Scored this 1/2 drive Williams torquer after my cman unit took a dive. Got it for $85 shipped and looks barely used based on very light scratches and lack of dirt in the grip knurling. It goes up to 250ft lbs which is much more than my cman unit! It is missing the cap on the **** in case someone has one ? It has a cool 3 way setting where it allows it to be used as a breaker bar for certain torque settings...Williams stw-3rcfa ...

Another wee delivery today, my set of long zero-offset Beta spanners came in. They look and feel excellent, the profile of the box end is very similar to Facom's OGV and im sure they'll have no problem gripping even rusted fasteners. Chrome looks excellent with zero issues and the laser etching is nice and chunky, as well as on both sides and ends. Good size range too.

Had another order in from Amazon today with a couple of items to tick off the list, these along with a few other bits of kit delivered are definitely my major tool purchase of the year but it'll all be worth it as they all seem good quality. I've been buying a few nicer pieces for the home box recently to give me some options of offering work out to friends etc.. Means i can make a bit from sidework which is where the money for these tools has came from. I dont buy anything unless i've earned the money for it (Large tool box in my work is an exception there).

Couple of bits including a facom ratchet screwdriver, large wera chiseldriver set, irwin german cutters, small wera bit set and large tekton oil pliers.

20zcgol.jpg

Couple of new ratchets for home, a small tekton 1/4 roto-head and one of the new all metal 3/8 wera ratchets. Both are very nice and i can see that small tekton coming in handy very often.

mju87s.jpg

Comparison of the wera to a facom 3/8, its a bit longer but the head is roughly the same. The wera has a nice quick release button, wide but with a low profile. Feels nice in the hand with no sharp edges.

20atq3n.jpg

I got the small wera bit set more out of interest really than need, its relatively tiny compared to any other ratchet i've handled but feels solid, its quick to drive screws by pressing down on the back of the bit and turning the handle, comfortable too. Tektons for a rough size.

The Irwin cutters are very nice and the hinge on them definitely helps add a bit more power to the cut, easily as good as my knipex cutters.

zvd3d.jpg

Bit of a one off here, its a BGS oil funnel made to fit VAG group oil cap openings. This way it holds the funnel securely and give you both hands free to pour the oil in, very nice and i've been wanting one for the house for a while now. My old catering funnel for a comparison.

Top marks to amazon and Primetools for the quick shipping.

is that powdercoated yellow wrenches? didn't even know yellow or red wrenches existed.

Yes they are, on some of mine it's so thick that the sizes are tough to read. I love them. Been awhile since I checked, but when I bought mine it was only SAE availability, which kills the obvious idea of, say Yellow for SAE and red for Metric.

Wiha 50pc precision set, a 1000v rated 26-in-1 screwdriver, and 5 pack of 26-in-1 tradesman screwdrivers.

Dont know if they are worth $60, but at $19.99 those 26ers are awesome. Great tool to leave in various rooms around the house or in the truck. c0211bbb936fd9468f2ca666376fdb62.jpg

Found some old made in USA Craftsman Industrial tools on Sears website and bought one socket (actually, they gave it to me for free with surprise SYW points) to make sure it was what they said it was, and it is, so I ordered some more.

How's the durability on the finish?

Disappointed when I found out they are Taiwan. Still fantastic wrenches. Wish proto made a metric set.

This is often done or purchased this way as a shop set for antitheft reasons...

I.E Whatcha doin with that yeller wrench Bubba?

Sorry but I believe you are wrong, they are sold that way so they don't get lost/forgotten in jobs/scenarios where leaving a tool could be dangerous. I could be wrong here but someone told me locomotive techs have to have high visibilty wrenches when in the field so they don't leave them in engines or on the tracks...

I might need to get me some then...I’d buy them with flowers and cheeta print on them if it prevented dirtbags from taking my stuff
