Stopped by advance auto to get a bulb and couldn’t pass this up, $31. Broke the kit apart, 1/4” deeps went in my home tool box, 3/8” and 1/4 regular (plus ratchets and extensions) went in my general maintenance/travel bag, the few 3/8” deep got tossed in my “spare tools I’ll let people borrow/have or pass onto my kids first home” box. Found it odd it came with equal amounts of sae/mm sockets 1/4” regular and deep, plus 3/8” regular, but included no metric deep sockets. And only like 8 SAE sizes in deep.

The case went in the garbage, not garbage day yet if anyone wants it. Lol. Hard to pass up for the price.

Snap-on trim tool set long. He had red and green I was hoping for orange lol but oh well. Then picked up a magnetic pickup tool and got some pocket screwdrivers and drawing entries. Also talked him out of a camouflage hat too haha. Made a large payment today of $760 to get my balance down. :bounce:

You'll like those trim tools.

Whiteside Manufacturing Either End Adjustable Creeper, Made in USA. Finally pulled the trigger on buying it (with the help of a 20% off coupon from Zoro). BIG upgrade from the Craftsman I’ve been using for so long - thick pads, big, smooth casters, and five different settings for the back pad. This will put me at the perfect height when using my mid-rise lift at home.

Some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Like everything, it’s a good bit more expensive now than when I bought it in 2019, but even with the price increase I would not hesitate in buying it again. Their support is fantastic, and quickly respond to any inquiries. They even have a YouTube channel that shows setup and maintenance tips. I can’t recommend them enough.

I agree lol. And my OCD would not let me throw the case away either haha.
Ahh, yeah man, I never keep the cases, take up too much space which I am already short on. At one point I saved them, then realized, I’ll never use them again so what’s the point!

Not a ton of value in this at either way, but it’ll work for my needs!

Haha, this is trash! Sorry for the bad news. The one I got did not show zero when measuring a flat surface. I had to grind it down for it to work right.

That goes for any tread depth gage of that type that I've used, but I haven't used the lisle. I once tried to clean a gage I had off with brake clean and it melted

After seeing JavyLSU get the Sunex 3/8” drive torque adapter set, I decided to get a set too. I got SAE as I have old chevy. Cant wait to try them out.
Do they give you the torque value that you need to add or subtract to get the proper torque setting with the longer adapters?

I just bought one of those 14/17 sets too. $137 on Amazon. Pretty cheap I thought.

Or you just align the adapter perpendicular to the wrench and the torque reading is unchanged.
I’m not questioning you, but did you read that somewhere. I only ask because the paperwork never mentioned it and this is my first set of torque adapters. And until I read this thread I was unaware they existed.

thanks

It's simple trigonometry. Here's a link that shows it in a little bit of detail. It's a more common question with crowfoot wrenches but applies equally here.

Finished out my 3/8 SAE sockets from 13/16 up.
Smaller ones are all SK, but i cheaped out and went tekton for the bigger deeps and craftsman china on the 2 shallows. For that sizing i go 1/2” drive anyway but, cant stand to see naked tool posts, ahem..missing 3/8dr 1/4 deep

Not when you need to use the adapter in-line because of an obstruction that prevents use at a 90 degree angle, as has been the case in my uses.
Of course that's correct. I said the torque value is unchanged at 90˚. It will be different at every other angle, hence requiring a calculation. But if you can get away with a 90˚ angle it saves time and effort because you don't need to compensate for the change in torque.

I also use Tekton chrome sockets as my “fillers.” Great prices and quality, no complaints here.

Screwdriver overload today, lol my tekton and felo drivers came today, all the tekton drivers say usa on them, seem like they are well made, only one way to find out. I love the Felo wood handles, match my sorby chisels pretty good, can’t wait for a wood working project to try then. I think the tekton set will go in the new service cart.

Ebagged a craftsman RP (11/32) to fill a spot in the rack. Discovered my 1/4” and 1/2” were gone as well. Not sure I included those in a previous post or if I was waiting for the 11/32 to arrive. So now I’m complete again from 1/4”-3/4”. I’ll at one point get the larger sizes to complete the “set” up to 1”

I hate thieves!
