bit of wright universal/flex impact sockets left. Although, fair warning, I may have pieced together the only full set...

I'll be sad to see Toptul go from the USA...but Dennis is right. They killed them selves. Toptul is simply too hard to deal with.

I’m intrigued... please tell me more

Yes, please tell more!

The two NAPA's closest to me have a second Saturday of the month sale, 20% off regular priced merchandise, 30% before 9:00 am. I can't find anything on their website about it but there is a poster in each store. You may have to ask for the discount. YMMV.

Nice, I have a pretty good relationship with the guys at my local store so I’ll definitely ask them about this. Thanks for the heads up!

Couple of Gearwrench DBE sets courtesy of a member on here. The set on the bottom is indexable. They seem very nice.

Some more stuff I did not need but needed
The pearl blue and teal ratcheting screwdrivers look nice. I just saw one of the pearl blue ones on EBay for $449. I sure hope somebody doesn't snap that up thinking they've come across a unicorn or something.

Finally made it over to my local Toptul Dealer's shop for a small load of Toptul goodness. There's some larger 1/2 drive shallow sockets running from 20-34 mm, sandwiched between them is an expansive set of e torx sockets that run from E4 to E24, a very complete 1/4 drive shallow and deep set that includes 4, 4.5, & 5.5mm up to 14 mm, pinch weld scraper, JIS P2 hex shaft screwdriver, a really nice magnetic screwdriver with locking collar, assorted bits, the unique swivel head bit holder (this is pretty neat, it's about a 6 inch long wrench beam with a swivel 1/4 square drive on one end, and a swivel 1/4 inch bit holder on the other end. No need to buy one on Ebay from eastern europe when you can get one in Phoenix), combination wrench set with the unusual 75 degree offset boxed end in a really well made roll up pouch, some reading material, a key chain, and 3/8 & 1/2 drive deep sockets on the right. I really like the satin finish Toptul has. I think Toptul is missing a decent sized market share by not widely producing 13, 15, & 18 mm sizes in many of their set offerings. That extremely nice zero offset boxed end wrench set comes to mind. Toptul seems to be popular all over the rest of the world though. :dunno:
A big thanks to Dennis for putting my order together so, I could pick it up on my lunch break. I'll be back for more:beer:

Brown santa dropped off some Westling socket organizers for my axle nut sockets and torx etc. Still have to get a few more. Then yesterday some truck BOGO deals got me along with some more organizers lol. He only had one wrench rack, the others will be here Monday.

Rubiman, if you cut that rail, you can have some sets nest next to the others better, make one set go big to small and the other go small to big.

Hello All,

I picked up 3 SK, Socket and Drive Tool Boards to go with the 4, Wrench, Plier, Socket Boards I already had, I must admit, I am pretty happy with them!

Take care!

here is a few more pics, looking at it now, really pleased with how well the bit fits in the handle, no wiggle or movement at all, and just noticed that it is adjustable in length

New work light and a few sockets to fill the gaps in my HF deep impacts. Seems like I've been picking up/doing more sidework at home for friends and family so the light was a must, the sockets are just bonus :bounce:

Light is super bright, I was torn between this and the Astro but both had great reviews so I just wen't for the cheaper one. Seems pretty heavy duty

Next up is what I originally contacted Dennis about, a set of 15 degree 72 tooth ratchet wrenches. I swear, this was all I was gonna buy until he sent me his tool list. I'm telling ya guys, this tool **** is a sickness :dunno:

But back to the wrenches. Typical top quality toptul goodness with very nice and smooth ratcheting mechanism. I can't wait to actually use them.

image.jpg

And as an added bonus this set came with three sizes of socket adapters. Now these are saweeet, I've got a couple other socket attachment dohickies but none that work anywhere near as good as these. I'm super impressed. I think what is most impressive to me is how low I can go with the socket limbo moves.

Notice the adapter and 13mm rat wrench has a 19mm zeal socket and my Carlyle ratchet which is the same thickness as a zeal ratchet is about a 1/2" larger but switching to the ratchet drive gives me another 3/16" of shallowness. I'm sure that'll come in handy at some point in my life.

I know the 1/4" one would have a few months back on a certain project which is why I bought one. But now I seem to have two of the darn things which means one of two things. One, I'll never use that assembly again for the rest of my life or two, I'll never lose one of them. :spit:
