I just picked up a couple of Tekton composite ratchets (1/4 and 3/8) Both were on sale at a price I couldn't refuse.

At SEMA this year I had a chance to play around with a couple of their rats. I was stunned at back drag being almost completely absent. How do those feel EP?

Edwards 40 ton Ironworker with custom dies for stamping parts :rocker:

That's saaaweeet! I've wanted an iron worker for ever but I just can't justify both the space nor the cost considering what I'd use it for. What kind of parts are you stamping with it?

Got my Sonic sample tools today. Pliers are NWS and look to be decent, I like the hex on the extension and like that the male and female ends line up on it, the sockets look like they likely come from the same place my OEM sockets did and the ratchet seems ok but it was a little frozen and took a little bit of effort to get it to move. I thought maybe there wasn't any grease in it but took it apart and there was some in there. Back drag is also high compared to my SO ratchets. Overall they seem to be decent tools.

Also got a couple free pcb rulers from digi-key.

I owner a display fixture business for 30 years that my son just took over. Years ago I designed a clip for hanging shelves and was having them stamped by a company but the got so flakey and keep quoting my son longer and longer lead times (16 weeks) I decided I needed something to do in retirement so I got this setup to stamp the parts for my son.....plus a few other uses :p

What kind of wrenches are those, and for what application?
Speeder wrenches for when you want a ratcheting open ended wrench. They only grab in one direction and slip in the other. Used to wear out a 10mm snap on version on brake line fittings.

Very old diesel compression tester. Supposedly it's military surplus.

Parents got me a DCF899HB, some step bits and then some good old American made cast iron.

To complement the impact, I picked myself up a Sunex 5153DD impact socket set.

So excited! A new Snap On guy came by. Hooked me up with a custom ratchet! SO doesnt make a short handle, soft grip 3/8 QR flex head. But I now have one!! Love the new USA stamp below the QR button. My non flex doesn’t have that!
