Picked up a 36" metal yardstick/straight edge for work and a couple of utility knives at Menard's today.

While I was there I checked the clearance section and found these drill bits. All of them are 10 packs and "titanium" drill bits in sizes 1/16, 3/32, 7/64 and 1/8". I figured for less than a $1 a pack, they were worth it for disposable bits.

The HF 4.5" grinder was $9.99 with a coupon and it has one goal in life. It's going to be equipped with a masonry diamond blade to cut block. It's going to give it's life to keep me from using my good Cman Professional or one of my Dewalt grinders for the task. I also picked up another free HF magnetic tool tray to add to the collection. I think I'm up to 7 or 8.

Pferd files, knipex mini cable cutters, snap on crimpers, some Mac 1/4 ratchets I’m gonna keep around for backups, blue point adjustable wrenches and the pièce de résistance, ratchet master quick release pliers set. Already used them today on a quick connect t fitting that was made for small child like arms and hands to reach. Worked like a charm and highly recommend for any hd diesel tech

Who makes those quick disconnect tools? We used to sell the ones from Gates(rebranded from someone) but we sell Dayco primarily now.
Also, those Knipex cutters are awesome, I use them at the store all the time to cut hose

For what?

Sorry, I just saw this.

I use mine for removal of E-clips as the thin ends reach into tight spots better than normal slip joint pliers and have more gripping surface than needle nose.

I generally grab them for anything where I want a little more gripping surface than needle nose and don't want to mar the surface that regular pliers can sometimes do.

They just seem to be one the more reached for pliers in my plier drawer.

Bought this 12” ridgid chip saw for an upcoming trim project. It includes the laser cut mark indicator and is big enough it will cut through a 2x8. I had a $15 off coupon so it was $284! It has worked well so far and I highly recommend it.

Got a few things in the last few days. Lisle spark plug wire pullers, Autel MP408 4 channel Oscilloscope, some 3/8 Powerbuilt extensions, Tekton metric wrenches and screwdrivers, and Gear wrench 84 piece master hex and torx bit socket set.7f03a67c51f026b7eeb9c7f3f2fce0e2.jpg7dd5314b49aefb17977907db7ca18646.jpg9dd37351c7521833f8e4acef2983d0d7.jpg4ace4e514a0c20240237ab6f7fb9849a.jpgb36e8c18433705f57bac59ded0a1ac52.jpg9d1acb0a654188e25009debc9af03993.jpg

Got a Wilton receiver mount bracket to mount a vise on a trailer hitch post under my work bench, so it'll be flush with the bench and yet removable. I like the wide mounting flanges, and just ordered 2 more.

PS: I've always wanted to own an old Wilton. Hehe...

Here's today's loot.

attachment.php

A Lang spark plug gap tool (I believe someone else recently posted them here in this thread not long ago and thought I'd give them a shot), Tekton sets of metric and SAE stubby wrenches, and a 7-slot, a 10-slot, and two 11-slot Ernst 'Gripper' stubby wrench racks I needed for sets of GearWrench flex and Craftsman lobster-claw stubby wrench sets that I already had for a while now but had yet to get them organized on rails. I had to take a razor knife and some snips and do some modifications to the 7 & 10 slot racks to get the GearWrench flex stubbys to fit. All worked out pretty well.

attachment.php

All in all I like the Tekton stubbies. Putting them up next to the Chinese Craftsmans really shows just how ridiculous the lobster-claws look. They're open end is as big or bigger than the GW ratcheting flex end. They're getting relegated to a box out in the shop I don't use all that often and the Tektons and the GW flex are going in a box in the garage where they definitely will get put to use.

I like them.... the adapters, now i can use my 3/8 flex instead of the large 1/2. The little 1/4 makes a small 3/8....60d16e1dbe2715191bef03291ac3d6a5.jpge92d3b38a55ad7ef068fbdc9a75ec9fd.jpg

My big purchase from Advanced Auto and Amazon. Lots of Gearwrench and Tekton, plus some Yost clamps. I am still getting used to the trilobed handles on the Tekton screwdrivers but I think I like them. I am interested to see how the China Gearwrench hold up compared to my 10+ year old Taiwan ratcheting wrenches that have seen moderate use. The AA sale price was so good that I couldn't pass them up. I also ordered the metric and SAE flex sockets and long Torx. I also bought a cheap Stanley 1/4" ratchet from Amazon Warehouse but the quick release was jammed. I am still trying to get the detent ball loose. For $4 its not worth returning or spending too much time messing with it.

Picked this one ... cause it has the trigger grip. The other one had a hook but I wanted a sure grip on the wire to noodle the desired bend.

Used it today to straighten out that decora wall switch. It was a few degrees off flat. I rearranged the wires behind the switch so it was even. The box is to code with the number of wires... the issue was one wire nut needed to be pushed back and I didn't want to keep trying with my finger.

Using the tool to bend the wires a bit ... let me make room for the offending nut.

Probably won't use it again for a long time. Purchased for this specific annoying box.

I could give more information on that support for pliers.

Problem solved, when enlarging image I could see the serial number. I get twice as expensive with the cost of shipping, I'll have to buy something else and that's it.

I needed a T40 for my new PSE compound bow draw weight adjustment. Came close to just ordering a single L-key. But Zoro had 20% off no minimum purchase so I got these for 30 bucks. I threw in a 6" and an 8" inch Proto adjustable wrenches to meet the $50 free shipping.91d7f5956ef6162999ce42216910e9ad.jpg8edaf4e1c7100cc4e625cb35d3787d17.jpg64ba00abcb0c8980c4fb343da2427cdc.jpg

Echo CS-490. Picked it up Friday night and used it Saturday morning. Very nice saw, good power. I did a quick initial tune but I still need to fine tune it later.

Recieved the 4 piece Gearwrench 120XP ratchet set today along with a Lang disc brake spreader. Last brake job I did, I couldn't find my c clamp that I usually use and had to resort to large channelllocks.c4a53613a6ee02a1b269610510056f27.jpg

Those GW flex ratchets are great, I have that set minus the long 3/8 and have used them a lot. The little 3/8 stubby after a spring clip to reduce backdrag is by far my favourite stubby ratchet. The big 1/2" can happily handle a lot of torque. I don't like all GW tools, but they really did a good job on their ratchets. Great value!
