Just picked this up yesterday to go with my right angle one, love how compact they are. They’re not heavy duty but for small stuff on the fly they should be great.

Exciting day today, caught up with my snap on guy for the first time in ages. Annoyingly he hadn't got stock of the 40* pry bar I wanted, but we had a good catch up, I picked up a #3 pozi to take a land rover apart next week and ordered a pocket pry bar...which are not in stock in the UK yet but you can order them.

It was a fairly restrained day, but Im trying to pay down my $700 bill 😂

Liking those orange handled lang pry bars. Look like the wilde but with orange handles. I like orange. I miss the old style handle snapon pry bars. The wilde are close to the same shape and have the striking cap which is a must

My astro "last chance" hub tool came in. Didn't realize they road on a ball bearing which is nice, should make the threads last longer

I believe they ARE Wilde, just rebranded. They rebrand for several companies like (old) Craftsman, Tekton, Masterforce, Walmart Hyper Tough, etc. I think the best prices currently are on the Walmart Hyper Tough, but only available in select sizes. Same as Masterforce. If you want a whole set, or different colors, you have to go with one of the other rebrands (or Wilde itself of course).

Got mine yesterday from Amazon as well. Hopefully they will make short of work Subaru wheel bearings.

Snap-on Thursday today showed up twice this week lol. Got a small set of cutters, pocket screwdriver and a 5.5mm deep socket to go on the rail in the cart. And also I got looking at my receipt from last time and realized he didn’t charge me for the pry bar so I had him add that too. Remember honesty is important and that’s one of the things I’m known for is being honest so I wasn’t going to ruin it here.

Gotta do front hubs on the Dakota. It’s a rust belt truck. So I’m expecting problems.

Got the hubs ordered the other day ago (supposed to be here today or tomorrow. You know FedEx lol).

I ended up ordering a hub puller. I’m hoping I DON’T need it, but I’d rather have it and not need it VS needing it when the truck is in pieces and THEN having to order it and wait. It’s my only driver right now, so I don’t want it down for longer than absolutely necessary.

The puller feels beefy enough. It’s 5lbs only, but I couldn’t afford the 10lb one haha.

If 5lb don’t do it, I’m busting out the liquid wrench. Can’t be stuck if it’s liquid!

blakethecarguy- do yourself a favor- don’t loan any more tools, especially power tools.
Those guys are not your friends if they are breaking your tools and not replacing them. They are taking advantage of you! If they need to borrow a power tool- chances are they need to buy their own👍. It takes most techs only one or 2 times being shut down in public in the shop when asking to borrow a tool before they figure it out.

I borrowed my neighbors pressure washer. The hose cracked. I bought a new hose. He said I didn’t have to because it was old and about to go but he gave me the combo to his shed and said to borrow whatever I need without asking. He knew I knew the man rule.

I have always heard more than twice. I think there are exceptions, but not in a professional environment- then it's twice and done. I've borrowed a good friend's wheelbarrow at least twice over the last 20 years. And I'd ask to borrow it again if I needed it. It's not like I'm too cheap to buy one, I have no place to store it. And it's not like I'm going to wear it out; plus, I return it cleaner than I got it, washed and then wiped down with WD-40, and with the tire aired up... And I always bring him back some western beer for Christmas that you can't buy here from my summer road trip :beer:
