The regular pliers in the hose clamp set are nice. The remote pliers are TRASH. First time I used them the cable snapped.

Thanks, I picked up one of those vices. The reviews were awesome! I think I'll use this a lot on my mill.
Picket up a set of 1/2 SK SAE sockets off eBay for a good deal, and in basically new condition. Once I put them in the tool box I realized I already had Craftsman USA and Husky sets. I guess you can never have too many sockets, but I think I can unload one of the sets. At least I have a car that has some SAE along with metric. Gotta love late 70's A/G Bodies.

Hate to think of the labor cost of the precision vices I've made, hell I had more than 35 bucks just in the iron and the heat treating. I made one vice that was within 0.00005 parallel and within 0.0001 square. Probably had at least a hundred hours into it. It used a hand screw to tighten and had various holes to screw in stops etc.

Finally tracked down the 3/8” spinner handle driver (F50CSA) to complement my 1/4” (TM4CSA). I really like these due to the square drive in the **** of the handle which allow them to be used as handled extensions:
Great find! Been looking for the 3/8” one for a long time...definitely green with envy haha. I’m a huge fan of these spinner handle drivers, use the 1/4” all of the time. So handy. Let me know if you don’t end up liking it [emoji23]

I have to budget these days to buy things I don't really need. I did a lot of comparisons and I know this isn't a high value for what they get for them. But I really wanted this and I've turned a few bolts with it now. Enough to say I'm beyond pleased.
I'm an SK kind of guy and it isn't that I don't like my standard LP90. I just wanted to try something different. The LP90 beats it in small head size. But the Proto is smoother right out of the box.

I did more research...your ratchet is a 90 tooth while the one i posted is a 45 tooth so no comparison there... i still wish they offered the duratec handles since they offer them in the mac ratchets

I get that. Mac trucks are as rare as hens teeth these days. I am pleased to hear the good reviews in the handle. I thought it looked comfortable

I have tons of Mac Trucks in my area but we haven’t had a Cornwell truck in the whole state in over 20 years but we have all Mac, Matco and Snap-on

Why do you refer to it as a Duratek handle?
It's not shaped like their Duratek screwdriver handles. To me it's a meh handle. It's not serviceable and gets a little gummy when exposed to brake clean. It does have a nice taper but, I'm not real excited over it despite having a few in each drive size. I would have preferred a hard handle based on Mac's older red rectangular screwdriver handles but, that's just me.

I called it that just because of the similarities and I did think it was made out of the same hard plastic but now it sounds like it is more like a soft snap on grip material. In terms of service of the grip, sounds like you have to replace the whole ratchet?

Lol [emoji23] it’s cool I only have two tools from them that I found at the pawn shop one pair of snap ring pliers and a 5/8 deep socket they work nicely for getting the job done. I am thinking about ordering some stuff from them soon they carry a lot of interesting stuff that the other tool brands don’t I just wish we had a truck here we had one start about a year ago and he went bankrupt within a week because no business would let him stop buy and refused him. Another mechanic told me they haven’t had a regular Cornwell truck here since about 1996 or 97
