I picked up a pair of Techangles last week. The 1/2" drive version I bought from a friend that was getting out of the car business. He sold it to me for $200, which was a steal. I liked it so much that I set out to find a 3/8" version too. Found one a few days later locally from someone else getting out the the car business and bought his for $200 as well.

$400 for the pair puts me at about 66% off of list price. :)

Been buying up a bunch of new stuff for the shop at home and my future semi retirement. Youngest son has come to work with us at our collision repair shop and I have also been buying some new tools for myself at the shop and handing down a few things to him. I order online, shop locally and score any garage or estates sales locally and travel pretty far for some oddball finds.

Had a friend drop off a Reed 106 vise...for “free”. We all know this means “future favors”, but there are a few friends of mine that we don’t “keep score” . It all evens out.

Road trip for an old Blackhawk S4 floor jack this past weekend.

Bunch of new Snap On sockets, extensions, ratchets and torque wrench.

Some Dent Fix extra long clip removal tools

Went in halves on a Ferris 61” mower for young son and I

Grabbed a Nupla body hammer recently, nice weight and balance.

I may hit the face with some fine grit sandpaper as it almost seems like they clear coated over the face / pick end. Has anyone experienced that before?

Proto double box reversing 1/2 9/16 wrench in black. Love it my first ratcheting black wrench.

I've been looking at those proto double end ratchets for a bit now. Hoping I can grab the set of em, and not buy a second set of wrenches just for the ratchet half. How slim would you say the thickness is around those ends?

Not necessarily on this brand but I’ve seen that on Channel Lock brand pliers, and other hammers.... preventing corrosion..

Here’s some comparisons. The closest is the SK g pro. I suspect the proto and SK are both made by kabo. 1st comparison is proto with wera joker and kobalt. 2nd comparison is gearwrench and proto . 3rd is SK g pro locking flex and proto. I think the proto has a pretty thin head.

Picked up a new Noga indicator base with minor adjustment. That also came with a free chepo dial indicator and a T shirt.

Forgot about these, small portable mill and draw knife. I had to cut some cedar trees down to make room for the garage. Just happened my wife really liked those trees. So want to make her a bench, table or something unique with the cedars lumber.

Proto looks comparable to the new reversible Snap-On equivalents

Picked up a Stanley Fat Max FMHT33706W 1/2" X 6' Tape Measure.
Nice compact size, very handy and works well. Think I'll get the 16 foot version too.

Made in the USA.

Have a dozen in my shop. They’re king. Solves my “can’t find a tape measure” problem.

Amazon warehouse deal for the win!! It appears to be slightly used once. Almost 40% off. All in great shape save for a scratch or two. This is going to be a really nice addition to the fabrication process.

I repurposed a Craftsman EZ-Fix blow-molded case to fit my new glue gun. The EZ-Fix used oval shaped sticks that were difficult to acquire. There's even a place to hold the bottom stand and a spot for a wrench to change tips. My mini glue gun fits in there too!

Rich,
That's a lot of sticky. I pulled the trigger on that glue gun because of your post... it will arrive tomorrow.

You'll like it. Aside from the color and the cord, it's identical to the 3M Hot Melt Applicator AE II gun that costs more than twice as much.

I also modified the trigger a bit to remove the free play.

Tekton stubby, reversible, ratcheting metric wrench set.

VIM HBR3. Decent tooth count. Backdrag a bit high. Still better than any Chapman ever made.
