Wera pouch for my most used Wera bit handles. Looks like they changed the design from what my other Wera bit driver came with. I like the look of this one better but don't care for the velcro on the back.

2 triangular extruded alumnium rulers/scales. Didn't need them but I'm a sucker for all things that measure & all things that cut. Thought the triangle shape was kinda cool.

Speaking of things that cut. Picked up a couple of more Olfas. This time with ratchet auto locks or whatever they're called. All my other Olfas have wheel knob locks.

Came across an online vendor that just sells razor blades that's local to me. Had to order online but was able to order for will call to save on shipping. Picked up 200 razor blades. Just regular carbon steel blades but I love these dispensers. Just push the button & a new blade pops up. I have 2 other of the same dispensers filled with stainless steel blades. Also got some more plastic "razor blades" in medium hardness. I have the softer hardness already. My plan is to stick these plastic blades in the dispensers but not sure yet if they'll fit due to the thickness. If they don't that's ok, they were only $10 ea including the blades anyway & still well worth it. And 5 blade scraper holders. Didn't need them, I already have a couple but they were only 87 cents ea. Made in USA & look identical to my Stanley ones minus the Stanley stamp.

Cheap poilshing pad kit from Amazon for small things & touch ups. The 2 velcro holders it came with had 8mm shanks for use with a drill, turned them down to 1/4" to fit the M12 RA die grinder. Not sure if it'll work well with the RA but that's the plan & I hope so. Also bought a case from the art store to hold it all.

Bought some just like that a while back... velcro was attached with water soluble adhesive & fell off when they were rinsed out.

Yup I read the same complaints in reviews for a bunch of other ones. This one had the least complaints vs price. I'm expecting to use contact cement or spray adhesive to glue em back of if/when it happens to me. For the price I ain't worried about it.

My new baby from Tekton finally showed up yesterday. A ORG75200 60W X 24L X 42.5H.

Some of the things I really love about it:
- It came well packaged in a wooden crate. No damage at all even to the container so good job on the shipping co!
- The full length drawers are actually really awesome. I was able to fit everything from my old Craftsman box in here and still have two empty drawers.
- The latching mechanism on the handle is extremely crisp. You can lift anywhere on the handle and it will unlatch it every time
- The German casters are extremely smooth. The box by itself weighs 645lbs, and I probably have 300lbs of tools in it, but the casters do a great job of making it easy to roll around the hangar.
- The full extension drawers are amazing. I cannot believe I put up with non-full extension for so long.
- The perforations in the drawers allow you to add drawer partitions and dividers that you can buy on tektons website. Works amazing for organization.
- The 400 lb (181 kg) drawer weight is awesome. I dont think I will ever surpass the weight capacity.
- The gauge of the frame is super thick. Id say about 1/8" (3mm) in thickness. They say the walls of the box are 20 gauge, but they look more like 18 gauge to me.

Some things I am a little disappointed about:
- I was surprised the casters dont have grease zerks on them. It looks like they use a sealed ball bearing of some kind, but still wished there was a way I could grease the axle and pivot caster bearings.
- The one drawer at a time locking mechanism is really annoying and I may try to disable it.
- I really wish they would have gotten rid of the 2" tall drawers and made all the middle drawers 3". They are still useful, its just a little annoying.

All in all for around $3k, its an awesome box and I am super happy with it.

Hoping this will solve a kinda-odd problem I have with my wife's car:

And decided to grab this while I was there - not super-happy with the inflators I have now.

I was just looking at that inflator online a couple of days ago. I may pull the plug next time I get a decent coupon - which should be easy this time of year.

Sharp box! They're made by Rousseau (I believe made or assembled in Canada?) and I've spent a good amount of time at their booth at Westec. Rousseau's party trick is modularity - their booth usually has boxes and carts loaded with all different options/configurations you could think of. Might be worth investigating to see if there are any goodies you could get directly through them vs. what Tekton is currently offering.

Yep, made in canada. I checked out Rousseau's website and even got a quote for a box that was more what I wanted, but the shipping alone was $800 through them (free through Tekton) and buying it through tekton during black friday, I got 20% back to spend on tools in their store.

Yes! The box is super modular! Tekton sells Rousseau's partitions and dividers, and I have bough about a dozen of them using a few of my Tekton points. Awesome for organizing those drawers that tend to pile up tools. Ill take a closer look at Rousseaus website and see if they offer any other add-ons that Tekton does not.

EDIT: Wow they do offer a lot of goodies! I might have to invest in those rubber bumpers some day!

They offer stainless and butcher block tops too.

The shipping charge alone stopped my custom Rousseau order in its tracks.

I’ll have to post the scale rulers I use at work for you.

I need those plastic blades. I didn’t know they made different hardeness blades.

Upgraded the garage TV to a “smart” TV that I can cast my PC screen to. Also wall-mounted it and reclaimed benchtop space. Made pulling live data diagnosing a misfire last night almost fun!

more info please, is that built into windows? Do you have to plug anything in to make it happen?

It works through Google Chromecast - as long as you have a TV with Chromecast built in and it's on the same Wi-Fi network as your PC. In Google Chrome, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner, click "Cast," and Chrome will start looking for devices to cast to. You can also choose whether to cast your entire screen or just a particular program. Pretty slick...

Reelcraft DP7650 OLP Hose Reel....

2021-12-08 003.JPG

Nice. You'll like the Reelcraft hose reel. I fought a cheap manual one in my last shop for years. I bought two of these Reelcraft reels when I built my new shop and I'm glad I did. I really like them and they get used quite a bit. I have however, replaced the hoses on mine but the reel itself is great.

Lisle pedal jack

Could've used that a couple years ago bleeding a clutch master.

Editing: I guess this model isn't necessarily for brakes and clutches but they've got one that is. Lisle 21520. Just bought one for $9 from Amazon courtesy of a $25 promotion credit.

Got my Black Friday order in from kc tool. First time I’ve ordered from them. Good service. I think I’ve collected all the wera i can realistically use in the Hvac business. Time to nerd out on another brand
Nice stuff. Does that "bit of thanks" have the KC logo on it?

Curious which bit set that is and how they mount in the sockets?
Bondhus 43645, (5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 9/16", & 5/8") Bondhus 33615, (7/16") & Bondhus 33619 (3/4")

They mount in the sockets with a few plastic protrusions/dots along two sides of the hex that cause enough friction with the socket wall that they stay in place.

Mayhew Dominator 14123 44" long 7/8" square pry bar.

IMG_20211207_105914.jpg

Same with the 54" 14124. I haven't used the 44" yet, but the 54" doesn't bend as much as the Snap-on 54" 3/4" square bar does. The Snap-on is not made of cheese or anything, but the thicker Mayhew bar is definitely stiffer. The 44" bar ought to be more so. I paid $58 for it from Zoro on their Cyber Monday sale.

Mayhew 75125 & 75000 14" pry / line up bars. I happened to see a few Amazon reviews of these bars and decided to try them out also. I got both for $15 and really like them, particularly the 75000 with the bent pry end.

Is that a deuce and a half in those pics?
