Didn't really need the 1/4" one, but for 37 dollars...then you get the tray I figured why not

Also was in getting coolant to do my radiator swap and noticed powertorque ratchets made in Taiwan at orileys. Any good?

I have the 1/4 XL ratchet, and reach for it more than I thought I would. Gearwrench seems to be stepping their game up with new ratchet designs/options.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered a socket specifically for this task, as its an unusual size and configuration (12 point 14mm). Since there's no retention device on this tool, and this is probably going to be its only purpose, I'd call the socket getting jammed on there a feature! :bounce:

FWIW: I usually rotate between the shake/n/break, and the regular impact. The whole "rotate the 19mm wrench while you impact" works nice for slow butterfly kisses, but when you're hammering the hell out of a bolt seized in a bushing, you need both hands just to keep the air hammer putting the power where you need it.

Air hammer, impact, air hammer, impact, air hammer, impact..... I'm real popular at work. :lol_hitti

Needed this size for work, got it for $6.50 new.
Proto Professional U.S.A. 5340H 1-1/4" socket, 1/2 drive, deep 6pt chrome.
Very nicely made socket. Broaching is about mid depth.

See for me I think that defeats the purpose. I've never had much issue keeping a wrench on it, but I use the box end so it cant slip off. And that's with my PH3050B(it hits pretty hard)

Lol!

Thanks again. But I have no intention of rotation. This will be used axially only on bolt heads to help remove hub bearing assemblies from Dana 44 knuckles.

The last time I had to do this, I spent 3 hours hitting things with a hammer and chisel and my teeth hurt for a couple days after. I figure this will get the assembly moving enough to get between the face of the assembly and the knuckle with the air hammer to get it out.

We shall see.

50 bucks cheaper than new price off of eBay. It looks like it's been used about once.

It allows on car service of the trailing arm bushings on Hondas. That will save a lot of time over previous methods used.

Both feel great, love all the 84T stuff. My GearWrench 81012F is also my most reached for ratchet in my home box

My dentist's office is too close to a harbor freight :( Got the Braun work light for $22! Initial impressions are pretty good. We'll see how it holds up. Only a 90 day warranty.

The coupon for free 24 AA batteries is pretty awesome. Never used their batteries before; can't complain if they **** through, right?

the HF AAA and AA batteries generally ****... but they are alright for low power devices... like TV remotes (basic remotes... definitely don't use them in something fancy like a logitech remote with an LCD screen on it)

Wera two days in a row. I'm completely spoiled. Thanks to Amazon Warehouse discussion I ordered a Wera Zyklops 3/8 ratchet set SB 8100 essentially at half price.

Interesting idea--the directional change is accomplished by pushing the square through the ratchet. At first I thought this would be a hassle, but on using it a few times I realized that as a locking ratchet the button has to be held every time you put on a socket anyway. All you have to do is think "tighten or loosen" then check the arrow on the wrench. The wrench feels great--heavy with a smooth mechanism--so I'm sure I'll be using it a lot soon.

Today was Wera screwdriver set 334 SK/6. Very nice feel. These are my first Wera tools. I'll be trying to wera them out! (couldn't resist).

On sale at Lowes for 59.99, I used a set of my buddies to help him take apart a playset and I had to have some.

As promised, here is the drain pan in action. Not even close to spilling over the sides. The oil did get close to pouring over when I slid it over to take off the oil filter, but that was on me; should've had it in position. Also, I'm already loving the HF Braun light!

Even though this is rated for 10 quarts, it's only about half full; I appreciate that Harley Davidson rated it for it's usable volume, and not the entire internal volume. It also stands upright on it's own, so takes up very little space. For $26, this is awesome value.

My buddy has that jack, it does the job. Always lower the jack down onto the safety. He had his bike on that jack overnight and it lowered during that time back onto the ground. Front forks where off the bike. Scary deal when he walked into the garage in the morning. I need a jack or a lift but I won't buy that one.
I have so much time and money invested into my bike that it would be financially devastating if something happened to it. J &S, Pitbull, or a quality lift for me.

Just be careful with that jack.Hate to see or hear a bike on its side because of that jack

I deff lowered it on the stops. I’m not trusting just the jack, I do need to get some straps for it, but like a kid I just had to try it. Went out of town for the evening I’ll be home in an hour to see if I have an expensive lesson learned about leaving it there.

An entire delivery of stuff I don't need, but the prices were too good to pass up. $20 for the Irwin/NWS fish-head pliers, $16 for the Gedore VDE pliers, $9 for the Gedore cable insulation cutter and $8 for the Wera torsion screwdriver bits.

I think the most surprising of these is the Gedore VDE pliers. The grips feel really comfortable and more substantial than expected, and the finish is a matte chrome that looks really high-quality. Can't wait to try them out.

All of these were from Amazon. Someone posted the $20 deal in the Amazon Warehouse Deals thread, there were around 8 in stock at that price. I was going to post the Gedore tools in that thread as well, but both the prices shot up as soon as I checked out.

That's a nice pair of pliers for $16! Gedore's pliers don't seem to get much attention, but their engineers and Austrian pliers forge make really great pliers. I think they're generally as good function-wise as VBW/Knipex/NWS, and they're usually finished nicer than the German-made pliers.

The NWS Ergomultis are also excellent, no matter what handle color. $20 is a really good deal on them.

bought me a new air blow gun from matco, its a C1450, cant find it on google or on their website, ill post a pic tommorow, but man its a beast. Flows more air than i have ever seen from a air gun.

Just odd i cant find a pic or anything of it anywhere, or find it listed for sale anywhere. My driver picked up a few of them at a dealer show and had them priced cheap, another guy in the shop bought one and after i tried it, picked me one up as well

best and only pic/info i could find, got it alot cheaper than this as well

two things that were on the "i kinda want this in my collection for no practical reason" list

1. a snap-on ratchet with the USA stamped on the ratchet head
2. hard handle

spotted one cheap on letgo, the extension was included

30mlker.jpg

also stopped into harbor frieght because i was almost out of gloves (as in literally one pair left in my last box) and after looking around for a bit decided to use my one day only 25% off on these

2j0mjau.jpg

they look and feel better than the irwin **** and $6.99 before the coupon is a deal
