Got another grocery shopping tool for when I have to go grocery shopping for the wife.

This 6 foot ultralight pack rod for keeping in the truck if ever I need lunch or find a nice river/stream to fish in.

P.S.
Yes fishing rods are tools. IMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FDiamond%F0%9F%92%8E_20200501_112914.jpegIMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FDiamond%F0%9F%92%8E_20200501_112941.jpegIMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FDiamond%F0%9F%92%8E_20200501_113003.jpegIMG_MJL_%E2%93%82%EF%B8%8FDiamond%F0%9F%92%8E_20200501_113048.jpeg

dubdoc,

You're going to want the socket for that Honda pulley as well (assuming the 4 cylinder engines use the same 19 mm bolt as the 6 cylinder engines)

What reel are you going to throw on it. I have been looking for something like this for a long time.

They've got you right where they want you. All they have to do is release another color and you're basically obligated to buy it.

Great , JDM series blazon pack rods seem to be new 2020 released showcased at a early January or December trade show in Japan. They have many pack rods their most famous is the "triple B". My blazon and feugo are JDM made in Vietnam. USA currently has small market for pack rods. But in live in Washington state and many high mountain lakes and streams for hiking and fishing need good tools for that .
I ended up getting the Blazon baitcast rod with their bass x reel.

Yea the US market for telescoping seems to be "toy" and novelty. This looks to be a legit rod in a small package. Wish they had this while I was still in Alaska. Would have been nice to have on my Caribou hunt. But being back in the midwest this should do fine for bass and catfish.

After hearing what a friend paid to have his Honda smoke tested I grabbed one of these from Amazon under the advisement of a good friend. I'll put it to good use shortly.

Let us know how it works.

For that price it would be worth it if you can make one repair.

With the little I've learned from watching Eric O videos I'd be willing to give it a try.

A good buddy, and 40+year A tech owns it and says it is very well made and worth every cent. He was the reason I ordered mine. HTH

I'll be trying mine in a few weeks.

Just a couple things I snagged at HD today, a poly quick square to backup my metal one and a poly torpedo level. I really like the DeWalt razor knife I have but I figured I should have at least one that takes regular blades. The slider on the side is nice but nothing amazing, it doesn't slide very smoothly but hopefully that will improve with use. The one thing I don't like is the spare blade storage. The cover hinges out from the middle and there is a metal clip that holds the spare blades against the body. You can either put them cutting edge in towards the metal body or turn them over and push them into the clip by the sharp edge, neither option seems ideal. Overall it works well enough, it's not super thick like some I've used and I think it will be worth not having the slider on top but there's still room for improvement.
Also I was able to use both my old Channellock 337s and my new 337XLT side by side and there is a difference. I was clipping some wire fencing and decided to test them by clipping a few wires with one and then switching to the other. The new ones are easier to cut with, it's not a HUGE difference but it is a noticeable one. I'm glad to find the XLT thing isn't just BS.

I just got a nice surprise from the USPS, a package from Epstein's faster than I expected. The Lutz file handles are a different shape than pictured and alas still too small for my big farriers rasp. :dunno: The Bahco blades, a buck apiece? Can't hurt. The SK Robertson drivers were a $5 WTH purchase. Oddly #1 & #3, #2's seem to be nonexistent. All I could find with their #2 (83602) was an ebay auction for a 1, 2, 3 set for $40, weird. The pliers though, the pliers are the real gems. The Wilde flush joint pliers are really nice, super solid in your hand and the flush joint just looks awesome! I honestly kinda wish I'd ordered two. The Diamond pliers handles are completely unfinished, they remind me of an old pair of my dad's pliers. No handle coating, no checkering, no knurling, nothing, yet they still felt like some of the nicest pliers I've ever held and these feel very close to that. They're a lot like the Tsonuda pliers I have in that the cutters touch and the jaws are close enough to touching you can only just barely see light the entire length. They're a little stiff but a drop of LMO and use will smooth that right out.

Those file handles do not look like Lutz file handles. Regular Lutz handles look like the first four handles in my picture. Lutz Skrooz-on handles look like the fifth and sixth, handles in my picture. The seventh and eighth handles in my picture are no-brand handles, that neither say Lutz or Made in USA on them.

Yeah, they look way way off. Fortunately I didn't have my heart set on them and while they are nowhere near big enough for what I wanted them for I've got more than enough files still that I'll get them mounted on something before too long. I just grab file handles whenever I see them cheap and between them and chopping up broken shovel handles and branches I am actually approaching the point where I won't need any more. As nice as store bought handles are sometimes it's nice to use one with a handle you made yourself.
