Garden tools count?
Been wanting to replace a few for an upcoming project. US made garden tools aren’t impossible to find but they’re also not plentiful. In the search I came across Bully Tools in Ohio. 100% made in the USA. Reasonable prices and the quality looks great (14 ga steel with reinforcement). Used them a bit and am happy so far.

Quality is indeed great and they have served me well. Beware their warranty though, they do not honor it and they were assholes (especially the CEO) when I complained about it. I still like the products I have, and I enjoying using them, but I won't buy anymore.

SK said I could mail them in, wait 2 to 3 weeks after receipt for them to process and then maybe mail back something better, so minimum 1-month timeline. Postage on my dime of course. Fortunately Amazon is taking them back and sending a free replacement by this weekend, but I won't be surprised if it's not any better. I'd love to be wrong, but the odds are not in their favor .

Help me here folks. Can anyone stateside produce 1/4" extensions that aren't either broken, bent or poorly chromed out of the box?

I think I have every 1/4 and 3/8 chrome extension SK makes: standard, wobble, locking; all are beautiful. That doesn't help you, I know.... I have had to exchange items with them before but it's been a few years; at that time I emailed and they emailed me a pre-paid UPS return label. Issues sneak by in mass production, I can excuse that, but SK should pay the return shipping. But since you got it at Amazon....

I also have newer extensions by Williams USA and Tekton from Taiwan, both flawless, but Williams isn't knurled and the chrome isn't as ****, and Tekton is Taiwan. No way I'm paying Snap on prices for extensions.

Look at Wright or Proto if you want USA made. If you want affordable Taiwan tools look at Capri. So far I love everything I’ve gotten from them at cheaper than Harbor Freight on most things. Never had an issue with chrome at all.

I have a set of 3/8 drive SK extensions, bought them a few months ago. I'm very happy with the finish of the chrome. I also have a Wright 1/2 drive breaker bar, finish on that is outstanding as well. If I think of it tomorrow, I'll post up a picture. All of my newer sockets and wrenches are SK and Wright. So far so good with them. My son got me a 3/8 drive locking flex head Mac ratchet, and it is sweet.

you want some great extensions, look no further than Ko-Ken.

I don't think you'll find a better made extension anywhere but, that's just my opinion. The knurled ridges around the female square drive are just outstanding!!! 🍻

No way I'm paying Snap on prices for extensions.

Thanks for the heads up! That's dissapointing to hear, hopefully I don't need to test out the warranty.

I got tired of my import made Mastercraft Maximum ratchets falling apart. This time I wanted to buy domestic made ratchets, so Williams USA made ones fit the bill for me. I picked up 1/2" long and standard, 3/8" long and standard, and 1/4" standard length.

Nice. My only complaint with them was the tooth count. But I still might buy them again one of these days.

Yes, Snap On. I know people don't want to pay the asking price, but fit and finish is second to none for everything Snap On that I own. Their chrome is perfect. Can't say the same for other companies/manufactures. Leave it at that.

@ kelpaso1; I agree. I'm not a MAC guy, so I don't know if those are legit, recently made or old stock, but they indeed look terrible. I would of been very disappointed and promptly return them. With Ohio being stamped into the wrench, I'm assuming they are a USA made version, but they look more like something made in India that costs $5 on Amazon. If you covered up the brand name, I would never guess those are MAC.

Actually, they look like Wright made wrenches. The Wright’s I have look like that. Mine are early 60’s. I think they are a good quality find if he was able to buy them right. Cool that you got a whole set.

I've bought way more between this and last post, but I do more engine work now. That vim set would have saved me a half hour for the 8mm putting in the rear coolant plug I forgot on a 2k LS1 shoehorned in trans am with aftermarket exhaust. Pressure test before you add coolant. After putting on new heads lifters, cam, oil pump, blah blah. I was happy to see it go. 209 to 230something camshaft. Kids with too much money whatever, we'll take your $, and do it right.

Love these scissors, they've been holding up great for shop/garage use. Decided to finally buy me another pair along with their offset serrated version. HD online had a combo deal & free shipping.

Mom wants me to build her a jewelry box, so I ordered up a new miter gauge and a mini miter box from rockler. Haven’t used it yet, but the gauge is dead on accurate and it has set screws to keep it tight in the miter slot. Next time I have the table saw out, I’ll make a fence for it.

Paint came out pretty nice for a 17 year old truck that’s never been in a garage.

Looks great, nice job! I've been daily driving a 2001 double cab for 17 years now. I love my truck, 256K mi, & still running strong with no problems. I plan on never selling it, people still ask me if I want to sell it all the time.

Also got this Griots polisher a few days ago. It’s the only one I’ve ever used, but it worked great. I compounded my truck for the first time ever and waxed it yesterday. I’ve kind of made up for some lost time in the past month or so. Might take a few posts.
First, I have been wanting some flex head ratchets. Pulled the trigger on a Tekton set that came with a 3/8 stubby. Also got a 1/4” Snap On off the auction site.

A few yard sale finds. A couple DOE metric Craftsman wrenches, a gutted Snap On test light, an 18mm 1/2” drive craftsman socket that filled a hole, and an inch lb. Snap On torque wrench.
The new Snap On screwdrivers are replacements from damaged Snap On ones that were obsolete. Yay me.

Finally tonight I have these sets of Craftsman ratcheting/open end wrenches. I had some damaged Craftsman tools that they don’t make or warranty anymore and after a long time searching, and hours on the phone they extended me a credit on their website. Using that credit and a little out of pocket I snagged these on “sale”.
The missing SAE ones are in the garage in service.

Travelled to go to Sears today. Went to Greensboro North Carolina. My parents bought me these. It’s part of my gift for graduating college with a 4.0 GPA and making the presidents honor roll. They have been buying me all kinds of things. They also took me to the Apple store too which was great. This is a 30mm wrench, Phillips 3&4 bit sockets and a 1/4x8 flathead screwdriver.

I have some old school screwdrivers made by Beta Italy that have the exact same details. I’d venture those are made by Beta tools.

Well Harbor Freight continues to live up to my expectation. Went by to buy a inexpensive welding cart to temporarily mount a hose reel and pressure washing pump so I can use it until I get my garage out back together. The first box I took home was missing a rather critical item(s)... The wheels. So I went back and exchanged the cart this morning. After a hour or so with a hole saw and drill bit I was left with this contraption. Depending on how I enjoy using the set up in cart form with dictate if I wall mount or find a better cart to use for an improved set up based on experience.
