I'm an m18 shop tool guy only but been getting the m12 stuff since I like their ratchets and a small tool kit for the house too. Battery life has been very good so far

An assortment of nut drivers and Torx by Minimax. Made by Felo.
Awesome too! The handle is very good, a premium feel. I love the nut drivers, so useful.

May have went a little overboard lately with metal fab tools. Fein dry cut metal saw.

No such thing!!!

The belt files are indispensable... I’ve had multiple B&D 1/2”x18” over the years... never really been without one... just bought the Ingersol Rand cordless 3/8”x13” and it fits in perfectly to the “tool kit”! Those things are so useful once you have one!

The m12 is a great line & no reason not to have multiple platforms, it's nice to get the best of each.

I have a large collection of dewalt 20v and 12v tools and I didn't want multiple battery platforms yet my M12 collection is growing. There a simply tools that dewalt just doesn't offer.

As true will all tools the best tool for the job isn't always the same brand that you already have.

Agree on the band files. I have a nice 3M pneumatic. It is all sorts of handy!

I have the Astro Pneumatic 1/2x18" air powered. I found I avoided using it because of the need to get the hose out. (i have pretty much M12'ved my life, eliminating the air stuff)

I checked my Astro Pneumatic is OK to use the eBay adapter to convert my M12 cutoff tool. So I bought the eBay adapter too...

My only issue now... I use that M12 cutoff often... again... instead of using my air cut off... or corded angle grinder...

What to do next... what to do... MORE TOOLS !!!!

A secondary issue ... I need finer belts... All the ones i have now are aggressive.

Finally got a real impact. Makita xwt17, the "mid" size thats still rated almost 750 ft-lbs. Seeing the size and destructive abilities of the big boy i think I'll be very badly with this choice. The adapter was a toss in the cart to hit the limit for 10% off from acme's new years sale and was essentially a freebie

This will be going back, useless ****. States red light is charging, blue light is charged. There isn't a red light or a blue one, only a green one which the manual doesn't mention.
Only works when connected to via USB cord to a charging source. Disconnecting the USB cord turns it off, won't turn on with cord disconnected.

A borescope, actually bought it yesterday & it won't be here until Thursday so no pics.

Scored some Cripe Distributing deals with a $100 eBay gift card including some HSS USA made taps, a couple Armstrong snap ring pliers, some 1/2 drive wobble extensions, a 20” 1/2 drive extension bar, some drive adapters, and a tap handle

Friend gifted me a new set of Wiha screwdrivers for helping him work on his vette last year.
First set I've had that's been more than craftsman or some harbor freight ones.

I actually bought one after I saw you link to it. The red light is a tiny pin-tip sized light just to the right of where you plug in the cable to charge it. It took me a minute to find it but it's there. Mine seems to work fine. Picture is clear and it seems easy to use. I haven't actually used it for anything yet, but I played around with it a bit when I got it.

I got the 16' version...thought about the 32' one but figured the odds of me needing one that long are extremely slim so it's not worth the extra bulk/$ for the super off-chance I'd need it.

Yeah I thought it was weird when I saw it too. At least the tools are what I needed. But yeah, I could totally see someone getting a little pissed after buying these based on the description and not looking too closely.

Also, my Evolution S355CPSL showed up today. Can’t wait to use it.

Nice! I have one and it's great, but it sure goes through batteries like no other M18 tool I've ever used. Make sure to keep a bunch of 8/9/12's charged if you have a big yard.

Couple items in today's postal.

#3 drill drift which I probably didn't really need for my drill press, but hey, this is GJ! I will also find the original drift Sunday.

Put a fully charged 5.0 and it lasted about 5 minutes, if that.

