Received some new odds and ends, the square is a second for machine work and layout. Have another just like it used for welding set up. That one is 20 + years old, dropped and banged around.

Paired the two together to check the accuracy ....... damn zero difference, speaks volumes, regarding the quality of Starrett tooling money well spent.

Very nice. My Starrett tools are my favorite tools. The feel, the heft, they just ooze old school quality. And they're beautiful.

Bought these reversible gedore wrenches from amazon.de and had them shipped over for $185. I couldn't find them any cheaper than $400 here in the US.d8b114ca8ec2e550f67711858d2a1cec.jpg

Is that inside tray metal or plastic? It looks really good!

Spent 60$ for this haul. 4 #0 Jorgensen hand screws, big old school clamp, 2 glass suction cups and this 7$ Stanley No. 3.

The suction cups retail for almost 90$ ea. Got them both for 20$. I'm a commercial builder and we use them occasionally, so I couldn't pass up the good deal.

Inside tray is plastic, outside case is metal.

Gedore is the only german brand that makes a german ratcheting wrench far as a I am aware.

Most of the others like Stahlwille are Taiwanese made mechanisms (Kabo).

I use mine all the time, moving heavy metal cabinets, sheet metal, fabrication, fish tanks, they are awesome and that was a really good deal. ;)

I have that same set. Love them. It's amazing how much cheaper German tools are from Amazon.de too.

Funny, their stock was reasonably good as I looked around the store, especially clothing (bought me some tightie-whities), then there were a few holes on the shelves here and there. Told my wife I'll be surprised if they're around this time next year.

21 dollars shipped to my door after 13 dollars in free points from sears. Both ratchets feel great, but I've never owned a comfort handle ratchet, I usually just prefer chrome but there's not much comfort here anyways. Feels rather thin?

The extra large straps EASILY fit around a coiled garden hose bundle... pretty sure it was a 50 foot length of hose. The smallest ones are a bit big for things like USB cables but work great for things slightly larger.

I priced "Wrap It" straps on Amazon... a bit pricey... my wife got them as an "Item of the Day" thing on qvc or whatever you call it. You see in the picture ... two complete sets.

I have had that grinder for a couple years Jim and it has been pretty good to me. The motor gets a little warm after extended use and I doctored the tool rests a bit but I have had no trouble with it.

Thanks for the review. I get a little warm after extended use also so it sounds like we are compatible. :willy_nil

Picked this guy up for 25$ out the door at my local pawn shop. Sure, it's missing a tool rest, and both guards, but the light is still intact.

I buy tools to use them, so the missing components are just a minor inconvenience. This will be a good complement to my Wissota.

My first Tekton branded hand tool. Props to their attention to packaging/info card.
