Got this USAG socket set for 450 Nok, this translates into about 47 EURO or 53 USD
I’m very pleased with this, and think it was a bargain.

That definitely was a very good bargin!

USAG tools are awesome, top quality tools.

Where did you steal that socket set from?

Hard to believe for only $53 bucks.

Koken surface drive 17mm 3/8 dr.
Ordered just the one socket to try out.
SD claims to make contact with the flats further away from the corners which I'm convinced they will. This means they should work on badly damaged bolts where even regular 6 point would struggle.

Only available in 3/8 as far as I know. This type of socket is not that widely available. Draper Expert import some as sets and BGS Germany do as well offering shallow and deep.

FYI Sealey do a 'wall drive' 6 point and Hazet a 'traction profile' 6 point. Wouldn't buy Sealey but I do like the Hazet TP. The walls have a pronounced convex profile.

I think the Koken style is a superior form of 6 point. Appreciate any thoughts.

Koken has the surface drive in 1/4,3/8,1/2 and shallow and deep and also impacts in 3/8 and 1/2 shallow and deep

Got the other two accessories from the HF near work when I got off yesterday morning. 30% off the can holder, 25% off the glove holder since it is over $9.99. Can't wait until the new boxes show up at the end of the month.

Ribe socket set. Never heard of ribe before. Never seen a ribe fastener before. Can't imagine I will even encounter a ribe screw anytime soon. But for $11 I was compelled to buy.

Finally broke down and bought a flooring cutter. No more getting up and down to go to the saw. It made it through its first 900 feet without a hitch.

My Fireball block set arrived today.

These are a nicely done set of blocks with small magnets on one side to hold them in position and the sizes laser etched.

God formatting this post was a learning experience for forums based in the early 2000s lol.

Local HW store was bought out, they were clearanceing out competing brands for 75% off. Probably more like 1/2 off once you factor out the local pricing markup.

4-ton arbor press I picked up off FB marketplace. Gibraltar brand?

~1942 Craftsman Drill press, picked up about a month ago

My solution to cutting bar stock down and cutting out blanks. Need to make a stand for it.:

Couple eBay pick-ups, don't drink and eBay folks.

Sick of my gas cans not having a vent. Going to fix that problem with a 31/64 Vermont drill bit + some caps

Some Irwin countersink bits.

Lang Thread chasers. Have saved my **** a couple times already. Would recommend. Also would recommend getting some larger sizes, not sure if Lang sells them but I'd pick them up if they do.

All kinds of things. Setting the height of a saw blade, router bit, etc. Spacers when building something. And anything else you could think of. The benefit of the blocks is that they’ll be easier to use and a lot more accurate and repeatable than a tape measure.

Went to an antique/flea kinda shop with the wife today, rather unimpressed with the selection of "vintage" Chinesium.
HOWever, I could not resist these Hazet 600N, and the old Blue Point Ford brake adjuster wrench. I really have no use for a 41mm or 50mm wrench, but DAMN they just called to me from the peg hook!
(Sorry, but no matter what I do, my pics always post upside down....)

Found in the back of an old Ace hardware. They are down to about 4 small shelves of tools and household stuff. The rest is a gun store.

Got myself a small funnel and the new 14.4V SO light

55kvaf.jpg

Snap-on was kind enough to send it to me with some hardware and assembly required (no screws were put in it)

And I got one of the CP717s with a .401 barrel. Supposedly this is "big nasty" to some but im going to call it "Unicorn kisses" since its just a baby.

Got a pair of Klein combination pliers from an Amazon Warehouse deal. Looks like they're going back since they don't line up well. You have to apply considerable force just to get the cutting blades to touch each other which means they likely won't cut. Shown here next to similar combination pliers from Knipex, Gedore and Facom.

By any chance did you email Klein about the garb. Some of their pliers are made that way with a gap. They claim it's so you don't smash whatever they are built for. Not sure if those pliers are like that or not.

I didn't. I don't like contacting the manufacturer over defects on warehouse deals since I'm already getting a discount for the defects. Occasionally I just don't think the defect is worth the discount so I return them.

I would understand them being designed that way for the grippy parts, and I'm pretty sure the grippy part of these is intentionally designed this way. However, my issue was specifically that the cutty parts didn't come together evenly, which can be seen in the zoomed in picture. This causes them to not cut well under any conditions.

Liked my 3/8" impact from last week enough that I sprung for the hex impact. I'm also thinking about getting the non impact driver, as well as a 1/4" impact. No plans for adding any Snap On 18V stuff.

Also picked up the zip tie flush cuts.
