Picked up a single Mac Knuckle Saver to try out. Open end has quite sharp outer edges and tips that dig into my palm. Weird design.

Recently picked up the 3/8" baby brother version of my existing torque wrench.

New brushless screw gun.

The best digital tire pressure gauge I've ever had!

Haven’t bought this sort of mechanic tools in a very long time. Astro Pneumatic and Tekton. Very happy with all of it!

Where are you guys buying your lifts? Finding any good deals? I'm starting a motorcycle shop and may pull the trigger on one soon.

Bought mine directly from Handy.

Look into bankruptcy auctions though if you are looking for a deal. Bike shops or dealerships that are going under usually auction off the lifts and you can get a decent deal. A ducati dealership went down around my parts and they sold a ton of american made lifts at auction. I missed it so I ended up buying directly from the manufacturer.

I can't speak for others but my first one (original Handy) I bought from a guy who bought several from a dealership going out of business. Mine was still new at that time.

The second one (Handy SAM 2) I bought two years ago I purchased from Garage Equipment Supply as they were the cheapest at the time. However, I don't think they are still in business as I just tried to look them up for ya off of my old invoice and had no luck.

I purchased my Handy BUL lift from Mile X equipment, cheapest I found at the time and I picked mine up at the factory in Iowa.

Thanks, guys, for the lift info. So far the best price I have found is $1,315 (from Mile-X Equipment) for the bare bones S.A.M. 1200 delivered to my house. With the wheel vice I'm looking at just under $1,500.

I bought from Handy directly, they were offering 15% off on Leap Day back in Feb., because of the red and COVID it did get delayed a bit, but I am very happy.

Make sure you include freight charges in your shopping. Handy was more expensive but freight and lift gate charges were cheaper than other places which made it a wash. That and the 15% off.... I bought direct.

Nice. I think you'll be very happy with your decision. The SAM 1200 if memory serves is the same size as my original Handy but without the rear wheel dropout and 200 lb. more capacity.

The only issue I've had with my original is loading lowered bikes with the shorter standard 24" ramp and occasionally the somewhat short 84" length. Those were the two biggest areas I wanted to address when I bought the SAM 2, somewhat longer @ 93" and with the 40" long ramp somewhat easier loading of lowered bikes.

Either way you can't go wrong with a Handy. I had a Cycle Pro for about 8-10 years and I was glad to be rid of it, kicked myself in the *** immediately after I purchased it.

What I ordered from Amazon:

What Amazon thinks they sent me:

Open the box:

Nope.

caf0c9c7a6d2ac2c0543d19c1f9d5872.jpg

So, I do the sent wrong item thing, need to get what I ordered. The item is “non returnable”, so cant be replaced. Bunk.

Off to customer service chat. Got wrong thing shipped here. CS confirms, “not returnable”. So, can issue refund, or ship a replacement.

So, shipping replacement. I’ll either get what I ordered, or a second box of the wrong thing.

Place your bets...!

Surprisingly, the reship is good. One box of 1/4” NPT plugs arrived.

Some small goodies came in today.. I really don’t have much use for even 1 pair of ignition pliers, so idk why I bought 3.. I just have an addiction I guess lol. Japanese hand tools are quickly becoming my favorite, they are so so so nice.

I'm shopping for one as well. Any particular reason why you chose this one over something like the Wheeler?

I bought mine directly from Handy during a new year's sale in January 2018. The sale was for 18% off and free ljftgate shipping. I have the Standard 1200 model. Also bought the side extensions and the dolly for it, both highly recommended.

They had regular sales like this back then. Try giving them a call or email. They were really great to deal with.

Today texted the riding buddy and asked if he wanted to go on a ride. Said he was gonna help a friend install some deck umbrella and said I could tag along to the ride to Tacoma.

Got there and his buddy had a bunch of cheap pneumatic drills and die grinders that he received from a family member. Said I could take what I wanted. I picked up an angle and straight die grinder.

Nothing fancy but can't turn down free! I offered to give him something and he was just like, "you helped with the umbrella - that's your payment thanks!"

I like the light. Seems good, especially for the price. I bought it for use under my new hoist. Looks like it will do the trick. I’m pretty happy with my Astro and Tekton stuff.

I went on YouTube and watch few reviews and really like the solid one piece main body. It’s pretty solid and well made in the USA. I did have a slight issue with the front sight on the truglo since it was a little bit longer but it was still pretty easy with this tool. 96655ff0d06f70d6e3f1558c2c8ac695.jpg489f682b4af072839452666c61651a1e.jpg

I was that guy today. Ran into home depot for a pad lock, check the clearance, cause I always do. They had the M18 rover light on clearance for $84. Looked like a deal, so i grabbed one. It rang up as $20 even. So i told the cashier to ring me up for 3 total, paid and ran back for the last 2. Got 3 total for less than what I thought I would pay for 1.

Today started out like poop, but it is looking up.572e0b88d0ec5a312a2e9a75ab19028f.jpg

Finally bought a set of Torque Extensions.

Bonus Fathers Day sale item a 149 pcs 1/4 inch Ratchet Bit Set. Was supposed to come with a free 42 pcs 1/8 inch Ratchet Bit set but they missed it on the order.

14 minutes on hold and all was resolved.

The Bit Sets will work nice for some of the smaller things I work on from time to time.

Decided to update my older screwdrivers with the new style grips and also got a few precision pliers I was waiting on to finish my set.
