Congrats on the box! I know it's too late for you, but for anyone else needing to bring a box like this home, you can rent these trucks from Home Depot for $29, and they have a ramp:

load-n-go-hd-moving-truck.jpg

HF loads the box into the truck, you de-palletize the box in the truck, and roll it into your garage/shop.

Thanks, I was wondering about those, I'll try the HD truck next time (maybe if I get the top box ). After mileage I ended u like $60 in on the "$19.95" truck from U-Haul

I was worried that depalletizing it in the truck would be more trouble than it's worth, so that's why I didn't get the box truck from U-Haul. Laying it down on the side as it slid off the truck worked really well for me, only because I had enough people there to control the fall. Otherwise, I probably would have tried the other way so I could roll it out

True, the Motive is nice. I added a few features:
Two valves to control the flow of air and brake fluid. Once you use it, you'll realize the importance.
Ability to use compressed air or hand pump. Regulated air pressure which is VERY important.

Mine cost about the same I guess. $14 for the sprayer, $10 for the tubing and fittings, $14 gas regulator, $45 brake cylinder adapter, which was expensive because you don't want a brake fluid leak. Some parts I had laying around.

Plus the satisfaction of doing it your self!

Thanks! I put a compound miter saw back there one time, halfway strapped the trunk closed and went down the interstate :rocker:

Got it for $99 instead of $599 too

Good color choice! I picked up a top & bottom 2 months ago, love em! The work nice, a lot of room & look good too! Good luck.

I assume you know from experience the ramp is wide enough to roll the box down?

I'm actually planning to pick up one of these boxes and will need to rent a truck. But I was concerned about deadlifting it off the truck or tipping it off the back like the other guy did. I'd like to avoid making a trip to the hospital or smashing the box.

What is the mod? The full Toyota name on the grille?

That particular custom grill was purchased through Ebay several years ago.

As for the specific name for it or the seller, etc. I can't remember or don't have any idea since it was so long ago.

When I decided to swap out the original manufacturer's grill with a customized one, I didn't really want to spend a whole lot of $$$$ on it (because there were/are independent sellers with whopping prices $$$$ for customized grills along with a long wait time to receive them, etc.).

So my search lead me to Ebay where the grill (was available specifically for Toyota Tacoma's, for my year) was purchased for a fair price and well I just decided to take a chance on buying one and as you can see it all worked out just fine (for me at least).

It was an easy transition to remove the original grill and install the new customized one.

Though I must point out the fact that the new grill came in completely in primer black.

I then sanded the entire grill down a bit, sprayed a couple of coats of primer on it again, then spray'd a few coats of paint to match the rest of the Tacoma's original color (Desert Sand) with spray paint purchased from AutoZone, O'Reilly's, Advance Auto Parts. etc.

As for the detailed TOYOTA letters in the front, again I purchased those letters from an Ebay seller that were off of an old Toyota Landcruiser. Once I received them I sanded the internal lettering down, primer'ed and then painted them to match the trucks original color (again Desert Sand).

All Metric, no SAE, just an easy box for living in the truck.

120t ratchet, ratcheting combo wrenches, and deep/shallow sockets with extensions and a wobble.

Not bad for $40. This is an incredible kit for the money.

I dont have any gearwrench to compare, but these genuinely feel nice. Good length to them.

They are made by the same parent company as GW though, Apex.

Went to pick up a screwdriver that I had fixed that was backordered, and ended up buying a new box and 3 ratchets.

My Fein Slugger JMU 137-2QW Mag Drill arrived!

(Those holes were not made by this drill; I've only made some practice cuts so far).

Based on the rave reviews here, I decided to outfit my 1/4 HP pre-block grinder ($20 yard sale find) with a couple of new goodies and put it back into service.

I'd already gotten the radial bristle wheel last week and had it on shelf duty waiting for the other wheel to arrive. Bristle wheel looks pretty sick:

New arrival, ready to go in:

All done:

Gave it a few test runs, impressed with the results:

Good stuff.

i needed to get some keys cut for my '37 Buick and an Edsel im working on, so i figured i might as well buy the tool to do it. ebay find, Curtis #15 Key Clipper with a couple cams and carriages. It came with the cam i need for GM vehicles for 1935 through 1966, but i still need the accompanying cutter for it. Also bought a bunch of key blanks since i'll probably futz a few up figuring it out

Picked up this nice screwdriver set from a member here selling brand new napa tools. $41 shipped to my door! I have been wanting this set for a while due to the shank with bolstering on it so you can tighten screws with a wrench! Also, I have some of Carlyle's ratchets in this color so naturally I needed matching screw drivers of course!

let me know if you need any help! I have one here at home, but at work we use electric-operated code machines.

In the last oil change I lost my pickup, so I needed a new one. I also picked up some magnetic trays (you can never have too many)
