**** Van... That's great.
As much as I hate to admit it, I feel that way too. But I have that same screwdriver set with the 2 stubby drivers, and the dead blow ball peens. (as well as many thousands in other SO tools). There really is no substitute for SO.
Haters are gonna hate but I'm OK with spending money on tools that last a lifetime and keep me from f'in stuff up, including myself.

I drive a Ford E-350 extended van that they call the "Struggle Bus". I tell people I don't drive a **** van, Snap On does. But with my credit line, great customer service, and even better salesman that's on my truck, plus the best tools ever. They get me every time.

I honestly have a hard time spending half the price of snap on for other brands of tools at this point. I figure, if I can afford the best I'll buy the best. Doesn't mean I don't have many other brands in my boxes but if I have the choice at the moment my "instant gratification personality" kicks in, it's going to be snap on.
I do own a fair amount of Matco tools, but I think snap on is a definite step up from Matco.

I finally increased my tool storage so I celebrated and expanded my metric wrench collection. Stahwille open box 14 set, toptul short offset wrenches, and toptul xl's from Dennis. I have an upcoming project and am looking forward to giving these some use!6fdc9c96517d6f4c2e0b055c4d9cac92.jpg

Latest fleabay arrival came in yesterday. Easco 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 and 32 mm wrenches. They aren't any beauty queens, but they should do the job when needed.

I agree 100%

They are great hammers... And nbruno That last statement is so true.

I was repairing a customer installed plow frame :scared: omg
Needs a complete reinstallation later in the week.... just easier to star over.

While I’m working at breaking loose the four 5/8” bolts tq to 150lbs by hand. He said nice ratchet (SF80) I told him I learned the hard way with cheap ratchets. So now instead of busting myself up and breaking the ratchet. I just buy better tools and let them take the beating. as I use my feet on the tire to gain more leverage.

My SL80 is my go to when it comes to breaking nuts/bolts. The thing never misses a beat, even with my fat *** hanging off the end of it.

So we just got a new tool truck stopping by, a Cornwell dealer. And I just had to have this. Think I have a problem.

I also have the long handle 18" locking flex head, very happy with it. I'm just not as comfortable/confident hanging off the end of a flex head. For some reason I'm always afraid they're going to break at the joint.

I guess you could say I like to have a good stock of screw extractors. These are 1990s vintage. Back when they had us-made high speed drill bits. At some point they began including imported drill bits. People borrow mine at work and break them. I'm guilty of breaking a few also. But I have never used a USA made one before. Broken bolts is one of the most common repairs in my job. The drill bits are not that important in this purchase, I have access to all the Cobalt and high-speed I need. Although I'll take 'em

It appears you purchased these all at one time, correct? Was it an Ebay purchase? If so, from what seller? I'd like to pick up a few if you left any behind.

They used to make them with left hand drill bits. That way just drilling would make it come loose half the time.

Rockbottompricinginc is the seller. He had 5 #5's and 3 #6's. I cleaned him out. But there are others on eBay. Type in "Hanson extractor" and you should also try "Hanson extractor USA" but that search will exclude some from sellers who don't care where it's made nor do they specify.

Some of them will put USA in the title, which I feel is the right thing to do if you want to sell something.

You might check that seller because he might have found some more and listed additional. I only got the Hanson drill bit combo packs from him anything else you see came from separate sellers. Hope this helps. If you got any more questions just shoot.

I've been fooled by some sets that have drill bits because I automatically assumed they were left-handed bits but over half of them are right-handed bits just to drill your hole with. I do have a few sets of left handed bits and they do work as long as the bolt is not stuck too bad.

But my screw extractors rarely fail me. If they do fail it's usually my fault because it's a tiny bolt and I drilled off center and got into the threads. Recipe for breaking a screw extractor. I've had some break plainly because the bolt decided it is not going to budge.

Yeah a broke one on a really stuck bolt. I just prefer not applying any force in the wrong direction when I have a stuck bolt.
