You must be the richest or the poorest person on GJ haha

I got a rubber headed 1lb mallet from Walmart today for $3. My old one worked so well that I wanted another to keep somewhere else

The Hyper-Tough pry bars from Walmart are awesome and last I checked USA made. They will match the pricing off the website at the register. The giant 30” I think only cost me $17!!! I found this out by mistake....I had them look up the SKU based on website. Went to check out and there was a big price discrepancy and they told me website pricing is often different from the store and kindly matched it without me asking them to do so.

Decided to check out McFadden-Dale hardware while en route to IKEA today on the other end of Phoenix. Did a quick walk-thru of the place and was pretty impressed, wish it was closer so I could stop by more often.

Couldn't leave empty handed, so I snagged a few little things while I was there:

PXL_20211230_030706710.jpg

I already had the Spill Master with the white lid, but wanted to get the other two colors for separating out fluids. For whatever reason, I was having a hard time finding these elsewhere, so when I saw they had both I didn't hesitate. Picked up the A9 just because I've never used it and figured to try it out.

The VIM magrails have revolutionized my speed when working with 1/4 drive bits.
just ordered a 12” 1/4 with 40 nubs to house the half cut torx and half cut allens beside the xzn 1/4 drives. Makes snatching a bit out a breeze.

added 3/8 snapon semi deeps and mac xtra deeps (2.7”to my craftsman usa shallows.
working on having a complete set.
20mm shallow on the craftsman
Going with 21 instead of 20 in semi and extra deep. Havent encountered a 20mm head on audis or mercedes yet.

this push to unlock mac 1/4 ratchet has been awesome too39B099B1-C607-4E93-BD59-07B38ADCED28.jpeg

I hope you will like the Worktunes. One good thing about them I found is that 3M will send you the replacement hygiene kits for free if you call and ask. All the other brands I have had, I had to first find the correct kit for the model I had and then pay for them. The only reason I found this out was I couldn't find the hygiene kits anywhere and I finally called 3M and asked where I could get them. The lady told me I came to the right place

Holy ****... most expensive week ever! The spring compressor by the transmission jack is really nice too. You have a badass shop. The trans jack looks like it will be awesome to use with your lift.
Haha I was eyeing up that spring compressor too!

New Arrivals: some new; some new to me. My favorite flea market dealer has had me over to his house a couple times since the season has ended. He buys weekly and he’s been letting me pick through. Some from eBay and some from stores. Highly recommend the 3 piece crimson tools silicone trays from Rural King. All 3 sizes for $21. Love Klein and Channellock pliers but each for different products based on how they feel in the hand. Have been upgrading screwdrivers to Klein’s or SK’s. Excited to try the Ideal Stripmaster when wiring our new house. Restore had the brand new Malco siding tool and the screen tool for a buck each. New Channellock diagonal cutters. And a couple of eBay scores with the Channellock 548’s and Klein 1010’s.

Not exactly a tool, but helps me use one. I originally got some of these when my WalMart store was clearing them. I wanted something for my OTC safety glasses that would allow me to read stuff. They work very well; you wet them and the safety glasses, put these lenses on, and then towel off excess water. Occasionally you need to remember to remove the lenses and reapply them because they will fall off if they fully dry out.

Got these from Amazon.20211230_163213.jpg

Very nice. Am jealous that you have a good flea market dealer and live near a Rural King. Can't even get those silicone tool trays shipped over to here to west side of the country.

Funny, for me all I could find was the red lids. Then a few years ago I saw blue & white at my local MSC & picked them up. Didn't know it at the time but Mcmaster carries all 3 colors too.

I don't use the A9 much but I like the color & it smells good. My favorite is AlumTap (the original chlorinated formula) for alumn but the A9 is great when I need a thicker viscosity. It does work pretty well though. I used to use only TapMagic Aluminum but now for some reason the smell makes me sick, weird cause it never used to do that to me before.

Speaking of the SpillMasters, I kind of modded mine. Thought it was funny after I did it & it was one of those "I'm bored & thought I had a great idea" thing. But it actually works pretty good at keeping chips out of the cans. Most people probably wouldn't even care & I never used to care either.

It’s nice when multiple orders come on the same day, i ordered the cart a month ago, the boots and sockets came within a few days. Anyone looking for comfortable work boots with a smooth bottom and soft soles these are it, plus made in usa! Probably the most comfortable boots i ever put on right out of the box and not heavy. Can’t wait to use the sockets but hope i don’t need them.

