Same here. Last year Amazon had the 5 gal cans on sale for $21. I bought 8. Wild redhead thought I was nuts until the next hurricane.

Made in WV, just up the road from the wild redheads home. Another win.

$21?! You **** :)

This magnet attachment did not come in the kit. It is advertised on the website as supposed to be part of the kit. I called E-Z Red customer service and was mailed one no charge.

I like the E-Z Red Hood Hawk. The beam is broad and bright on both lumen settings. However, it is necessary to lubricate the release mechanism for the clamp and magnet attachment. Otherwise, a hard tug or pry tool will be necessary to remove the attachment from the light.

The Wera ratcheting driver was a replacement for a kaput SO driver, which thanks to GJ members, was replaced by SO.

The Wera kit was a Secret Santa gift from a co-worker.

WOW! Nice coworker, I want to work with your coworker :)

how much did the ez red lamp cost

Hi roadruiner,

I purchased it from ToolTopia.

ToolTopia had a 10% off coupon from Black Friday until the end of November.

It also ships orders $49 and up free via FedEx.

With the coupon discount and after tax, I paid slightly under $94.50.

I haven't had a chance to handle the Carlyle's but based on everything I've read about them I'm planning on picking one up for my road bag the next time I drive by a Napa store. Enjoy!

I have 2. One in road bag one at the shop. Great tool for the money. Considering Mac, Cornwell and Matco sell the same Taiwan made tool for more than double.

That's pretty cool. I have the Milwaukee hood light, and it's great, though my son's GF has a Pacifica that was too wide for it. I figured I'd swap to the new M12 Rover with magnets. Nope. Aluminum hood.

We got a new matco dealer stop by my shop today and I picked up a set of hyper step drill bits. After reading all the praise they receive on the web I figured I'd give em a try.

it's too tall.

I have one that I have cut a few inches off the legs.

We do a "LeMans Start" in my racing series and I use it as a step to get on my dirt bike faster. #oldmanproblems

Sorry about the stock photo... it's not like me to do that.

A Klein ET60 Voltage tester... no switches... no batteries to worry about or leak. Needed it for my go bag...

It goes from 12volts to 600volts with indicator lights. Also works with DC as well as AC with indicator lights identifying the source.

Works with the new outlets by supporting the probes with ONE HAND. Probe wires are also removable...

Almost bought the ET40 but the ET60 is superior for only 4 bucks more. :pimpflash

Finally got a nice set of T-Handles

attachment.php

I bought that same set around when you did. I don't have a good spot to use the stands and have extra drawer space so the stands are in basement along with a few hundred other things I'll never use but are too good to throw away.

Upgraded my toolbox in my shop. These 84” Tool Vault Elite XL boxes are nicer than the high end boxes from Snap On and others. I can’t believe how well built this is and the powder coat is top notch.

Now I need to transfer tools from my Snap On 55” toolbox and get to organizing and purging!

Some Icon long swivel ratcheting wrenches (getting ready to do motor mounts on my wife's Odyssey where these will be handy...)
iOCe5IL.jpg

For an upcoming drive across the country:
AWhkdfZ.jpg

A Cyber-Monday purchase finally arrived:
rg3XRaX.jpg

I'd read about gripes with their chrome plating being a bit messy, and mine have small issues on most of the wrenches. Examples:
46uZorm.jpg

AGneX19.jpg

(these look like water marks in person, but don't wipe away with a microfiber. There are also a fair number of small scratches - I'll probably add plenty of my own)

I'm trying to decide if I care. I don't really polish tools (though I did wipe those down to make sure it wasn't just handing during opening/etc.), and I'm assuming these will work great and have zero issues with corrosion/etc. over time despite the imperfect chrome (and covered by their warranty if so...). It is slightly annoying for a $200+ set of tools to be consistently flawed out of the box though...

The wrenches feel great. They're lighter than I expected, but clearly beefy in spots that will see stress.

Don't assume anything, you will own it if you let it slide now. I would place a phone call and send a note to them with pictures asking for a pick up slip and exchange. They should be ashamed to let those out in public.
