Literally just bought a tool because I had a smaller version of that tool, and wanted to have a backup set... I have a serious problem.

I did not need this by any means, own several Knipex cobras, multiple pairs of channel locks, and had a lone 6" pair of these ViceGrips, so figured I would add the 10" to the family.
You probably do have a problem but tbh a tool by itself is just asking for a friend so don't worry about it!

NOS Haupa and Felo (now discontinued, I think, Felo that is) 1/4 ratchets. Both 36 teeth. Paid £9 delivered for Felo and £17 delivered for Haupa. Haupa (Germany) is definitely made in Taiwan; identical to Honiton (Taiwan). Felo probably also made in Taiwan. Quality of the Felo is very good with the Haupa not far behind. I almost always buy made in Germany stuff but was willing to make an exception here because they are both quite hard to find especially at these prices. I think the Haupa would be the most difficult to source individually as it comes in a module of tools. image.jpeg

Just placed another order for some new stuff, this is all thats shown up so far... Ill be back when the remainder of the order shows up, lol. New Klein crimpers and cable cutter, the old Kleins and the Matco (rebranded Klein?) will get demoted to the backup box.

Also, out of curiosity, I recently picked up a set of the Doyles from HF, to put in my smaller bag. The finish on the Kleins is slightly nicer, but otherwise they feel identical in hand. I probably wont ever need another pair, unless I lose a couple, but for my money, I think I would just go Doyle next time, at around 40% cheaper.

Also, anyone know if you can get replacement grips like this, that would heat shrink in place or something? The Matco grips are tearing, would love to just put new grips on it. Plastidip? Does that hold up?

Gedore Needle Nose and Diagonal Cutters. These are nicer than I expected and will probably be buying more. Beautiful machining, tight joints, zero slop and the tips / cutting edge meet perfectly. Made in Austria.

Although they have red handles, these are part of the main "blue" line of Gedore tools and not part of the budget "Red" brand of tools.

Fresh off the truck, still has the plastic banding around the case. $700 OTD
Very nice. I have an older snap on and the end is getting mushroomed. I should see if he will warranty it. I also need more cups.

My ratchet came. It makes me mad that they just slapped the labels on the outside of the box instead of putting it in a different box and putting a label on that box. Now my OCD has gone crazy lol. Can’t stand the fact the box is ruined.
Why would you care about the box? What would you save it for? I think every Milwaukee tool I’ve bought had stickers on the box at Home Depot.

Needed a t-45 torx bit, Could've went to Canadian Tire and paid 9 bucks for a single bit Then found this cheapo set on Amazon for 20 bucks CAN. Made by Lexivon supposedly in Taiwan. Comes with a nice case with actual hinges and a sliding latch. Engravings on the sockets are nice and crisp...they look pretty good. Registered online for warranty with no issue. Figured for the occasional use and only 20 bucks I cant go wrong.

stopped by snapon truck today, wondering about long 1/2" drive non flex ratchets.. never thought of a hard handle unit..ended up buying this guy on ebay for 143 shipped..the new one on the truck was 220..i can wait a few days.
I HATE soft handle stuff, get way too greasy to keep em clean. This is 16" total length. The 24" is just too long, at that point Ill use a breaker bar.
I know this is going to be one of my most go to ratchets now.I love the snapon hard handle grips. Very ergonomic and should be able to get some good torque on there.

I care cause I’m bad about keeping them 🤣. I find a use for it somehow.

I just got the same ratchet in Chrome (SL80A). I had been wanting a longer 1/2" than the HF cheapo I had and when I walked on the truck the other week and lo and behold he had a used on on the shelf for 50% off retail, yes please!

I have three of those and they are awesome. The cheapest place I've found to buy them is at Zoro, especially with a discount/coupon. Even without a discount, the zoro price is pretty competitive; or was when I've purchased. Add in 10-20% off, and it's way below anyone else when I've purchased.

Having been out of the tool buying arena for a number of years, I always considered Harbor Freight to just sell cheap, disposable stuff. Now I actually bought my first item from them.

I feel a little dirty and ashamed but with the right therapy I hope to get past this dark time in my life.;)

Haha, nothing wrong with that jack… I’ve had it going on 5 years and it’s one of, if not the best thing I’ve ever bought from Harbor Freight.

Another new tool arrival, a tool bag actually. Replaced a CLC backpack with the Veto Tech XXL. Also, recently picked up the Veto MC used (marine version) to use for quick trips, throwing in the non-work van, etc. Filled that one with mostly HF stuff and not quite as big of an assortment of tools, but most of what I would need to get the job done.

I hated that CLC bag, so I am glad to see it go. So far this Veto seems like it’ll be great!

Stanley socket warranty to replace a US made Blackhawk socket that was cracked and a completely different size, and a warranty Snap on socket that replaced a cracked one that was probably from the’30’s.

Snap-on, Zoro, and eBay tool hauls from the last few weeks. The Snap-on claw hammer is a total fanboy purchase, but they finally released a US-made version and I had to have it 😂😂

I decided to mail my broken ratchet in Instead of bringing it to the repair center across the street from my old work. I would always get the tool more messed up that when I came in. I’m glad I mailed it because they sent me a new ratchet.