Needed my mini stubby screwdriver a few days ago to disassemble something. I couldn't find the damn thing anywhere. I could've sworn I had a pair of them, red for phillips & blue for slotted.

Didn't matter, turns out I needed a PH1 & the one I had was PH2 anyway. So I ordered a 6pc set of them from ebay that included the PH1 & a couple of torx. Yeah these things are cheap & have been around for a while but they've saved my *** many times. I got the job done using my Wera bit ratchet but I know these will come in handy for me again someday.

I also ordered an Anex stubby bit driver that also arrived today. I didn't like it, luckily I got this one from Amazon US so I returned it. Couldn't tell from the pic that the handle is hollow (now I see it), felt flimsly. Also didn't realize the bit retention is only a clip, I wanted there to be a magnet. It is made in Japan.

My New Year resolution is to work on my car more. Swung by Napa for a new battery and picked up the Bosch. I hit up the local HF for a composite ratchet and got some 3/8 extensions and an adapter/reducer set.

I know new Craftsman isn’t big here but I absolutely love their V Series combo wrenches. Personally, I prefer the short size, the I-beam, and the plain open end. They work great for my job as a machinist. Also, I have a small toolbox at work (27” wide by 18” deep; it’s the only thing that fits by my machines) so the storage footprint with these sets is minimal. I have the metric already and I now have the SAE.

Should have bought the shield years ago. Used the light for the first time today removing exhaust pipe. I liked it a lot. We'll see how long it last. I paid $35.00 for it. Later found the same thing on Amazon for $13.59. I bought another from Amazon.

I was looking for a few new pairs of Grip-On specialty pliers. After having some disappointment with Amazon resellers, I found Anglo American Tools who is a reseller for Grip-On and several other euro brands. I ordered two pairs on Christmas Eve and they were delivered today. Pretty fast service. I'll be ordering some more stuff from them.

I got a pair of the T style axial clamps (GR91807BK) and a pair of their U locking clamps for pipe welding (GR12612). I really like the release on the Grip-On clamps, but I tend to usually us the Breman ones from HF just for the cost factor.

I have the same boots, size 12. They are very comfortable. I had them for less than a week when one of the speed hooks pulled out though. All I wanted was a new hook but Carolina wouldn't do anything about it. I found some new hooks on EBay and put one in myself. Another one came out a few days later so I took the boots to a cobbler and had all 8 replaced and swore to never buy Carolina again. Thorogood is all I will buy from now on.

8 fresh cartridges for my Gallo Gun arrived today & I used one of those lunch/storage boxes I got at Wally World last week to store the Gallo & supplies in.
I'll need to pick up a couple more packs of the boxes because I've used at least 7 so far.

I too would be done. I have/had 2 pair of their logger boots in my cart. Glad I came back and saw this. I believe your request was pretty easy to fulfill and shipping them back would have been silly. With today's technology, a couple pictures is all that should be needed to get a pick-up slip generated for a return. I'm thinking I would have just taken/sent them back to where I bought them and called it a day.

Their policy:

https://www.carolinashoe.com/Customer_Service

Carolina Shoe Company produces quality footwear that serves many different purposes. We stand behind the products that we produce. At times, despite our best efforts to assure the best quality, a product purchased from a retailer may have a defect in materials and or workmanship as there are many components and processes that go into footwear manufacturing.

If a consumer believes that a manufacturer's defect has caused unusual wear or otherwise affects the use of the footwear, we require the consumer to return the footwear to the retailer where the footwear was originally purchased. The original selling retailer has its own policies and processes in place to satisfy the consumer including an initial inspection for normal wear. In the event that the selling retailer cannot reasonably satisfy the consumer, that consumer may then contact the brand manufacturer. If someone other than the original purchaser contacts or attempts to contact Carolina Shoe Company it will be necessary for us to receive the appropriate written authorization from the original purchaser authorizing Carolina Shoe Company to discuss the matter with the representative and to deal with the representative in resolving the matter.

Carolina Shoe Company requires that a consumer have the original sales receipt within one year of purchase and can identify the retailer that the footwear was purchased from. We may use reasonable efforts to contact that retailer on the consumer’s behalf to ensure full satisfaction. In the event that this is not possible the consumer may choose to return the footwear to us for inspection. If a determination is made that there is in fact a defect Carolina Shoe Company has, at its option, the right to either repair, prorate the value of the original purchase, as appropriate or replace the footwear with the same or comparably valued footwear. If no defect is apparent the inspected footwear will be returned to the consumer.
