Ok so just checked and didn't find any info on these online, what's the torque spec? Is it the same as the ctr761 or is it a little weaker with the mechanism being elongated?

I think the official release will be in March...

It has the same torque and speed as the 761, 40 ftlbs, and 275 rpm... It can handle about 160 ftlbs of manual force... The long neck and head are made of hardened steel they say...

Doing the rear drum brakes on my dad's Ranger last month made me painfully aware my drum brake tool collection was lacking. Of questionable origin, manufacture, and dubious function, upgrades/additions were necessary--I have a lot of drum brakes. That Snap On spring tool is almost too nice to use. The Starrett carbide tip scribe is sharper than the needle I got my flu shot from in October. No lie. Phone camera couldn't focus on it to take a pic. Snap On pocket screwdriver just because, 3" #2 Phillips bit so the ratcheting screwdrivers can reach deeply recessed screws, and a metal brake pad gauge for those hard-to-see calipers.
View media item 78447Someone on GJ posted an Amazon flash sale of the Li ion jump packs. I was on the fence, but the price convinced me. The marketing **** says this one starts 10+ liter gas and Diesel engines. Should work for my V8s. Its bigger and heavier than I thought, but will still fit under the seat I intend to keep it under. If I never have to use it I'll be a happy man.

My first order from Amazon.de. Way cheaper, faster, and better packed than .com. Highly recommend for German/euro tool purchases. I simply could not continue waiting/hoping for a USA company to produce locking pliers, so I gave ze Germans a try. They're pretty nice. Not perfect, but nice enough.

I've been waiting for a while to pick up the matching sae set of Blackhawk flex head ratcheting wrenches. This deal finally came along on eBay. Sae set #BW3251L.

Looks great!
I still say that if I had a decent Matco dealer, I'd probably own their boxes instead of Snap-On stuff. I really like Matco's selection of drawer layout options.

Thanks!

Snapon disappearing from my area for 5 years right after I spent a ton of money with them ruined me from doing any real business with them ever again. We've had 4 or 5 snapon reps in my town since then. They come around for a ear or two, go out of business, then someone places them. I'll pass.

Matco has been great. Same matco guy for over 20 years...he retires, and there's a new guy in his spot in 6 months.

I ordered some Wera screwdrivers to replace a set of Craftsman clear handles. A total of 18 drivers for a quite reasonable $68, including shipping. KC Tools was also kind enough to send me all their free catalogs as well. 6f89cc1f9c178e1eaa67a386859d73e3.jpg

Like the John Deere tools, don’t see them posted on here much. We have several of their socket and wrench sets. Good quality and easy warranty coverage if needed.

Finally got a complete precision plier set. Not sure if I'm allowed to post pics of these or if that's only for people who sell them. I'm in the secret club now! Lol 116ff53a6f13287b52830766c4dd04be.jpg213022e05d7a18a84d815e3faa3cfd19.jpg

Me and the mrs did Early x-mas and my birthday presents since we won’t be home much til Thursday, some cheap amazon hammers, seem pretty stout, pick set from gear wrench, some miller metal working gloves, and a kleeko set, along with a body panel stand, hope to put some of this to use this week

That is a great question. I just did a search and found no info. It's frustrating that they don't an online catalogue or anything. I'd guess Taiwan based on quality. They seem decent, a couple of them are rough with burrs on the hinges and jaws. One of the cutters has a pretty bad gap between the blades so those are pretty much useless. For the price it's solid though

I picked those up at my local Napa. It was actually about half the price of anywhere online I found. They actually work really great for radiators and oil coolers. I’ve already used them on several tractors and combines. I’m really happy with them.

I've used a set of those before and I wasn't impressed. They don't put enough pressure out to really blow anything out of crevices, etc.

Felo 1/4" drive bit and socket mini driver (Made in Germany)

My industrial tool supplier is a Bondhus reseller. Since Bondhus and Felo have the same distributor in the U.S., my dealer was able to order it for me.

SK Holiday Sale

I purchased 7 SK metric X-Frame ratcheting wrenches (Made in U.S.A.) with the 40% discount for about $20.92 a piece. That's a much better price per piece than on SK's website, Amazon, or eBay (typically mid to high $30's). Upon arrival, I noticed that a few ratcheted slightly stiff and the rest ratcheted just right. In addition, 2 of the ratchets didn't ratchet smoothly between 2 consecutive teeth. I soaked all 7 ratcheting heads in Mobil 1 0W-30 synthetic oil in a large measuring cup for 2 days. Now, all 7 box heads ratchet like butter.

HF Braun 390 lumens slim bar folding rechargeable LED light (Made in China)

I paid $19.99 with a coupon that I found in another "General Tool Discussion" thread about all the new Braun lights with "kctyphoon" as the OP. This is a bright, solidly built, and well designed unit. It uses replaceable 18650 Li-Ion, 2200mah batteries which you can purchase at specialty battery supply houses. In N.E. OH, I purchased an extra Samsung 18650 Li-Ion, 2500mah battery from Bulldog Battery in Willoughby, OH.
