Honestly I'm done buying anything off of Snappy that's not branded SO or Blue Point, the mark up is way too high.Snap-on truck had lithium jump boxes on sale. I've been thinking of getting one for a long time, just to keep in my car
Got a 1/4 hex bit to 1/4 square drive adaptor to keep in my snappy ratcheting driver that I keep at home
Bought a cheap push-pin tool set on amazon after I had lost my pair of spring loaded pliers (on top). Bought red so they'd be harder to lose. Then I realized I had put them in the wrong drawerSo now I guess I have extras

Hit up a couple pawn shops. Missing one of the wrenches, not sure which size yet.
Klein needle nose, Wera 3/8 and 1/2, Snap-on extension, Wilde punch, Performance Tool ratchet adapter for breaker bar, carbide scraper, PEC USA feeler gauges, Mayhew hollow punch set. The 1/8" punch has a split on the end of the tip.
Can anyone spot the problem with this set?

Purchased this magnetic tray today at Harbor Freight. Figured I’d get a colored one so I can tell it’s mine as nobody has one of those yet haha. Almost everyone in the shop has a Pittsburgh one though so someone could of picked it up if that was the case so I go this one. Wish they made them in orange but they don’t so I figured black would go good with orange. Most likely buying a cart tomorrow and if they have orange I’ll probably get orange so it will go good with that too.

That *****. I have that same ratcheting tap handle. I think I got it from HF like 20 yrs ago, just sits in a drawer, except I've got the handle for it.
Can you buy just the driver separately?

I didn't even notice until I got home, but it was 25 bucks. I've gotta look for a handle and a new 1/8".That *****. I have that same ratcheting tap handle. I think I got it from HF like 20 yrs ago, just sits in a drawer, except I've got the handle for it.

I may have struck out on the punches. I think the handle for this set is about $50.

My sons and I made the trek to the "hammer store" yesterday to pick up some paint rollers and my new toy:
Since I will be doing a lot of the body work on my Land Cruiser and I have a few metal work projects that I want to do, I figured it was finally time for me to get a welder. Based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews of the Harbor Freight Titanium series, I landed on their MIG 170 welder, which strikes a nice balance of size, power, and price. Reviews state it can handle, albeit barely, up to 1/2" plate. I don't see myself needing that much capacity, but I can definitely use the ability to weld up to 1/4" material and sheet metal. Can't wait to get it going, it feels like a really nice piece of equipment for the price.

Received my Astro 1894 today. Can't wait to use it on something. I didn't really need it as my other Taiwanese impact hasn't been defeated yet, but as I have watched SMA videos from day one there really wasn't any other way. But will be nice to compare to my other one and see what the power level/difference is.

Two new acquisitions for me. First is a set of used Vaco SAE nut drivers, $15. It’s missing the 7/16 driver so I’ll have to hunt one down, but otherwise they’re in great shape. Happy with that deal.
Second is a set of Canadian tire “Maximum” extra long ratcheting flex head wrenches. I believe these are made by Gearwrench. I know for sure they were in the past as all the Maximum ratcheting wrenches had Gearwrench branding on one side, though Maximum has done away with co-branding across the board recently. Come to think of it, all of the Maximum ratchets and ratcheting wrench products look identical to Gearwrench products.
They were on a Black Friday sale for $130, with a lifetime exchange warranty. Hard to go wrong with that!
Good deal on the Vaco nut driver set.
I basically have that same nut driver set from Vaco but in the extended/long version.
The following picture below of a nut driver set by Urrea is somewhat similar to the Vaco set.

I ordered a new pistol grip extended reach blow gun from Prevost. It showed up while the wife and I were on vacation last week so I got to try it out last night after installing the air fitting.
I would prefer they offered them in red but I really like the fit and feel of this blow gun. It screams quality as soon as I grabbed it out of the package. I think I'll need to get the standard one now as well. Most of my air drops around the shop have the Matco pistol style blow guns as up until now they've been my favorite. Although I do have a newer Snap-on one that is very nice as well but none seem to be as nice as this Prevost.

Going to try this out for batteries.
Also added this bench as it folds up against the wall so I can still pull the cars into this shed-sized garage. It's uncomfortable working at the toolbox because it's about chest height due to the raised floor.

I drove all the way over to the post office and all I got was this lousy feeler gauge!
However, when I opened it up and saw that .006 blade I could not stop laughing.
I would love to have been a fly on the wall in that shop when that guy was trying to get the clearance set on that exhaust valve.
I'll bet he invented some new words I never even heard of yet.
(sorry the photo just doesn't show the damage clearly enough... it looks like somebody took a ball peen to it.)

Yes it's the wifi version. I'll get it set up and test it out within the next couple days.
If it's half of what VCDS is for VAG cars I'll be really happy with it.
Shhhhh, Santa went shopping last night.
Also on it's way is a SWAG bandsaw table. . . . not from Santa though.

Really liking these Koken wheel sockets. Good length to keep the gun away from the wheel, shallow depth to allow me to feed sockets in to just gun them on. Not sure how long the plastic guards on the ends will last, but IIRC koken sells them for like 3 bucks. So even if I had to replace a full set twice a year, that's 24 bucks to do 17/19/21 twice. Thinking ill get the 22mm as well next time I do an order from a koken vender. It's a tad pricey as a single, like $35, so I'd like to avoid paying shipping for a single item.
Btw: astro gun is awesome.
Meant to quote this a while back, but just getting around to it now. I've been using a set of these sockets for about six months now and don't see the sleeves ever being an issue. I was worried at first, but after some use got over it. The fit and finish of the sockets is super impressive too, never thought I could be impressed by a socket, but the fit of the square drive and hex are crazy good. They make it feel like my impact is working half as hard when compared to the truck brand wheel sockets.
My 19mm sees heavy use and is showing minimal wear.
I should note that I also place my impact like this between taking wheels off and the sleeves remain undamaged.
A new torque wrench came my way after a bit of a fiasco with my SO dealer.

Already set a bunch of presets on it and enabled the torque then angle function since Porsche loves stretch bolts. Can't wait to put it to work.

I could see that being useful on some plumbing fixtures. I have some decorative p traps, drain plugs and stuff that have huge slotted threaded covers on them. Even my largest flat head is too small and marks them up.

Picked up my new cart today. Will post more pictures of it as soon as I get it setup I was just excited to post now. The thing is heavy too. They were training someone to operate the fork lift too she almost hit the truck but she done good. She had people helping guide her. Thanks mom and dad for going to pick it up too since they were fortunate enough to be off today and nice enough to pick it up for me I provided the truck and gas. I thought I was going to get stuck with black cause they couldn’t find the orange one in the back but they finally did. For the sale price I’m happy.
Usually for battery covers where you would use a quarter to remove but there are other things too. Some of the screw on ones can get really stuck & a quarter might not give you enough leverage to loosen. Sure you could just use a quarter to get by but where's the fun in that for tool addicts.
I don't have the PB Swiss one, I have a 1/4" hex bit one so I can use it with any handle/driver. Even though I have one I still have never used it as said though.
(The other one pictured is what they call a faucet driver. They seem to be popular in the Japanese market only, well at least I never heard of them commonly being used here in the US).

I wanted an extra swivel head ratchet to keep in my truck, so I stopped at Harbor Freight on the way home and picked up a 3/8” for $12 - that old “$5 off any Pittsburgh Pro ratchet” coupon still works! The handle it comes with is horrendous. It feels like it belongs on a 1/4” ratchet. Then I remembered that I had a never-used Pittsburgh Pro quick-release fixed head ratchet in my garage, so I swapped the handle from that one onto the swivel head. MUCH better.
