Well I have always been a Porter Cable guy, and love the 20v impact driver and drill, but I was looking for a big impact, and did not like the offerings Porter Cable had, I also didnt really care for the other 20v tools in their lineup. I tried their vaccuum and it sucked figuratively but not literally.

I've been quite impressed with the porter cable vac. Yeah it's not as good a a big corded one. But it's great for cleaning up little messes. It's leaps and bounds better than my M12 vac. Milwaukee should honestly be ashamed for even putting that thing up for sale.

Why do you have so many drills? I count 6 or 7... just curious.

Well, I was given the two Dewalt drills from work, they upgraded them and I saved them from being thrown out. They work ok, but the batteries are on borrowed time.

The Porter Cables, I bought a few years ago because I wanted an impact driver, and the driver set came with a drill.

The older Bosch was left at a jobsite my dad was working at, I needed a hammer drill so he gave it to me. It didnt have a charger and a worn battery. I found a drill with a battery on sale and bought it.

As for the Milwaukees I explained the M18s, but I really liked the M12 driver that my dad had so I bought one. Then I wanted the M12 impact for little jobs, and I have the heated jacket, so why not.

But I will probably stick with the Milwaukees for a while.

I tried it several times on various jobs, and it just didnt seem to be as good as I was expecting. Maybe my batteries are the issue, but really I I just want a more powerful corded vac.

6c6f450d61c67ceabf8dc3e062134859.jpgRidgid 20V LED light that you can put in any position. Been wanting something like it for years working in OTR trucks and heavy equipment.
Porter-Cable recip saw. Not a big fan of it, but the price was right and I only needed the bare tool (have extra 20V PC battery from impact driver kit), and I needed a recip for a job I was doing.
Eruo-spec Bosch 18V mini chainsaw. This has no practical application, just one of those cool gimmicks that was too cool to not get

That's for violently opening tool packaging so you can tear your new tools apart without having run them at all, obviously. :bounce:

I bought one of those but was very disappointed it doesn't cut like a ms362 so it went back. :lol_hitti

I just picked up one of these, floor model for $68 and it is such a great addition to my garage. I store my air compressor and battery charger in the cabinet and power tools in the drawer. I am loving my Husky benches and their customer support is amazing. Nice purchase,

There are people here with literally hundreds of ratchets.

6-7 cordless drills is nothing.

I've got a dozen or so myself.

Yeah, but the ratchets are more of a collecting thing. Does anyone actually regularly use 100s of ratchets?

Never heard of collecting power tools yet, lol.

I keep 4 cordless drills at work, and sometimes that's still not enough. Plus 4 impacts. I'd keep more, but I don't have the room. I store another half a dozen or so of each at home.

Yes, technically I only use one drill at a time, but when you factor in constantly changing bits, having a compact option, right angle, etc, it's a huge time saver to keep multiple options on hand and in circulation.

I'm also in the same boat with why I have so many and how many are different brands. Each one has its own circumstances and story as to where I got it. I'd much prefer to have just one 18v and one 12v platform, but alas, it's not to be. It would cost way more to change those random ones over than to just stick with what I have now.

So in my case it's not entirely power tool collecting just for the sake of it, but sometimes it feels like it.

That's what I thought. Of course I have other drills that are not in this toolbox. Some stay in the barn, I have given one to each of my boys, and one of the Dewalt drills will probably go out into my truck box eventually.

1/2" drive metric impacts from OEMTOOLS. I found these at AutohausAZ.com for what I think is a pretty good price. The standard length were only $12.77 and the deeps were $25.25.a091ee06a5af9483b4675bba79bff879.jpg

Just be sure to clean it out after each package. AvE's died pretty quickly because it was jammed up with all kinds of ****.

Oh yeah all the way from Japan, saw it on amazon the other day and I’ve really been wanting to try the Koken extensions after seeing so many post in the koken thread but didn’t want to dive right into a set for the cost without getting a feel for them. Man i can tell you just by the fit and finish in my hand i will be investing in the full 3/8 and 1/4 set of these, they are super nice and the knurling feels amazing. Goes together with my wright 3440 like they were a mated pair [emoji108]7b1efb8b6ff2ff8c4365cd21cc90418d.jpg51f252d53973b59616a317f041a64b54.jpg

Had a little project at work the other day and needed some snips. Now, I know we have a pair of them at the station, but like everything else, they're more than likely junk. I headed to TS and bought a set of Wiss straight snips. I took a picture of them and the pair of 3" C-clamps but not sure what happened.

Today while at Menard's I spotted this cheap 2 pc set. They will be going to live in my box at the fire station and the yellow handled Wiss snips will be coming home.

$6.99 for the pair.

Nice, aren't they? My only criticism is that on their longer extensions I wish Ko-ken added knurling down on the shaft a la Mac extensions.

Been a while since I've posted on this thread. Been too busy when the SO guy shows up. Just a few things.

Got the OTC Hub Grappler for $360 on amazon, and used some points to bring it to $300. Not bad considering most places list it for MSRP @ $500+. Wheel bearing is starting to go on my daily, so I've been waiting for this.

I broke the tips off a few of my orange Amazon plastic trim tools. I abuse the **** out of them, and they end up being too sharp/rough for dash work. These will be dedicated for dash only!

Lastly, needed to drop the transmission pan on the gf's car, but exhaust was in the way. Needed the 1/2" drive extension with the 3/8" drive on the other end to get everything to fit.

That extension is the best thing ever, I have one that's about 4 foot long and dont know how I ever dropped transmissions before

I got the same one, it's sweet being able to drop a trans from the back. I got one little guy that works for me that can just about crawl between the trans and cab to get to the bolts, I don't have that luxury.

What’s the advantage to having 1/2 on one end and 3/8 on the other? Is that an impact extension? Only reason I could think of.

I need some 3/8 impact extensions. Beat the chrome off a hf extension removing one bolt that came out pretty easily.

I needed the medium length one. If I got the longest one, I think it would’ve put my impact where the cat is. Need em all! :bounce:

I picked these up for $5.00 at GS recently and had no idea what they were, but they were clearly some kind of clamp...And I dug the brass.

That's it.
They are really quite nice. The vise only opens a very small amount, so the usefulness is limited. I'll sell them. Maybe keep one sell the other.

I bought a 25 cm 1/2" extension, and a key chain 1/4" T-bar, as souvenirs when I was in Tokyo. The Koken fit and finish frankly equals or exceeds that of Snap On.
