Finally got my wrenches from amazon.co.uk:
DHL did their best to sabotage the purchase however. They "held" the first shipment and no one could tell me why or when it would get released. Even now, 20 days later, it is still on hold at Reagan National. Amazon sent a second shipment, then DHL could not find the address. Had to call them and give detailed directions, even though the address is on Google Maps.

Autorex pliers handle says 1000v but they don't seem insulated. Anyways there is two cutting points and two crimping points so should be good for cable work. Made in Germany BTW.
I think that means the pliers will transmit 1,000v straight into your body!

The ones on the right are. The ones on the left are a set from amazon. But i recommend the harbor freight ones since it’s easier to bend/modify the hook shape to best hold whichever tool... plus they’re cheaper

Had a gift card from last christmas burning a hole in my pocket and KMS had a good sale on the battery so I picked it up. While in the store I noticed the driver set my dad had been talking about a few weeks ago was also on sale so I nabbed those for his

Nice. I've been wanting one of those wand type lights. The tool truck guys sell basically the same thing with a different name on it for 3x the price

How do you like it compared to the HF version? I have the Braun and it seems like the battery dies in ~15 mins.
I don't have the new Astro, but I have the Braun and a $11 knockoff 40SL from ebay.

Similar looking ones can be had for as low as $9, build quality is not the best but it has fallen 3+ feet multiple times onto concrete and its still running. Its definitely not 400 lumens either, but you didn't ask about that.
For the Braun I recommend getting some high quality Samsung 18650 cells and a standalone charger. The charging circuit in the Braun is **** and so are the cells. The micro USB is also more fragile than average. Mine will only charge thru the port if I get the plug in just right angle, and that was after less than 15 charges.

This is exactly what I thought when I got it, I have been vaping for about 5 years now so I have a pretty big collection of 18650's and you are right Samsung 25r's are pretty cheap (around $8) obviously I get mine from vape web sites and I have a nicore dual 18650 digital charger that was also pretty affordable and works great. Samsung 18650's come in high regards in the vaping community and some of the mods guys use pull a ton of power so those batteries stand up well to the abuse. I've had a pair for up to 8 months that take charge and hold it day after day and perform like they were still new. FIY just make sure you get your batteries from a good source lots of places out there sell what they call Samsung batteries that are fakes they re-wrap the cheap cells in a Samsung look alike. You can google search what to look for lots of info on the subject. I'm carful where I buy my batteries from look up some videos on lithium batteries venting (exploding) not something you would want in your hand if it happen, and fire hazard is another thing to think of if you leave them plugged in unattended. Just a heads up

That astro is the exact same as the matco, they make it for them. This one is a bit bigger and two thirds the price. I have this one and the guy in the next bay over has the matco. I love the little light on the end, comes in really handy. I pretty much rebuilt my 6.4 with that light alone.
Gear wrench sells the mac folding light and the maxxeon has the snap on pod light. All good products at a fraction of the cost.
I'm not a tool truck basher, but for something like a light if I can find the original manufacturer and get that one for less I will.

Is that as durable as that looks? I've been keeping an eye out for something like that. Currently have one made by Brother that is very bulky and plasticy. That one looks 100000x times better!

Let me assure you red Milwaukee M12 (like your ratchet) can peacefully co-exist with yellow DeWalt 20v. The tools certainly don't care.

Says it will survive a 6 foot fall... Feels VERY good in the hand... plus it takes regular AA batteries.... My old brother used C cell... pain in the *** to keep around...
I got the Lithium Cell and charger... The screen is backlit … great for labeling in dim areas.
ONE ISSUE... I wanted to do two different size fonts on the same label... like 20 point on the first line then 14 point on the second line or 9 point, etc... I have not figured out if that is possible... I have tried a number of things...
POSITIVE... these labels have a narrow gap along the top... making it super easy to PEEL... get old... you will know what I mean.
1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4"... switching is as easy as flipping the lock and popping the cartridge. WAY easier than flipping the unit over and undoing all kinds of covers.
ALSO... these labels are MUCH MORE STICKY than the brother laminated ones...
OBVIOUSLY a professional unit.

New to me, anyhow. Scored a genuine USA-made 1/4 inch drive Indestro speeder handle. Buried in a box with a few dozen other misc makes at a local place billing itself as "The most interesting tool store in the world". Great condition with minimal wear considering how old it is. Goes well with my Proto half and 3/8 drive units. I would post a pic, but just not bright enough to make that happen.
