Well, I ORDERED a Williams screwdriver bit socket for $13. What actually showed up was one of their screw extractor kits. Since I had to reorder this at 10x the price after they didn't ship me the socket I ordered for $1.25? Screw em, I'm keepin it!

Those screw extractors are the best kind. They have worked wonders in my experience. I knew PROTO had them, but didn't know Williams had them.

Norseman has them as well. A lot of us on here got them on Epstein day a couple months ago.

Having only recently discovered FB marketplace, I now understand why CL seems to be slowly dying. Marketplace is going to make me go broke as every time I browse, it knows just what I want and don't necessarily need, but still have to have. My latest, new to me blower to replace my poorly aging Homelite and only $25.

So my brother in laws dad cleaned out his workshop and he gave me 4 toolboxes filled with vintage tools some craftsman, some Ridgid plumbing tools, a lot of Stanley screwdrivers including a workmaster philips in great shape. Some cheap stuff as well but all cool stuff.

Since you have hands on OEM Stihl build quality, how would you rank the chinesium kit after assembled? I know you ran into some minor issues that had to be addressed while putting it together but is it all good now that it's up and running?

All of the parts fit together really well, the only issue's I see are the rope starter, the rope pulled out once on the first startup, and I feel like i'm going to break something internally on it when I pull it and the decomp pops out, it has a TON of compression, and sometimes you aren't ready for it. The chain tensioner is real gritty feeling, and sometimes binds, and the decompression valve feels cheap. Other than that, the quality of the parts feels acceptable. Will it hold up? Time will tell, but I can tell you, right now it runs great, and has a ton of power. I still need to adjust the carb, and plan on opening up the muffler a bit, then time to start felling some trees.

These are all new or warrantied within the last month. The one closest I just built last night it’s a #3 Phillips permanently installed in a ratchet driver. Bought both parts to make it brand new off the truck. I will be following up on that specific tool a bit later but I chose a #3 as my test mule in case I messed up. lol

Yeah man, made in the USA and everything. Unfortunately like the pouch the hex wrenches came in, this roll is also chinese. For the price though, I'm not complaining.
Last night I got home to see the Freud PB-107B forstner bit set showed up while I was it work. I of course see that the price today has dropped $2 but whatever, I needed them. Next up are some brad point bits. There's a 7pc Fisch set for only $20 I'm eyeballing, we'll see. For now though I'll content myself by trying to work out some sort of decent holder since I'm sure I'm going to shred the clamshell getting them out.

Waited a month for these...Sunflag JIS...all made in japan

Well, it took me 6 months, but I finally ordered a set of these after ogling yours, lol. Sunflag JIS drivers! Nice and colorful to fit in with my obsessive collection of Xcelite/Vaco stuff (neither of which make a JIS driver):

I got an unexpected raise at work, so I splurged and got myself a present. I think I will like using this better than my 3/8 in 1/4 body ratchet.

Cornwell JRFS36A stubby 3/8 flex head
30t, 4-5/8" long

I like these Cornwells. This is #8 for me.

And a picture of the truck to prove they do exist.

Unexpected raise? Surely you aren't a flat rate auto tech. Even requested raises are like hens teeth :lol2:

I'm a machinist, but like nice tools...still, it was unexpected...
Edit: I flagged him down on the side of the road, got his card. He's a cool guy. It was my 2nd time ever on a truck.

Now you need an orange stubby and a T handle.

Snap on 17mm 3/8 drive torque adapter. I have metric made by Armstrong and my SAE from proto. I couldn’t find for the life of me find a torque adapter for 17mm. I paid $32 from snap on store. I wanted 17mm as it’s the size that drives my Astro nano sockets .

Keep us posted how the pinless swivels hold up and perform. I've been interested

Won't be a everyday use item for me, bought them mainly to do brakes on my wife's car, getting to old to use Amish tools every day. After using this little power house I figured they were a good gamble at $60. Been really happy with all my Astro tool purchases so far.
