$110 band saw. Came with 3 new starrett blades and 2 roller stands. It spent the winter at my friends shop. I brought it home last weekend. The place I bought it from replaced it with a cnc saw.

New open box Dewalt DWE43116 4-1/2"(115MM)- 6" (125MM) HIGH PERFORMANCE TRIGGER SWITCH GRINDER $60 from the semi local place that sells returns.

I picked up some abrasive discs and backing plates to try. They were on clearance at tractor supply. I don't know if it is the grinder, the disc, or the combination of both but this thing eats metal. I don't think I will be buying anymore flap discs. (I only bought the 99 cent flap discs at harbor freight)

Is your Jet saw also the horizontal / vertical model ? I have the same saw I believe if yours does both positions

A college friend of mine is a mechanical engineer. The company he works for is making a tool for opening doors and using pushbuttons without having to touch the hardware.

I thought those were funny (not that one in particluar). There's a bunch of people making these things now, been seeing ads & videos about them.

Decided to stop thinking and just treat myself on the Matco truck yesterday, dealer gave me a few bucks off too after I decided to buy. So far so great.

That's a nice ratchet. Isn't it basically the same as a Proto Professional?

No, that's MAC Axis you're thinking of which is the same as the Proto Precision. Matco's use the same head design as Armstrong MAXX and Gearwrench however since Armstrong and its associated tool plants are defunct Matco ratchets have been made by AJ Manufacturing in IL since about 2016. GW are made in China or Taiwan.

The Proto Premium Pear Head isn't available as a flex head and only has 45 teeth. The MATCO has 88 teeth and a much thinner head.

Proto does have the Precision 90 series which are 90 tooth ratchets that are basically the same as the MAC axis ratchets but, Proto got a much better metal handle with two bands of knurling on a tapered handle. These ratchets are on the thick side compared to Matco's.

Good choice! I had one of those "where have you been all my life" moments when I bought one

You'll enjoy the upgrade. Mine got a lot of use when I was remodeling my house and building some custom cabinets.

Been doing some wood work and most screw's these days are torx the bits that come with deck mate brand screw's are good for about 2-10 screw's spax brand screw's come with better bits but still not that great the only bits I had were koken zeal broke a few (wrong application) bought some of these hoping they will be tougher than normal bits. $55 dollars shipped seemed OK to me but maybe better deals can be had not really good at shopping Taiwan brands. This had two day shipping and didn't want to go out. Although home depot is considered essential in Washington state.IMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FElite2%F0%9F%A7%9C_20200425_132603.jpegIMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FElite2%F0%9F%A7%9C_20200425_132527.jpeg

A quick CL scan for tool boxes a craftsman 42" box had just posted. For a price that seemed to good to be true. So took a chance and we ran and picked it up for $300. Thing was mint and all draws had liners. Put more scratches in it hauling it home than it had from previous owner.

Attempted to look up model number and google failed me. Can you guys provide me details on what the box is and when it was made?

Did I get a good deal?

I'd say you did! Good deal.
I'm in the market for another box myself, but what disappoints me, is that most "off brand" boxes advertise 100-150lb drawer capacity, even on the double slide drawers. I've resorted to having to buy someone's used big 4 box because of a better drawer load capacity.

And maybe cause I'm picky about my drawer layouts. Hehe.

The toy in the foreground is my most recently acquired tool. Been a long time coming to get a good set of Oxy-Acetylene Torches -- especially when you live, and work on stuff in the rust belt.
The toy in the background is a project I'm working on with/for a friend. 85 Dodge W350 with a Holmes 440 tow body/boom.
Plus an overall look at mine and my fathers shop..0321202108.jpeg

Knipex plier and a KT pro 1/4 inch drive 2 inch extension. Soon as I got it I took took the mastercraft one I had and broke it in a vise payback for dropping all those sockets into hard to reach areas. It was machined to small and never fit a 1/4 inch socket right.

New vs old Channellock. I shouldn't need to tell you which is which but since I burned through the jaws on my old 90s era Craftsman dykes I was looking for a made in the US supplement. I found a pair of 337s at HD for within a dollar of what I could find them online so I snagged them and noticed when I got home they looked suspiciously like another pair in the drawer. Yup, both are 337s. (Not pictured are a handfull of Empire String levels)

I think the 337s are part of the XLT series that are supposed generate more leverage. Does the pivot pin appear to be any closer to the cutting edge relative to the old pair?
