With any luck at all this little guy arrives tomorrow morning...I haven't been this excited about getting a new tool in a long time. Been looking for a while now, missed out on a couple, and can definitely use it to keep my $h!t together. Ed.
New Knipex German goodness from Chad's toolbox, approximately 13 inch long cobra style pipe wrench pliers. Part number 83 61 010.
Finally put mine to work last week on some seized outrigger pins on a telehandler. Snappy PH3050 tried, 4980 moved them with almost no effort..498 Astro Air Hammer.
How about a photo or link to the thread with photo in it?!I had all my family over a few weeks ago and I only had a 4 person dining room table for everybody to sit at.....so everybody was standing.
So "I" decided "I" wanted a large farm table for family get togethers. I started looking to buy one but realized that most of the very good quality ones, made with good wood, are crazy expensive. So I decided to try to make one. I did some research on the tools that I would need and headed off to the wood working store. I already have the usual wood tools, (miter saw, track saw, circular saw, jig saw, clamps, drills, levels, etc.), but these tools are the major new ones, (Domino XL, sander, router, track).
One of them is a Festool Domino XL. It makes joining two pieces of wood accurately and tightly easy using Festools proprietary "dominos". It is AMAZING! And being a rookie wood worker, I can say for sure that I couldn't have done it without the Domino XL. I used about 200 140mmx27mmx14mm dominos in it. Festool also makes special connectors to use with the Domino so I used 36 of them to attach the top to the base so the top is removable from the base. I did that because the table top weighs about 350 pounds and the base is about the same. I also got the Festool shop vac and it works great with their tools to keep the dust down.
The table is 9'x47" and it turned out awesome.

Everyone should have a set of these!
This has been posted a ton but the whole JIS isn’t really a thing anymore. Philips standards have changed. If you pick up a regular PH screwdriver these days it should fit both PH and JIS PH screws. Still could be a great screwdriver, not knocking that, but I’m tired of all this JIS talk.

Maybe they should, but I find they don't. Nothing fits the screws on my Japanese motorcycles like the Vessel. My Wiha drivers fit well, too, but nothing made in the USA, not even the Snap-on I've used.

The machinery we have at work still rolls off the assembly line with JIS screws in them denoted by the dimple. JIS is still alive and proper screwdrivers are a must. Phillips is still a **** design that will torque out many screw heads by design and many USA found screwdrivers still follow that design which is poor practice. I believe you are trying to reference the the ISO and DIN versions of a phillips driver that many imported bits adhere to. Those are much better than standard Phillips and work pretty well on JIS also. JIS was supposed to have gone away for the ISO/DIN standard, but it still continues.
I got mine from Tool Discounter. Best price I could find, with delivery factored in. They have them drop-shipped directly from Associated, so it took a bit over a week for delivery.Nice, link to purchase? Thanks
