Williams MWS-12RC 12-Piece Metric Reversible Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set

Upgraded to these up last week. They're replacing an old Titan Combination Wrench Set. I'm in wrench heaven right now.

I have both. My CDI units are both smaller measures 1/4" and 3/8". That said, I do prefer the PI.

Thats a nice torque wrench. How many teeth does the ratcheting head have?

I believe i seen somewhere that it is 32 tooth mechanism. Ill count them tomorrow. I have one dail type cdi for inch lbs, and snap on tech angles for 3/8 and 1/2" drive in the garage. Used the PI several times last night, and have no complaints. The only other ratchet I use at work is a Gearwrench 120xp flex head in 1/2" drive, so the swing arc is noticable compared to it.

Just counted and it is a 32 tooth mechanism.

I've seen those T handles on Amazon. The knurling and price caught my eye, but they looked rough finish wise. Your pics kind of support that. Maxpower makes a similar set, wonder if the come out of the same factory. China I assume?

The riggers bag has a lot more pockets but it doesn’t really stand up well. I think this will work out nicely for my wiring jobs.

Got some new to me ratchets, a Williams and a Proto 1/2 drive, both with black oxide finish, though the finish is almost completely gone on the Williams.

Neither felt particularly great when I got them, but after opening and giving them a good cleaning to remove the gunk, they feel better. Even more so with a small bit of lube. Of course, they're not as nice as the Snap On dual 80s or the Bahco, Stahlwille or Koken ratchets, but I like having some beater ratchets that are nicer then the cheaper made in China Craftsman ratchets.

Some Story: I broke a #6 Snappy Tapered counter sink bit. I have broken the bit a few times... I usually just order a few replacement bits and move on.

SNAPPY is a Made IN U.S.A. company. Quality stuff... Company has great customer service. Never an issue. With shipping 2 replacement 9/64" tapered bits are just around $20.

Figured I break them... lets try China for a larger quantity to keep in my drawer. I buy the set of THREE pictured towards the right bottom of the picture (sitting on their items insert). Clearly the bits say FTG USA on them, along with the size on one face and HSS M2 on a third face. The packaging says MADE IN CHINA.

I expected China... I did not expect them to be "Confusingly" labelled USA. Just a heads up on FTG USA's manufacturing practice.

On the LEFT of my picture is the packaging and bits from SNAPPY...

Just a few things to clean up some plumbing in the basement. My buddy has a bunch of torchs he said I could borrow. I'd still like to buy one to just have though. Not pictured is the 10' piece of 3/4 pipe. The 2' was $8 so I may as well buy 5x the pipe for only 2.5x the price. I will have to remember in future that Menards has 5' pieces for only $10.

In my book a competitor of the Snap On 1/4" set which was $300+ a few years ago and I recently heard over $500, altho I find that hard to believe.

Would also be nice to have links posted for Amazon purchases and other Web site deals, I think.

After trying for 30 minutes with those stupid plastic “C” shaped clips and various other **** on a couple of Shark Bite fittings, I bought this “Tectite Push Fitting Removal Tool” and had them off in seconds. Simply amazing.

I actually got pretty good at knocking those fittings off with a pair of channel locks after my plumber buddy showed me the secret.

Anyway I have a love hate relationship with that type fitting. Dont bury any inside the walls. They leak eventually......

Local lumberyard carries Great Neck as a budget option. Those sets look really good in person. Although the local yard charges $35 for them. Let us know how they work out.

Those have been around for a long time. I had one that was Craftsman branded in the late 90's early 00's. It was a nice design for the time before impact drivers. The allen in the hex end of the bit was really nice. No stupid allen key to lose after the 2nd time you used it. There was quite a bit or runout though with all the various parts connected together. These days I find it faster to just have a countersink bit in a drill and a driving bit in an impact.

The Great Neck set wasn't actually a deal. I believe $27.98 is the normal price on amazon. Unless you only need 1/4'' stuff, some of the other kits(different brands) on there including 3/8'' drive stuff could potentially be a lot better bang for the buck. This set only goes up to 12mm by the way, so that might be a deal breaker for some. I added some sockets to it already as I removed it from the case and put them on rails.

Two sets of pliers: some Milwaukee v-jaw pliers (48-22-6212), a gift from my dad. Havent found them to be any more useful than my Channellock 430s, so they are in my drawer. Feel good though, and I love Milwaukee.
Channellock 212 filter pliers, via Amazon: bought to replace a HF filter plier set that I lost (left on a pump somewhere). These are so much better, and can handle a wider range of filter sizes.

Jobsmart hex bit set, 1/2" drive: bought this at Tractor Supply because I didnt have the right size for a job, on the way to that job. Turned out I didn't have to use it, but decided to keep them. Better deal for all these 1/2" than the single 3/8" SAE set I almost bought.

OrionMotorTech 10pc bearing race and seal driver set, from Amazon. Need it for doing the wheel bearings on my 72 Suburban's Dana 44, and use it at work for lip seals on water transfer pumps.

Astro Pneumatic 1600 16pc punch and chisel set, via amazon.
