Got me an Anti Fatigue matt from https://www.matsmatsmats.com/ to replace the stupid HF ones that slip out from under you when water gets under them. Even happened on my Free Flow flooring dry.
I will glue a couple of them together and make a nice knee pad or 2.

I just laid it out I'm sure once it gets warmer it will lay flat.
It's 11/16 thick with ant slip rubber on top. I think it weighs 27lbs

Hi, I understand that it fits your miter gauge. My question is what do you need a miter slot for that is 14 inches to the right of the blade?

It’s used with the router not the saw blade. I used the same size rail as the table saw so I can share tools between them.

Went to Menard's today to get some salt for the softner. I wanted to get a cheap snap blade knife to leave in the basement for cutting open the bags.

I spotted this Stanley 2 knife set with a 50 blade pack. I figured for $9 and 11% off, I'd grab it instead. Never hurts having an extra utility knife laying around.

I got a couple new additions. Two Capri 5 mm hex sockets long/short. A 1/4” Tekton torque wrench. A Snap-On ratcheting driver that has been converted to accept the individual drivers.

Westling Machine socket trays, 3/8" swivel, which will hold my recently acquired Astro Pneumatic Nano metric swivel impact as well as my SK deep swivel metrics. Also added a universal tray for my metric Torx, hex and some miscellaneous 3/8 adapters.

I really need to get a set. I have the old school impact driver that you have to put sockets on and it doesn’t fit everywhere.

Got one of the Proto J5447 ratchet adapters to add some functionality to my breaker bars. It’s big and heavy. Next step up is 3/4 stuff.



Also bought a utility trailer in an effort to convince myself I don’t need a pickup truck. Fabform 5x8. Was originally going to go with a 5x10, but it was a little hard to drag around by hand.

Just used it last night and loved it. 7.2 ft lbs for cam cover.

On second thought that was a pretty crappy review. Used it a couple more times

1. Most importantly (after accuracy) the numbers are contrasting and easy to read.
2. At the torque I used (7.2 ft lbs) it had a very definitive click.
3. Was comfortable in my hand and adjusted smoothly.
4. Came in a soft case which I like but am somewhat leery of for drops.
5. I really like the satin finish.
6. Even though my Snap-On Techwrench will read that small I feel more comfortable pulling on a shorter wrench.


Nothing negative to report yet.

Although a classic, The MAC 30 tooth ratchet pales in comparison to what's available on the market today.

Looking at your pictures, I see that you only got one of the updated MAC Axis ratchets that has the screws on top. Why?

I have an updated Proto 3/8 with the screws on top but, the MAC's I have are the first generation with the screws on the bottom.

mac/proto updated the ratchet design awhile back, they all come with the screws through the back now which i dont like but i love the axis ratchets lol. I suprised my coworkers when i said i love it more than my snapons.

By no means am I trying to be an a$$, but lower tooth count means nothing to me. I personally enjoy using metal handled ratchets in general, and they each have their place. I do like their knurling, so they should be nice to work with. The only comfort grip I have is the VR2690FPA, as you can see in the pic, which I actually do really like.

To be honest, I really don't know and it doesn't bother me. There are only a few, a couple really, updated versions advertised on their website. I got a great deal on these and really like using them, definitely my favorite ratchet.

couple small finds at flea market. the mac and snap on didnt even need but the guy said the 2 for a buck.. ok.. the proto screwdriver was in tje dollar tray at another spot. the metal benders I did pay 2 bucks for them.. and last the bonney i asked the guy how much he said ahhh just put it in your pocket and have a good day.. that was my 4 dollar day at flea market

just like snap on has updated their dual 80's... the screws on the front plate are significantly weaker than the updated versions with the screws on the back. screws through the front aren't an issue on normal length handles, but the 15-20" 3/8 drive handles they are making now flex a lot... as versatile as the long 3/8 ratchets are, i don't care where the screws are placed.

they are good ratchets i have two 3/8 flex heads and one 1/4" flex head at the shop. I got them used from the snappy guy after getting sick of having to unload the service truck while working at the shop. they are no snap ons though, and the comfort grips turn to goo in short order.

I started with Mac tools in the 90's... I still have those 30 tooth ratchets, and after using anything made in the last 20 years... they literally sit in the socket sets they came with. it takes a 1/4 of a revolution to engage the next click..
