Was a good day for my toolbox today!

USA made Ullman O-Ring Pics. 8 Pc set on Amazon for about $16.

DSC01000 by P A, on Flickr

And some Snap On long reach pliers all for about $130. 9" Talon Grip Slip Joint Pliers, 11" Heavy Duty Diagonal Cutters, and 11" Needle Nose Pliers. I will slowly phase out my Knipex Pliers with Snap On. (I have a lot 6 Knipex pliers for sale in the classifieds)

These are the best long reach needle nose and cutters on the market IMO. The metal between the handles and the jaws(the extended part) is just so much more beefy than other brands. Most other brands are too flimsy and bend when you squeeze on them

I was skeptical at first, but as soon as I had them in my hands... worth every damn penny. There's something about the density of the steel that just makes them feel indestructible. Couple that with the beam style handles and massive joints, you feel like you pluck the moon from the sky.

I saw those on the truck the other day. Pictures don't do them justice. They are substantial. Super nice feel and finish as well.

I wonder if Snap on makes their pliers themselves of if another company makes them. The designs look quite unique compared to anything else, really nice.

They make these themselves. Pliers like the ratchating cable hose clamp pliers are made by Mayhew

I might need to look into replacing my tekton slip-joints with the snap-ons above, they're my most used type of pliers.

I splurged and got this little rolling Facom cart with tools and foam for each drawer. Now I can roll my cart to the exact spot I need them in the garage and have the basic tools for most jobs. Quite happy with this one.

I’d love to but now it’s all packed up in my household goods and on its way to the US!

I’ll be happy to break this out in more detail when i get moved. I really appreciate how this helps me control FOD.

Since I’m now in the business of providing you with weak sauce, here is another picture showing a glimpse of the little chest’s buddy - the rolling work bench with retractable feet. Weighs about 200 lbs and becomes quite stable.

Great find, looks great after cleaning. If you have not tried out Knipex you will like the brand, they make nice products.

Some nice stuff off the Snap On truck. Metric 1/2" Set and 3/8" / 1/4" Metric Set. Got both for 60% off list price.

Could I bother you for those part numbers from the packaging? I can't make them out or find those in the CAT1400.

Thanks.

I needed new picks (disappeared at work) and had a bunch of points. Total cost was like $6 out of pocket, so for USA made screwdrivers (even if the tips are probably going to be mush) and picks I can't complain!

I wish I had a local Proto/SK dealer. Nothing other than Grainger and the Snap-On truck at work for USA made stuff near me.

What the what. I ordered this literally six hours ago at lunch time from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $12, and it was waiting for me in the mailbox when I got home.IMG_20180608_185011681.jpeg

Edit: False alarm! Maybe I need to cut back on the new tools. These are slightly different than the ones I ordered today... which means they're the ones I forgot I ordered 3 days ago.

After the mega suckage on the knee mill and such a couple pages back, I hesitate to even post this but I'm kinda proud of it anyway.

1996 Enco 105-1110 with a decent amount of tooling followed me home today for $500. Needs a little love but overall it's pretty nice. Bought it from the guy that bought it new. Been in his garage mostly drilling wood since new. Got the original vice, manual, machining text books etc... also.

Thanks. Drop in the bucket in comparison to the amount I have built up over the last year and a half or so stocking up my service truck. Yes definitely went for the promo, that is the only reason I ordered directly through SK, typically utilize ToolTopia, Amazon, or HJE even though I am a premium member of the SK club.

I've been on the fence about the X-Frames for a long time now and the promo pushed me over the edge. Have a cheap GearWrench set that has been a thorn in my side for a while now. Would like a set of offset reversible or even flex head wrenches, but the fine tooth mechanism and sturdy design pushed me to give these ones a try first. And now that I have them they feel absolutely amazing but time will tell if they hold up to what I put them through.

Now just waiting for the rest of their pear head ratchets to come out. If that doesn't happen relatively soon then there are going to be some dual 80's on the truck instead.

How you like them Trusty cook ball pein hammers?

The bright green colors are excellent, don't have to worry about dropping them in the mud and trying to find them. I beat the **** out of one just yesterday on a plow that sheared trying to get it back in line. Even hit the handle a couple times at full force. Fully expected to see some abrasion to it, but no, sure seemed like some kind of outer space alien sourced compound they use in those things because it surprised the heck out of me.

The textured grip on the handle is great for greasy hands, doesn't clean up well with just a dry rag, but I don't care at all about that. Others might though so worth mentioning. After many repeated full force hits on rough edges of hardened steel there is no indications of marring or gouging of the hammer face yet. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and based on initial uses so far I can fully see many years of hard use out of them.

Congrats terry, as you know most here will tell you that's a POS and you should have just bought a CNC Haas. But I've got the triple delux version of that and it'll make damn near anything you need to do, all it takes is a little patience and ingenuity which you have an ample supply of.

I guess my story isn't much different. I've had the collection from hell of GW stuff which has always done the job just fine. A couple years ago I got a chance to play with the Xframe and really liked it, but between the price point and the limitations since it's not a flex head pushed me away. Last year I bought a complete set of toptul metric rat wrenches and just luv those things. If it wasn't for already owning those, I'd have bought both sets last night.

Anyhow major congrats on the major haul!

Sweet!
What's with the corrugated tray on top? Keeps stuff from rolling off?
Details, please.
