Tool truck had a deal going for a bash hammer, and vise.
Blew out a hammer that morning, so got a longer hammer, with more weight, and a vise for the house. But just pics of the vise, since I'm at home.

This is incorrect. Garage Journal does not get a commission from users sharing deals on that thread, and the links users post on that thread are not affiliate links that benefit (financially) garage journal.

If the forum were to read the amazon urls posted here and redirect it with an affiliate link, that would violate the Affiliate Program Policy, and disqualify purchase. (I'm an amazon affiliate myself and I'm very familiar with the affiliate program policies)
Then how does viglink work? I notice the only links that do not route though viglink are the Amazon links with smile in them which would be the posters affiliate link. But I a user posted a normal Amazon link then it routes through viglink which even the mods before claimed they benefit garage journal.

After re-reading my original comment, and reading more on Viglink, I'm wrong so I edited that prior comment. Both are "affiliate" programs and I got my wires crossed. I was still thinking only about Amazon's Affiliate Programs, not 3rd party programs. I don't want to hijack this thread (or sound like I'm talking on behalf of GG), so let's take this to PM if you guys want to continue this discussion. :)

The "smile" in the amazon doesn't have anything to do with affiliate links. AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice. If you want to look for an Amazon Affiliate link, look for "tag=" in the expanded URL. (This will get confusing - I'm referring specifically to Amazon's own affiliate program, not 3rd party affiliate programs)

I left the sockets in my cart for a few days and I got an alert that they were reduced to $41. Then I got a $10 of 50 and 10% family and friends discount. Came out to $27. Then I had the other stuff in my cart and got an alert for price lowered, all like 50-70% off.

All Tekton tools are 50% off at Meijer for Black Friday. I've found that mixed in with the China junk, there are some really nice tools, including their 90-tooth ratchets (made in Taiwan and pretty nice quality, but not sold at Meijer) and their USA-made pliers. The USA made stuff is really nice. I got the 3 pieces below for $26.

Edit: just did a little research, and the Tektons appear to be Wilde rebrands:

Jumped on the HD Ryobi 18 gauge brad nailer for $99 (used a $5 off $50 coupon to lower the price a bit) and bought the brushless hammer drill & brushless jigsaw for $149 (also used the $5 off $50 on that too). Then returned the hammer drill and ended up paying $64 for the brushless jigsaw.

After placing orders from HJE for about 3 years I finally made it into the store to check it out for myself! My dad and I took off work and flew out of North Carolina Sunday night. We spent almost 5 hours there Monday, also checked out a Menard's, and then flew back Tuesday. It was an awesome trip and we bought some tools, which arrived today. I'm thinking this will be an annual trip for us because we both cant wait to go back. My dad's stuff on the left, mine on the right.db4a15a20c03ace4ccaf49350ae815bc.jpg406ca72200adf5d7650070de8b50dbe3.jpg5390d62691a1b969c47191d923202ba0.jpg

Got me a set of USA made Williams extractors via Amazon. I paid $63, normally $130ish. :)

The case has extra slots of the corresponding drill bit, but it's not included in the set. Not sure where I can find a 1-1/16" left hand drill bit. McMaster seems to only go up to 1/2" :headscrat:

What's the set number? Almost every extractor set Snap-on sells is made by Hanson.

A trip to Epstein's can be an expensive proposition - lots of chances to impulse buy. Did you get to see the basement and upper floor?

A soft face hammer made by osca in Italy. Steel head with polyurethane striking caps. 19$ from Amazon warehouse deals. The cap are supposed to be interchangeable but sure are on tight. Normally this type of hammer I see screw on caps not pressed on. Handle is hickory and dated coded 2014.IMG_20181124_121422.jpeg

Got a proto 5449p really smooth very low back drag. I bought it used off eBay it is nice condition but seems worn it just right. Kinda disappointed it doesn't have the same knurling as the 5250p. Also it has Phillips screws and not hex like the 5250p. Now I need to find a 5249p and a 5450p and 4750p and 4749p. IMG_20181124_135635.jpegIMG_20181124_135535.jpegIMG_20181124_135526.jpeg

I still can’t see the photos but is it the straight flute 10pc kit? Ive never had to use left hand drill bits with straight flutes. I just make sure I use the correct size to drill out the screw/bolt.

With my spiral flutes I use left hand bits but they all came with the extractors.

Haha that is for sure! Yea we started out on the main level and then went up, went thru the basement last and then back of the main floor a bit, finding some more things before checking out.

Sorry to make you my guinea pig, but can you let me know if the images are appearing now? I recently had to switch from Flikr to Google photos, and google photos isn't very user friendly with embedding images. :(

The set PN is EXS-10; the 10 pc straight flute set. Thanks for the input; was just hoping maybe I'd get lucky using the left handed drill bits on some of the smaller sizes and not need the extractors. :)

I’ve got what looks to be the same exact set in Proto. It has regular drill bits

Usually left handed drills come with the flutes. Thats a weird set. I prefer the spline extractors over these, but I usually run into situations where people round torx or Allen more than a broken bolt.
