Those DB hammers have a very nice handle, but the heads are ridiculously large.
My new toolbox arrived at work!!!!! This is the new KMP1163 Master Series Box. Has power drawer, power tool organizer and Lista style divider drawer. I got it in the Combat Green color. The Stainless Power Top should be in soon.

They're collets. They fit into a collet chuck, usually on a lathe. You stick a piece of round stock in them, spin the handle/wheel on the chuck, the chuck draws the collet into its taper, and the collet provides even, strong, often non-marring pressure on the workpiece. Collets are also very accurate, with little radial runout.
Why would you choose between those two, they are totally different hammers? Keep both.
