Icon pick set. It’s a new release apparently and the lady said they had been selling since their release I got the last one on the shelf. It was $11.99 out the door with my Inside Track Club discount. And the Craftsman universal joints were $12.99 I just needed the 1/4 but a single was $9.99. They had the Kobalt 3 pack too but they were $24.99 so I just got the Craftsman ones.

Yes so far it’s good. Feels much better quality than the orange handle Pittsburgh ones that I broke all of. They are selling well so maybe worth investing in.

IMG_4432.jpgSo the Porter Cable Orbital Sander is garbage. It actually heats up and the variable speed doesn’t work. I finished what I was doing I’ll be it slower than what I expected, but I did complete it. Since during moderate use it was a failure, tomorrow it goes back.
The Chinese stamps from Amazon are a win. Inexpensive yet they actually work.

Junk! Variable speed switch stopped working when the unit heated up. Would only stay on high speed. Back in box and returned it.

Thanks for sharing your experience, which one is next? I think you said the Portal Cable was also of poor quality.

Needed some pliers for work in the home garage. HF is having a 30% off under $10 sale and these had good reviews online. $28 for all 5 and they felt great while I was messing with them at the store.

I actually wrote Porter Cable in error. Getting old *****.
Honestly I’m thinking going Milwaukee. Only reason I didn’t, is they were out of stock.

I was gonna say... I have 3... Dewalt, Milwaukee, Porter Cable... the only one that is wonky... is the Dewalt. Plus it has a stupid vacuum attachment. The Porter Cable is the nice one. The Milwaukee is so old and worn out... it's like a 73 yr old street walker getting ready for retirement.

Mini pocket pry bars & the 4140 skin wedge showed up today. Man this skin wedge is strong, would've came in very handy when I used to work at a shop. Happy to have one now. And showing the Mueller-Kueps again that I got yesterday just cause I love it so much!

Just some cheap no name brand, PQY. These are the ones I bought. I used IPA to remove the branding off the handles. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GZ549BR/

I only bought that brand cause they were 3 for $12. Other listings were 2 for $10. They got 10 packs too.

EDIT: Funny, I just noticed the listing says made of aluminum & plastic. Haha. They're in fact steel & not flimsy.

Well I didn't expect to be buying anything but I got a bed of wood home yesterday and my Stihl wouldn't start. So I got my Husky out, out of gas and I find I have no premix and I'm out of 2 stroke oil. So I go to look for wedges to drive in with the maul and every single one of my wedges has vanished. :wtf:
So today I took a trip into town for some premix and a wedge and decided to finally grab one of the Fiskars. I gotta say, that X27 is one NICE ax to swing. Splits just as good as the maul and a couple pounds lighter.

The Mueller-Kueps trim tools are nice but, I would check out offerings from VIM and Cal-van for better pricing.

Thanks, I think I'm good on trim/clip tools for now but I'll keep that in mind. I did see some VIM ones but none of the ones I saw caught my eye. The Mueller-Kueps clip tools are beautiful IMO. I like tools to be good looking too when possible. :bounce:

These keep getting mentioned on here so purchased one. Looks nothing special in photos, but feels surprising solid, and is nicely finished with smoothed off edges on the handle.

Skin wedge.

I am trying out a set of wobbly sockets. I’ve seen a lot of folks using them in videos, so I decided I’d try some.

Also got a thread chasing set, from Lang

I’m excited to get out to the farm, to try them out.

Long time coming. The set is bigger than the one I wanted but came with free mini screwdrivers. I have one in the set already I'll prob give the new duplicate to my daughter. f744490d558d809d27cb55294b81fe8a.jpg

I have a strange obsession for pocket scales/rules. My latest ones, because carbon fiber!

I saw it posted on here for $25, I checked the website and my store had a bunch in stock. They had about an inch of dust on each one lol.

I guess I need to go look for myself at the store then.

I’ve been wanting a serpentine kit for a while. I always manage to injure myself when changing them, and my truck is due for a new belt now.
