Finally got the punches and chisels cleaned up and slapped some paint on them quick so I can keep track of where they came from. Let em cure a bit and I’ll toss them in my toolbox to use. During cleaning, some still smelled of the garage fire he had some years back. Time will tell if they lost temper! All are Enderes and Proto except for the huge chisel.

Can't tell you much about it, but we have a very similar set. However the die holder in our set doesn't have that top clamp arrangement and all of our dies are the bigger size O.D to match the die holder. Ours box is soaked in oil as the tools have seen a lot of use repairing/making parts for windmills on our farm. Could be getting close to 100 years old now?

Morning. I bought this Hein Werner O'BOY at an auction yesterday for $15.00. Despite it's slightly bent handle, it picked up the back end of the El Camino with no issues.

The serial number is OS 64202.

Any idea on what year this might have been manufactured?

At some point I plan to rebuild it, just too many irons in the fire at the moment to tackle it now.

I don't know of anyway to date the older HW jacks, my gut tells me 40's into possible 50's. It's definitely a early one based off the tag style.

Congrats..

I've been wanting a better open end wrench set than my USA Craftsman wrenches, something with the anti-slip ridges. I couldn't pass this up.

Fyi those are not anti slip, they have two tiers iirc, basic wrenches like those which I believe are Chinese coo and the ones with ASD which are Taiwan and have Blue and red bands on the shaft

You can see in the pics they don't have ASD and also the price for 32 of the nice Taiwan wrenches wouldn't add up.

I'm sure they will still do the job and I wouldnt feel bad for only 17 bucks

Well, I don't have any stubby wrenches. Perhaps I'll keep those and give the standard length ones to my neighbor, he needs a set.

I was just giving you a hard time, they're still usable tools! I keep a small husky tool set (don't tell anyone these hands turn Husky tools) in my hallway closet for small quick jobs around the house.

No worries. I actually have 6 and 12 point, SAE and Metric, sets already. They're all Craftsman from 20 years ago. I just wanted something with an ASD. Oh well, it's the risk you run when buying something without seeing it, and when rushed on ebay.

Got some new tools today.

23mm flank drive plus combination wrench. Now I have 7-24mm no skips. :)

Got the two handle racks today. My dealer knows what he's doing...sells me T handle kit with 8 t handles each...sells me a rack that will hold 9 t handles. The sad thing is...it works on me. :lol_hitti

Looks pretty good! The t handles won't fit in the screwdriver rack if you're wondering. The t handle rack is deeper and has larger diameter holes.

My dealer also gave this to me. Pretty neat! Good excuse to have steak for dinner. :bounce:

With all the money you’ve been spending with him, he should take you out for steak dinners for the rest of the year lol

I like the idea of placing it over what appears to be a piece of metal, what size and how thick is it?

I sandwiched the top and the underside of the cabinet with 2 12"x12" 16g steel from Home depot just for a little more rigidity. I am never going to take a big *** sledge to this but it is a bamboo top so I was looking to make sure its somewhat protected.

I finally got my new Workzone inverter generator unboxed, oil and gas put in and fired up (first pull). I plugged in several different things I had in my outbuilding and the generator ran great and was reasonably quiet. I am even able to charge my iPhone and iPad because it is an inverter generator.

I know it's not a Honda however it runs great and functions like it should. It comes with a 3 year warranty and costs only $169.99!

Yes. There wasn’t one in my area so after communicating with Aldi they found one a hundred miles or so away and it was the last one at only $169.99. My niece lives in the area so she was able to pick it up for me.

Glad you were able to get one ezriderga, I got mine out of the box and running today, works great. It starts on the first pull and runs quiet.

It is the same as the Pulsar 2000is which gets good reviews on Amazon.

I saw a Craftsman today at Lowes. Other than having Craftsman on it and being a different color, it looked identical to the Workzone with all the same features. The price on it is $649 with the same 3 year warranty.

I checked out our set and its quite a bit different actually. This set is made in the U.S by G.T & D Corporation, which surprised me, I assumed it would be from the U.K, being Whitworth.
The tap and die holders are very good quality, the die holder having this adjustable guide on the back.

I’ll have to have a look at mine and compare :)

My new Bondhus hex balldrivers.

I decided to repurpose my old Craftsman Rally box just for all my oddball screwdrivers, nutdrivers, torx, etc. I have always wanted a full set of hex drivers. I have always been drawn to the colorful acetate-handled drivers (xcelite, vaco, etc). When I spotted these NOS Bondhus drivers, I had to have 'em!

8 Red metric, 13 yellow SAE (the pic on the bench I left out one of the smaller yellow ones)

Would a plasma cutter be right to post in this thread?

I purchased a few things at lowes about a month ago but misplaced the pics. Let me look and edit this post.

Could not find them all so I just copied a few pics from another forum. I got all these items for 50% off of the already discounted clearance prices. I also got a set of standard Stuby Combo Stanley wrenches for about $3.50 or so. The LED light will go into the Media Blasting Cabinet.
