Well fortunately this does have a happy ending (the story, not me . . . today). Despite the best efforts of Amazon's crack addled phalloncus in their shipping department it actually survived in one piece. By the looks of it I should be grateful it was in the box at all. Now to start planning a base for it.

Going back and looking through the paperwork and double checking on the website it would appear that my 11106 that I ordered for $89 is actually the Wilton model # 745 (21400). I'll take it!

I needed to do some diagnostic work on a couple newer cars last week and my old OTC Genisys EVO scan tool just couldn't do them, so I did some research and bought these. I was considering the Snap-On Zeus as well, but when I contacted a couple of local Snap-On guys to come to them and see it in person, they were, to put it mildly, not really interested once they realized i'm just a guy and don't work at a shop. One of them told me I could order it online but didn't have them time to demo one until late June, "or so". The other said they sell so fast that he didn't know when he would have another one in stock. And getting any discussion out of them was painful once I told them I don't work at a shop.
Don't get me wrong, I love Snap-On tools and buy a decent amount through their website where they are always friendly and helpful on the phone; and the point of this post is not to bash them, but I think some of the threads about some Snap-On dealers that are rude to you if you don't work at a shop are unfortunately true. I guess spending $15k for a scanner isn't interesting enough, I don't get it. Maybe they just get inundated with tire kickers. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but am not going to buy a $15k scan tool without checking it out in person first.

Anyway, back on track. Supposedly, the Bosch ADS625 can do some things that the Autel Elite can't do and vice versa. We'll see. They both worked great on the cars I worked on last week. Neither of them have a scope though.
I will do a super-detailed review of them once I get some time under my belt with them.

Wow, that's just plain old rude. My Snappy guy would go out of his way to show someone who's not his customer even a drill bit and would drive to your home, office, work just to show it. He says it builds not only a possible customer but a friendship and networking as that person's friend or relative might be in the repair business.

While the wife went shopping for her mom's birthday presents, I went to the nearby HF. Most everything purchased with individual coupons and 20% off.

1st pick all HF stuff.

When I went back to meet the wife, I picked up this large stainless garbage can with a flip-top on sale for $19.99 for the garage. Now to find a nice big decal for it. Maybe Champion Plugs or Castrol Oil.

2nd pick is the new tall stainless flip-top garbage can.

Got some Tekton angle wrenches in. Still peeved that the 11/32 is out of stock. The CNC work is very obvious on some pieces, with half moons and path marks scattered about. Most obvious is the inconsistent lettering. Great, deep engraving on some and shallow rough ones on others. I'll take the hit in finish though if it means saving $800 by not getting the snap on ones.

Yes... I do a lot of trim work... I ran out of the last order of condoms... bought a bigger bag. Running out of condoms is bad. Specially with the tip cut off a new caulk.

I prefer Bisque... it's less striking against a painted background. Wall trim however requires white on white.

If you are going to paint your caulk... you should make sure the paint matches the drapes, so to speak.

Sometimes you need to get rid of old caulk. So I ordered these... should arrive later today. Designed to remove grout but i'm sure it will be useful in removing dried up cracked caulk as well.

One of my tubs was grouted at the border between the tile and tub... that is not proper... should be caulk between any dissimilar surfaces. These can be used for that project as well.

For those that are fixated with my caulk tools... you can come help me re-caulk this weekend.

Got these yesterday. They didn’t fit in the Hanson trays so I ended up modifying them a bit. Unfortunately I took to much plastic off so now they slide around in the trays. However, I’ll never take them out of the box by the trays anyway. I ended up cutting off the handle on top as well to make more room in the drawer.

Williams supercombo wrenches! I was little nervous ordering them without seeing them first. They came in beautiful all except the 6mm appears to have the chrome peeling off. The rest look awesome! Can’t wait to use them.

Are those caulking tools really worth buying?

I usually just cover the end of the tube with duck tape.

Was a couple of bucks for 100 condoms. Been using them for over 15 years. Good results. Tape would work too... I don't carry duck tape when I'm caulking... blue tape doesn't work for me.

The caulk sticks are priceless to me...

The metal spatula is new... I used to use my finger and a rag but recently got stuck needing to get in a tight spot next to a door frame. I ended up using the handle of a sugar spoon... wife wanted the spoon back... so I was given the opportunity to buy a new tool.
