I've been eye balling plasma cutters and TIG welders for a while, just never pulled the trigger on either on till I saw this plasma cutter on sale.

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/forney-easy-weld-20a-plasma-cutter?cm_vc=-10005

Sitting around the kitchen table at the firehouse this morning we're all talkign about guns we have just bought, parts, accessories and what to buy next. I go from RK Guns website to TSC, although TSC doesn't carry guns. I do have a 10% off coupon from their Friends & Family Reward program.

I spied this small Forney plasma cutter (regular price $429.99) on sale, with the price in Check Out. I go through all the form, filling them out to get to the price. Finally, I see it, $199.99, wow. I plug in the 10% off coupon and it takes that as well and with tax, $193.04.

I did remember to go back out and add a bag of dog food for Bones so I had a little more all together.

Says it'll cut up to 1/4" steel. I'll find out tomorrow.

Good deal. I just tried to get one for that price. The price they’re offering me is $399.

New to me =V= series DOE 1/2 x 9/16 to complete the set that was Dad's. And a CMan 15mm combo because the set I bought several years ago at Sears didnt have a 15mm for some reason. The last couple of weeks Ive ran into some 15mm that I was barely able to get a socket on and one that I could barely get a line wrench on. The open end would have been handy.

I already posted the band saw but my Swag table arrived and I've (mostly) completed a stand for it. It's all bolted angle iron except the removable outriggers at the bottom. They're 1 1/4" X 2 1/4" solid bar tapped at each end for some partially threaded 3/4" solid rod (flared to 1" at the bottom) to serve as adjustable feet.

I wired in an outlet with one plug wired to the switch so I can plug the saw in on the switched outlet and operate the saw with the switch. The other outlet is always hot and will likely run the angle grinder most of the time.

I'll add some wheels so I can tip it to one side and roll it in and out of the shop and I might even paint it. be7edeee7d1320dbe0ca2021e0620477.jpg

Vessel No. TD-70 plate ratchet driver set. I bought (2), one for my on-bike tool kit and one to keep in my box. Pretty nice for $13. Made in Taiwan though, not in Japan.0c6a50d347b0b5fc3a62801b8ea1c90e.jpg64f03e226f9e625ec37f99f59f4c81ae.jpg

Picked up a few things from HF today.

Got the Pole Saw, Mig Welding Gloves, Mig Wire Pliers, Drill Bit Set and Spray Nozzle with specialty coupons and the Welding Helmet with a 20% off coupon.

I actually ordered the Pole Saw on line a few weeks ago. Got tired of waiting and just went to HF store to get it.

Decided to stop thinking and just treat myself on the Matco truck yesterday, dealer gave me a few bucks off too after I decided to buy. So far so great.

I'm bad about posting in this thread.

Among other things here's a few of this weeks highlights.

Magnetic Shims and Stronghand Clamps from Fireball Tool.

Some big and deep Noreseman steppers from Epsteins

A St Louis Low Speed Die Grinder direct from them.

A Norton 2 sided bench stone from Zoro.

I had no idea about those "orange Channellocks". Then again I've never seen a Cornwell truck around here yet. I have seen a Cornwell roll cart in person before but I still think they are a myth.

I've been doing similar. Thanks to ebay I found replacements for my Snap-On pliers that I got in the late 90s early 00s. Took me a while though. Unfortunately they are bead blast finish, I prefer the ground finish on my old ones but whatever.

I did find one that was ground finish so it's an extra. Haven't decided whether to sell them. They're one of my favorites & most used along with the stubby needle nose so I may just keep it.

So happy I found them all. Snap-On stopped making these. I sold my old ones here & on ebay.

The ground finish one.

I couldn't find the black finish version on the Matco website. That ratchet is awesome though so far for me.

Its on there, just under the wrong category (fixed handle).

Mid way down you'll see the 3 black chrome flex heads

https://www.matcotools.com/catalog/hand-tools/ratchets/3-8-drive/eighty8-tooth/fixed-handle/

Not sure the pricing is right though since they're priced like a 15" at $20 more than the standard 12" chrome. Not a fan of the black myself so i'm safe.

Yeah I had totally forgotten about the anniversary version until the dealer mentioned he “had it in black too.” He sold it to me for the same price as the chrome versions, so that was nice. I’m really liking it so far, just a pleasure to use. Glad to hear you’re having a good experience with yours too.

$110 band saw. Came with 3 new starrett blades and 2 roller stands. It spent the winter at my friends shop. I brought it home last weekend. The place I bought it from replaced it with a cnc saw.

New open box Dewalt DWE43116 4-1/2"(115MM)- 6" (125MM) HIGH PERFORMANCE TRIGGER SWITCH GRINDER $60 from the semi local place that sells returns.

View media item 103120

I picked up some abrasive discs and backing plates to try. They were on clearance at tractor supply. I don't know if it is the grinder, the disc, or the combination of both but this thing eats metal. I don't think I will be buying anymore flap discs. (I only bought the 99 cent flap discs at harbor freight)

No dice. Still $399. You must’ve gotten a great deal.

Really ? I can follow the link, add the zip code and gives me that pricing. Does it show you the $429.99 price marked through and
tell you that you have to add it to your cart ?

Your location is Waldo, like Waldo Ohio on 98 ? Home of same fine bologna ? If they have another, make the drive up here and get it.
