Received this today for free! Edge Technology is a great company that makes great products. Been happy with everything I have purchased from them. I've always just used a spindle mounted Noga for tramming but can't wait to try this one out.

Nifty little SO roto ratchet that takes 1/4” hex bits.

C3-BF1-B8-D-6-BAB-45-AE-863-A-113-E45650-B84.jpg

I was on the verge of picking one of these up but didn’t really like how the bit holder part sticks out.

I do wish they made hard handles for the roto swivel ratchets though, I had to give in and get the soft handles for my 1/4 and also my 3/8 in 1/4 body rotos.

Picked up some Vessel screwdrivers to try out!

You’re gonna love them! The knurling on the shaft, very comfortable handles, and of course the precision fit on JIS and Phillips heads.

I didn’t care for the protrusion either. I originally bought it to swap a regular 1/4 kit into to have a hard handle roto but after playing with it decided to keep it as is.

There are Snap-on hard handle swivel head ratchets - THNFD72 for the 1/4", FHNFD100 for the 3/8", and FHCNFD72 for the 3/8" in 1/4" body. I'm not sure if there was ever a factory version of the last one, they might all be the 1/4" with 3/8" kits in them.

I have not listed any of my tool "gets" over the past few months... need to get back to that.

Anyway... I needed a long 4mm Hex … using an extention with a short didn't work. I was forced to use a T handle... I got annoyed so I bought these for next time... and there will be a next time.

Bonus... Ares makes my current socket holder rails... this came with one. It's red... my metric is on BLUE... so there's that. SIGH

Yes... AWD tho… Let me look for the link for the regular priced one. It's $44 on the Ares website.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V3TGNR9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

HALF PRICE $22ish on amazon from the normal Ares.com website.

They don't sell an SAE "SET" on the Ares site... I only need 3 sizes in SAE... might buy the individuals.

I have NOT used them yet but they are advertised as "Heat Treated Steel"... so if they break it will SNAP instead of bending. LIFETIME warranty !!! I have had contact with Ares before... easy peezy

Made a venture to do a review on it if interested.

I also got a 3-Tool Combo Kit with Compact Router, Jig Saw and Random Orbit Sander from Ridgid on Boxing day sale, haven't had the time to photograph it yet, will do tomorrow. Was originally intending to buy Dewalt jig saw but the Ridgid deal was too good. Still available at homedepot.com: R8404431SBN

From Jens Putzier and his awesome store. Germany to my Ohio front door within 48 hours for less than $25 shipping. Yes, the ratchet is the 90-tooth long 1/2" drive 916HPL, plus a few extra Hazet sockets.

I had my eye on that Hazet 916HPL since the summer and finally pulled the trigger after Jens had it on sale. The price was too good to pass up. Plus, his sockets are almost 1/2 the price of buying them domestically. My first time buying from him but definitely not the last time.

Absolutely!! I am blown away by the deep socket (already owned some Hazet shallows). I will be replacing all my current 1/2" deeps (mostly old USA Craftsman) with the Hazet. The knurling is such a HUGE plus.

I was going to do the same thing! I’m still deciding if I should.

Yeah I know they have those but despise the neon green haha and I don’t have a truck anymore that would’ve replaced the handles.

I usually hate soft handles on ratchets but on my THNF72 and FHCNF72 I’ve grown to like them because of how slim and uniform they are when using them like a nutdriver.

If the handles get messed up I might do it myself though.

That thing looks like a beast!

Indeed, at 1700 IPM, one half that of my DeWALTf Impact which is at 3800 IPM, it manages to deliver nearly identical torque at really half the noise. I think pro tool review made some technical analysis on specific torque and decibels. I gotta get a decibel meter too if I wanna measure for myself.

Yeah, holding this thing makes you feel confident, I'm really glad for the 5ah starter kit deal home depot offered as well.

I have used Sunex's "warranty" on a defective new item a few years ago and no receipt was required.

Here's some of the stuff I kept from a recent auction, the rest of the stuff I sold, some local but most on ebay after expenses I made around a 50.00 profit. :rocker:

here is my workstation

when I was a tech for Ford I remember there is a guy in the parts department up front that love to play with lock cylinders all day when he had down time.

So just drawers of tools and locks from customers all over the place