I love this tool but yeah, battery life is definitely an issue. Its pretty much relegated to blowing sawdust and leaves out of my garage now (works perfect for this small application)

I have about 1/3 of an acre in the city and a hundred year old oak tree in the back plus the neighbour's hundred year old maple tree partially hanging over my backyard and filled up ~100 brown bags this fall. Let's just say I had multiple chargers going and multiple 6.0/8.0/9.0 batteries being rotated so that I always had a fully charged battery to use when collecting and bagging leaves :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

At least it blows hard, I'll give it that! I will say that it can get kinda tiring to hang onto after a while, especially with the bigger batteries, so I usually rotate hands every so often. Also, using the trigger lock is really helpful in combatting fatigue! Don't forget that it's there!

Enjoy! I have found this kit super useful to have around the house for most minor things that don't require an assortment of tools!

That's where the green light is showing on mine, between the USB port & the SD card slot. Heard back from the company & they are as confused about the green light as I am.
And no, I'm not color blind, I can see red & blue lights on other devices :)
Picture is fine when connected to the usb port on my desktop, but that doesn't allow me to walk out to the pool & check out the blocked overflow line.

Just got notified a replacement has shipped & will be here tomorrow. Then got another email that I'll be charged for the replacement unless I return the broken one before they actually sent the ******** email.

X1,

Are the numbers embossed in the handle or laser etched?

I have the same wrench from 2003 and the numbers are laser etched. They're very hard to read now that I'm getting a little older and my near vision is starting to go off.

"Guy had it for a short time and realized he needed a tech angle. "

That's exactly what I'm thinking.

Sounds like a dud. Hopefully the replacement one works out for you, because it seems like a pretty darn good bang for the buck compared to a lot of other options out there, especially the brand name ones.

Will probably be a few weeks before I really get a chance to test mine but I have some drain lines I need to scope so we'll see how it holds up!

Me too.

Will blow the bark off the trees ... almost.

Has a nice adjustable throttle
At an idle it will blow the dog hair out of the garage quite nicely.

If you are honestly filling up 100 brown bags in one season, you need to step up your game. I am surrounded by trees, have a big Stihl backpack blower, Simplicity Rider with a blower and wide body bagging cart, and a 5x8 trailer with 3ft sides to haul to the brush disposal sight, and I make at least 2 trips just for leaves every year. And that is what I would consider the bare minimum for that application.

If I were you (and I'm not so it really doesn't matter! haha) I would buy a Honda push mower, grind all the leaves up, then go back through with the bagger and THEN dump into brown bags. That is what I did at our last house that had a smaller yard. I also built a stand for the brown bags so I didn't have to fight with holding them up while filling, and had a push stick to pack everything down TIGHT!

Yeah, it might not be exactly 100 but it wasn't far off (I had 50 out at the curb on one pickup day alone) and I pack them in pretty good and as much as I can and still be able to close them. I don't have storage room for a riding mower and it honestly doesn't take me all that long to cut the grass with my push (self-propelled, technically) mower as aside from the tree it's all pretty straight and easy cutting with no obstacles. I could mulch the leaves up with the mower but what do you suggest for a bagger with no ride-on/tractor at my disposal? The factory mower bag gets filled up incredibly quickly, though I suppose one might argue that it's still the quicker option.

A backpack blower would be nice but aside from late fall I have extremely little use for a blower, especially now that I've gotten a lot of the outdoor work done around the house for a long time (aka no big messes to blow away).

Also, I use this to hold the brown bags open:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leaf-Easy-Plastic-Leaf-and-Lawn-Chute-LELLCP/202491987

Works quite well and is pretty easy to handle and use. I have 2 of them going at once normally.

^ I would suggest the Honda w/ the bagger. Their mulching is great, and should save a ton of time and a fair amount of bags. The versa mulch system lets you partially close the door to the bagger, which keeps the leaves suspended longer so they can be mulched up more betterererer.

Just looked up the Honda's with the Versamow...all I can say is OUCH! at the price tag. My mower is not even 2 years old so there's no way my wife is gonna even consider letting me buy a different one. I may have to get creative...though I don't mind blowing and bagging by hand. Kinda relaxing (I really like cleaning). I'll keep an eye out for a good deal on a used one.
