Just received a set of Wright flare nut wrenches 5pc in metric. I am really disappointed in the QC of these wrenches, going to get in contact with Wright tomorrow and see what happens.

Looks like the Snap On set I got a few months ago. They replaced it no problem.

Ellis 1600. I’ve had the Walker Turner for a few years. LWS had better price than I could find online. And, they had it in stock.

You'll love the ellis. Have a ellis 2000, dad used it for fab shop for yrs. Simple saws that just work. And like the rotating head

I have no doubt it will be replaced, just a bit disappointed by the fact that 3 out of 5 wrenches had significant quality control issues. They still look nice and I heard a lot of good things about them, looking forward to using them.

Just came in the mail. :)
If I count the Knipex bottle opener group buy I'm in, does this make/count me as a "fanboy"? lol
Had to see what all the fuss is about with these tools, I'm a Channel Lock guy.

Snap-On guy comes today and I go check out what’s new and see if a few things that I’ve wanted are on the truck. No dice so I got off the truck and went back to work.

Does the story end there? Of course it doesn’t.

Half an hour later I need to talk to a tech when I realize that the truck is still there and he’s on it. As I’m talking to him I decide to check the used tool drawer. Lo and behold a 250 ft lb S-O torque wrench is staring back at me. He says $225. I counter with $150 and my Icon 250 ft lb torque wrench and now I have a new torque wrench. Looks absolutely like new. Guy had it for a short time and realized he needed a tech angle.

Wife: What do you want for your birthday?

Me: Nothing.

Wife: Don’t be ridiculous. Why don’t you buy some new tools or something.

Me: Umm, OK.

Best birthday ever!

Early 1990's, basically rebadged stanley blackhawk for that period. No frills, get the job done type tools. Most of it was pretty good.

I always worry about Karma buying tools from someone's former significant other at pennies on the piece. :dunno: :bounce:

I figured if I didn't someone else would, I told her they were worth more & even offered her more, she said it wasn't about the $$ & I could tell she didn't need it. Her words of wisdom to me were treat your wife right, don't be a jerk, I told her I live by the happy wife, happy life rule, that was my good karma to be there.

Ko-Ken metric mixed 1/4 and 3/8 set. Found it very lightly used for 25% off retail. Great set which includes a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter as well. I am adding some finger spinners and universal joints as well as this set does not have those.

Finally got a cordless die grinder, been using an 1/8” rotary and it’s just not the same. This one has a good feel and balance plus the 3 speed, variable speed selection and soft start are nice, not to try it out and see.

Have you used that Tekton tap & die yet? Any opinions? Not something I use often enough to buy anything too expensive, but I need to pick one up. Luckily in my part of Arizona rust is not really an issue, but mistakes happen. I have used my re-thread kit a few times.

Not in the true sense of drilling and taping, but before my thread restore set showed up I did use them to clean a bolt hole and a bolt. It worked, however probably not the best way to use a T&D.
They seem okay for a cheap set that will probably work for me. Time will tell.

I looked at exactly that same set only a few days ago (after a discussion on another thread).

Interested to hear how they go!

I didn’t order because I was in the middle of another project and just ordered a plasma cutter!

My “Wish List” is growing faster than I can clear it!!! Need to peddle harder!

Some things showed up from Cyberweld.com. Super excited to try these Black Stallion BM88 MIG gloves. No pictures, but I also had my metal thickness gauge, some 0.024” MIG wire, a nylon brush, 1/2” dr. 3/8” shallow socket and 1/2” dr. 5/8” deep well to replace my missing sockets show up today as well.

I prefer them over a "traditional" stick glove. I only use the left though. Lol.

I finally found the rather elusive new M12 Rover service light. I like it so far, definitely worth $59. I'll be using it at work the next few days to put it to the test.

High on my list. I'm waffling on whether this or the Milwaukee m12 RA die grinder will be first.

I have the Milwaukee M18 die grinder and I regret having bought it... (PM me if you’re interested!) ...I’m going to get the M12 RA as soon as I get a chance.

Ordered the parts to make one of these today:

May have went a little overboard lately with metal fab tools. Fein dry cut metal saw.

Having invested deep into both Milwaukee & Dewalt it really comes down to what you like best. The dewalt die grinder has a really nice feel to it, almost contoured. I ended up getting the m12 multitool & the dewalt multitool they both have there place, but I go for the dewalt when space isn't an issue, just feels better.

I have all Dewalt 20v tools and have only recently started acquiring M12 tools. Your description of the Dewalt DG feeling contoured is similar to my feelings about most Dewalt tools. In fact I'm one that hates the handles on the M12 tools but there are just things I wanted and M12 was the only option.

I've heard the m12 RA die grinder is noticeably weeker and prone to being bogged down compared to the Dewalt, but I think the size and RA configuration will come in handy often enough to make it worth it.

For me, it's a question of "when" and not "if" for both of them.
