Hi Guys Iv been slowly building my kit for mostly diy work around the garage.

I need to stop looking at them Home Cheapo daily ads! Another red tool to go with all of the others. This is my first 12v though. It's smaller and much lighter than its big 18v brother, non Fuel.

I’ve been doing the same thing. Seemed like I was ordering something everyday. Picked up quite a few m12 tools but they are under the tree.

I picked up 2 yesterday using that same coupon, this way I can have one charged and swap them out when one dies. I'm really liking these things so far, tastes way better than a flashlight in your mouth too

Being my first Snap-On box I don’t really have anything to compare it to and with the fact I don’t have a roller cab I am limited with space. For that reason the pegboard is a gift it’s like an extra drawer.

I know the promo stuff isn't "free"!! I have spent so much on my snap on tool collecting hobby, that I get all the new promo stuff whether I buy something or not!! My Snap on rep is a good Bud too, so that helps!!

Then the three drive sizes of new sk lp-90
Then a proto 5249Xl 45 tooth the xl series are very thin.

Last picture shows the side profile comparison between 3/8 drive lp-90 ,5249xl , Armstrong 11-992

Today's haul is quite nice.

I was in Kansas City last week, on a trip to HJE, that SK set looked lonely, so I adopted it. Sometimes a shallow socket is too small and a deep one won't fit.

Today, I adopted that little Knipex wire cutter. Nice feel to it

I have a 5249xlqr - how's the balance/weight compare with the 3/8" LP90?

Also, I don't suppose you have any of the new Proto HTC ratchets? I know it's a longshot, but wondering if the premium pearhead xl series could be upgraded with HTC repair kits? I saw a youtube video of someone breaking down an HTC version, and the innards looked very similar to my xl versions.

After stripping out a rotor screw...decided it was finally time to get one.



This was probably more of a tool want than a tool need, but price was too good to pass up.



I have two cars I work on older than 13 years old. I've been breaking a few clips here and there, so decided to get the proper tool. My OCD won't let me finish up a job without replacing the clip, especially if it's use to hold the wire harness. When I started wrenching on my first car as a teenager, I replaced a door position sensor and broke a plastic clip. I didn't think anything of it till I rolled down the window and heard the window rip out the wire that went to the sensor I just replaced...lol.





I have a feeling the little guy will be the one I reach for the most. I haven't used a single flat head screwdriver from my Wiha Xtra Heavy Duty Micro Grip set for a scew yet...lol



Picked up a 3/8" drive semi deep impact socket set. I figured the semi deep chromes are what I find myself grabbing for 80% of the time, so I figured why not have the same for impact.




Not too short, not too long. Juuust right.

My dealer ran that promo. He said I only needed to buy the file set which I think is somewhere around $150? Probably one of the better promos value wise, IMO.

I only have 1/4 of the proto HTC 90 tooth and the heads are way different the xl are low profile the htc are similar to the proto big dawgs. If someone was crazy enough and was a bit of a machinist one could make a HTC kit fit into a big dawg.

Here are some comparison pictures of a proto 4749p (big dawg with a 6064frk 3/8 anvil) a 4749xl Armstrong 11-992 and sk lp90.

I do have an addiction to ratchets see my plan was when I started buying tools was that I would use the Armstrong maxx 88 teeth ratchets for my high tooth count and then koken zeal for low tooth count. But with Armstrong belly up. And my collection not complete I became addicted to proto big dawgs in my quest to find big dawgs I found the 1/4 & 1/4 flex HTC for stupid cheap. Couldn't pas it up. Same for the two xl 1/4 and 3/8 were 20$ each. Still the handles on the 3/8 5250p big dawg is my favorite and is the same as the 5450p I have but the 4749p and 5449p have different knurling. The Armstrong fit my hands the best. The new sk would be sweet with knurling.

Yep, I see them. Always jealous of your tool hauls. You will enjoy those pry bars. I want to buy those impact driver sockets. I like the idea of a socket rather than just an impact bit.

Again, thanks for the heads up. Google photos has always been finicky about embedding images, but I guess no one ever mentioned anything.

This is the 3/8" drive impact driver; they make them all the way up to 1/2" drive. I think the 3/8" drive is way to go, considering the only bit sockets they make in 1/2" drive are the much larger sizes.

Walmart has a few USA tools even sells Wilde pry bars under the hyper tough name. Even their tool boxes were Waterloo. Mind you the lowest grade Waterloo but at lest they're making an effort to have made in USA or assembled in USA products. Things I have seen are torpedo levels and and 3 foot levels, nail punches , hammers , tape measures, box cutters, glass blade scrapers, and wood chisels ( Buck brother).

Picked up this 6pc Mayhew Dominator pry bar set with the 15% off sitewide eBay coupon. Ended up being $83 shipped. The longest one is 36" long, which seems big until you see it next to the 58" one I already had from a past Sears deal. I still haven't had an excuse to use the 58" Dominator, but I'm looking forward to the day. Then again, the day I need a 58" pry bar may not be a good day.

I also have the Craftsman Professional versions of the 12", 17", and 24" pry bars. Honestly, I like the handles of the Craftsman versions much better.

The day you need a 58" pry bar will be better when you look in your tool box and find a 56" pry bar waiting to be needed. They also come in handy to pry the tool truck off your wallet.
