It’s finally home. Getting in in and out of the truck was a hoot. Had to show the guy at HF how to use a forklift. Then used the neighbors backhoe like a crane to get it out. Wish I would have gotten pictures of it all. efdbff1acaa1fa53be1ecf8836661dc2.jpg

Congrats! I went back and forth between the blue and green so much before settling on the blue 72” box. No regrets, but your picture does make me a little “green” with envy haha...

So I have been waiting a couple weeks until everything finally got here and I'm pretty excited about this stuff! The mac long wrench was a replacement for 1 I lost. The trusty cooks hammer is actually 1 that i have had lying around for awhile never used. But anywho. Thanks to whoever posted the seal removers. My dealer had them to me in a week.

I broke my GearWrench 1/2" torque wrench after 10 years so I took advantage of SK's 30% off and got a new one. Model # 77250. I haven't checked the tooth count yet but, it seems smooth and is nicer than the 36 tooth GW. Also the direction selector can be placed straight in line with the handle to stop it from ratcheting. I've never seen that before.

got a few things in last week from black Friday/cyber Monday deals.

Finally got a set of Trusty-cook deadblows, both flat-flats and ballpeens of a few different sizes. I have been waiting since LAST black Friday to get these things, lol. Got the large deadblow sledge for free in the deal and specifically requested that it be blue, so when I'm telling someone to grab it I can just refer to it as "Big Blue" lol

Also thanks to the 'Hot Deals' section here I got in on a few good deals for some ratchets and a Flex Vacuum. Pretty happy about the flex-head ratchets, they were supposed to be 84-tooth, but to my pleasant surprise they shipped me the 120xp ones!

Those Trusty Cook hammers are great! I own several of their hard face dead blows.

I couldn't help myself...$59 at home depot last weekend. I have wanted to get into the m12 system for a while, but this may become a bigger rabbit hole than I thought.

That is a smoking deal for $59! As far as M12 tools go, you can't go wrong with the stubby impacts, drills, hex impacts, ratchets, and rotary tools. I have a bunch of 4.0's, but I find myself wanting more of those 2.0 batteries.

I've been using the m12 drill to mix 5 gallon buckets of joint compound. I've been expecting it to give up the ghost so I can pick up an m18 drill, but it hasn't skipped a beat!

Latest acquisitions from this week

I waited till black ACME tools' black friday sale to finally pick this up. I wasn't a huge fan of using roloc abrasives on the m12 sander/polishers, but could live with it.

Oakley had 40% off, so I picked up a set of M frames. I've been wanting a premium set of eye protection for a while.

Finally joined the band wagon and got a Noco jump starter. This is the newer revision (old revision has circular status lights and were a little problematic).

Picked up the SO 1/4" stubby metric socket set. I haven't run into a situation where I absolutely needed these, but I've been lusting after them for a while. The sockets will fit in any 11mm wrench and any 1/4" drive ratchet. Wish I had a koken zeal socket to compare it to

I have been thinking about picking up a pair of clear lenses for an older set of Oakley half jackets, great idea. I have to wear safety glasses when in our production facility for work and hate regular safety glasses, they never seem clear enough.

Just make sure the frame AND lens have the ANSI Z87 marking on them.

Something old and something new.

Pretty excited about the rivet gun. $43 dollars for a USA made rivet gun pretty much new in the box. Litterateur on the manual and box show 1973 copyright so not sure what year it actually is from.

OUT with the old Craftsman homeowner saw and IN with the new (to me) Delta!
$300 at a Pawn Shop.

This thing is a huge improvement. I spent most of today cutting with it.

All of my CDIs have the lock function at the middle direction selection.

I've been looking at something like this. Any idea if I can get torx sockets with a kit? Been doing a bunch of seering gear recalls for mercedes and a couple of them are awkward with extensions and swivels, but if I was super low profile I could probably get directly on the fastner.

Picked up this little 4x6 craftsman bandsaw for $40 today. Overall seems to be in good shape and runs nice. I have been looking for one to have options when cutting stuff besides just the chop saw. I like that is nice and small to wedge into a full shop.

Need a T45 :(

They're very low torque aluminum bolts, but the largest bit I had in my EZred kit was T40. I guess I could buy a T45 from somewhere, but was hoping I could get a kit with low profile pass through type sockets. Someday!

Good bits? Where'd you get them?

I'm also asking for VIMs half cut torx and I'll try a matco or gearwrench ratchet on those since they're super thin. Hopefully one of the two, either the bit or socket makes the job easier!

VIM Half Cut Subby Bit Set goes up to T50. Amazon has it for $85

Would go for that over the Snap On stubby bit set.

Grab the Facom/USAG locking flex 11mm ratchet used in the Facom pico HX sets. It’s way better than the crude Snapon, and the sockets are compatible.

That's a nice little saw. Used one like it for years.

EDIT: had an internet issue...

I picked this Pex crimper up at Menard's yesterday. I have to do some plumbing work at my SIL's house. Stuff that my BIL didn't get finished before he passed. I also will be working on the kitchen remodel this winter. It'll consist of some new plumbing lines.

Regular price $80

Red tag sale for $68

Actual ring up price at register $59

Less 11% rebate sale. -$6.49= $52.51 plus tax.

Let us know how it works. I'd like to get a nice set. Torn on the types.
