Nice!! Almost picked up the zero offsets earlier this week on promo but I guess I'm still waiting on my ktc set from Frank's tools, is 9 months long enough of a wait to start bitching?

Misery likes company? I've been waiting on a few things myself, last I spoke with Frank corona-mania had shipping frozen. That was in may, for a march order. Not sure what corona virus has to do with shipping a screwdriver or other hand tools, but apparently someone in japan is sweating it.

I know shipments from Japan have been ultra slow, I think they shut down one of the main shipping services.. ems maybe? I just assume at this point I'm not getting my tools lol. Kinda bummed as I don't want to order through Amazon Japan, but that might be my only option at this point.. hope your tools make it to you! 😀

I can't think of any wrench set worth waiting nine months for :wtf: however, i know I waited longer than that for the SK metric X frames to come out, call me stupid. If i needed an extra long zero offset wrench set, I think I'd grab this capri set. https://capritools.com/shop/double-box-end-wrench-set-metric-8-24-mm/
I like not having a tool truck bill

Curious as to the benefit of them in an impact driver? Is it because they are magnetic? My Milwaukee impact holds bits pretty tight, but am always open to better methods!

The Rapidaptor magnet is actually pretty weak. I like the way they lock the bit in just by inserting it, with a very quick release mechanism. No more bits left behind in the screw head, for one thing. I also use the Wera Impaktor holder for really hard impacting jobs, where the driver is impacting the entire time. Wiha also makes a similar adapter with the quick insert/quick release. I'm believe there are others.

For using bits that don't fit into my impact? I guess I am just not understanding why i would add more complications to the system. All the bits I use on my impact are specifically for impact use, what does the impaktor stuff gain me?

A torsion mechanism (with two torsion zones) in the shaft that absorbs the impact shock.

Different solutions for different people, that's what makes this world great. The Capri set looks nice, and is priced great, but I've always enjoyed using the rest of my Snap-On wrenches, and am willing to pay for the quality and support for this set given what their intended use is - breaking stubborn and hard to reach fasteners. I know this won't matter to everyone, but now more than ever, buying American and supporting small businesses means a lot to me. I also like not having a tool truck bill - I don't owe my driver a dime. Never have, probably never will. In the words of the great Randy Moss... "Straight cash homey!"

I've been rounding out my tool set as of late. These are what I've gotten over the last few months.

I stumbled across a MAC truck on Friday. I bought a new hammer, 30" breaker bar, and 3" 1/2 drive extension.

I got a set of metric 1/2" drive SK Standard Sockets

Flex SK Metric sockets 3/8 Drive chrome & impact

1/4" drive deep SK metrics

3/8 drive SK Impact Sockets

3/8 drive Wright impact extensions

1/2" drive SK flex head ratchet

Wright 1/2 drive deep SAE Chrome Sockets

A set of SK 12 point Metric Long pattern wrenches & a 24MM Wright Combination wrench

and a Chicago Pneumatic die grinder

And you can see my 30 Gallon Kobalt compressor in one Pic, got that ~6 Months ago

Well after using PB Swiss drivers and Nepros ratchets for years I would cuss every time I grabbed one of my Craftsman wrenches, sockets or even the park torque wrench. So I finally said F it and treated myself to new tools. Full set of Snapon flankdrive plus wrenches and flankdrive extra sockets, snap on 0-50 in-lb torque wrench, 40-200 in-lb torque wrench, 5-25nm torque wrench and dual 80 ratchets in all 3 sizes.

Sure wish I would have upgraded sooner, but these should last me a lifetime now.

Whoa, nice haul!!

Pretty impressed with the quality especially after coming from older USA made craftsman. I ordered a full set of SAE and Metric ¼ and ⅜ drive in shallow and deep. Still waiting on a few items to arrive as all the shipping to the PNW seems to be delayed due to the fires. After receiving these I think I will probably invest in the same for ½ and probably the mid lengths sockets in the ¼ and ⅜ as I use those sizes the most. I have used the **** out of my PBSwiss hex and torx drivers and they are still going strong and I love them, but considering the Snap-on long torx set in ¼ as PBSwiss only makes their Torx sockets in ⅜ and now all of my torque wrenches in that size use ¼ drive.

I will say after using the Snap-on ratchets, I still prefer the Nepros.

I do a lot of suspension work on high-end mountian bikes, which requires the use of open end wrenches. So I am a bit concerned that the flank drive plus open ends are going to be a bit too aggressive on those precision aluminum fasteners, so thinking a set of ratcheting wrenches with the standard open ends my be the ticket for those, but not sure yet.

They tried valiantly, but even my Cobras could get me out of this one...

So these arrived today:

They worked in seconds...

(I already owned the other style disconnect for this kind of thing, but there was no room to use them)

There is a small tool made by CTA that works on those power steering and transmission lines, it saved me several times over

If I didn't have a fistfull of various and assorted sets I've found here and there going through the garage I'd jump on that set! I don't use them often but when I do I like having a nice set and I really like how they're differentiated by more than just the numbers stamped on the side, that's a really slick set there.

Picked up some new condition PB Swiss from a GJ Member. My first experience with PB Swiss stuff and I absolutely love the grips. I'll definitely be adding more PB Swiss to my arsenal.

These pair well with the VIM Half cut sets.

Also picked up the new SO Carbide scraper.

HD has a sale on the tire inflators recently. Inflator + 2 batteries + charger for $99. I needed more compact batteries and had the inflator on my wishlist for a while.

Last but not least, finally picked up a Mac pocket prybar. Just learned they offer free shipping, so I might be trying out a few Mac items, specially their RBRT line.

Mixing up where I spend my money, but all of these purchases have been used on, or are required for future projects. Sk steals and deals, FB marketplace, HF, Menards, Farm and Fleet, and Maxtool cover the vendors. And yes, that is a 10mm deep well 3/8" socket.

Not sure if this qualifies as a tool, in the usual sense, but I got a rotisserie! Man, is this great!

Just ordered a set! $15 isn’t bad and I didn’t have a nail set. Had been using regular pin punches carefully which isn’t great. Already have some Tekton which I like and those aren’t even the made in USA ones.

Hey those look nice, I'd assume Wilde built? I like that the size in 32nds is indicated by the number of knurling stripes.

Loaded up on some more Festool and got a shirt as a bonus. Absolutely love the new installer set and super happy I bought the sand paper storage Systainers for the sanders. Still waiting on two more sanders to be delivered though.7fcb5bc8316f1ed7aabc50f080d42661.jpg
