Blades count right... My dome cutting device is dull.

I just bought a cordless Wahl I hope is better then the $50 3-year jobbies that die in exactly 3 years and one day after purchase. "Wahl Stainless Steel Lithium Ion 2.0+", and it seems pretty stout thus far for the Scottish chin armor. I know you're fixing up the old corded faithful so I'll scream to high hell when this thing fails before the 55-year old corded beast around here gives out. Thing just rattles my head into anguish

I dont like spline drive. It causes a nerve between my testicles and sphincter to twitch.

I don't understand spline-drives at all unless you have those aerospace GE/RR spline bolt heads, then 6/12 point wrenches just won't work just the same. Here, I would have happily sold some industrial finish SO spline drive sockets and wrenches as I'll never touch them again. I'm new so I'll be more alert to these desires in the future!

Crescent and Craftsman both sold an affordable socket and ratchet set at Ace so I picked both up, both did GREAT at not rounding the bolt head because I stripped most of the sockets out within a month

Oh, and new purchase today. 1/4" locking flex-head standard length and the long lost 1/4" drive 3 mike mike hex socket arrived from 2021. I need to take the "allen" back. 3mm Allen socket!

I like the locking head flex much more than the normal flex from Snap-On: They're both locking and free-flex and you just put up with a mild wart of which I don't feel in my grip. You pull the switch down and then sideways, it's free-flex mode time. Matco has no wart sticking out but they're locking only.

I'm kinda waiting on anyone that has had a SO locking flex head for a few years to try this out and have a mind blown if they didn't know it also had free-flex. It's worth $30 more for me to have both at least.

These flex-head ratchets have always gone straight to work to earn their purchase to pay themselves off very shortly in my line of work. Money is time first, then time is just money.

I know on GJ it should be camo covered and have tactical in the name.

I worked for a company 30 years ago and the boss hired an industrial designer. I was used to clunky industrial items and he gave them the Euro Designed look. When I got used to them I really liked them.

The red/yellow one was a loaner unit. Maybe they chose that one so there is no way anyone could misplace it.

This is typically what we use, made in Texas USA. Certainly looks "industrial".

That looks like something made by students that went down to Radio Shack and bought a project box, or it's military salvage repurposed.

I have those GW long flex head spline drive ratchet wrenches as well. At the time i didnt even look snap on's way due to the price and the mountain brand ones have that large offset (also spline at the time?) but man..the spline really buggers up the ends on hex heads, especially on softer bolts. it is the literal opposite of a flank drive lol.
Ill be selling mine shortly and buying SO XFRMs. I find myself using wrenches in alot of areas guys would just use a socket set..dont know, maybe years of being poor and using only hand me down or cheapo wrenches have left me with some archaic habits. Those long rathet wrenches really made quick work of some suspension bolts on euro cars even if it did mar the fastener some..

Though my last post here I said it would be my last NTD for a while, I have had a bunch come in since then. I can't stop . I have a few Klein mini ratchets in my tool bags, which are GREAT, but on a job this week we could have used a ratcheting hex.

Removing these LiteTouch modules from a closet in a boat, the previous installer must have used whatever hardware they had on hand. Mix of flat, ph, and hex - Anyway, with the angled closet, getting in behind the modules to get to the hardware was a pain. Hate not having the right tools to make the job easier, so wen't and grabbed this Wiha kit from Lowes. For $30, was hard to pass up, and seems cheaper than most other options? Swapped the extra PH1 and PH3 with two slotted bits... Probably won't use it all that often, but will be nice to have when I need it.

Needed a can of Seafoam, so I ran out to Advance Auto and while checking out, I looked behind the counter and saw this 3/8” flex head long handle ratchet marked down to $6.95. SOLD! The ratchet felt very familiar, it’s exactly the same as the Gearwrench 84 tooth flex head with the “detents” at different angles. I feel like I made @BlakeTheCarGuy proud today

Snap-on Thursday today boys. Tons of stuff to spend money on . The long 1/2 ratchet probably not needed but I had to have it for the color lol. This is not power blue it’s called Metallic Blue I believe is what he said. It’s a new color for 2022. Then metallic blue magnet and a warranty pocket screwdriver. Got some gasket scrapers too as I do tons of gaskets all the time. Never had good scrapers so I’ll be excited to try these. He had green and red and I’m more of a fan of red lol. Picked up 4 pairs of socks as they are back in stock. Then warranty cutters I had a pair from the 70s that was so dull and beat up I figured I’ll just get them replaced rather than trying to sharpen them or anything and the grip was no good so he replaced those for me as well. Then got the 7inch straight jaw locking pliers. Got the 9 inch last time. Also got a coworkers brake caliper compressor warrantied and my boss scan tool updated. They send me to the truck with everything because I’m one of the best customers and get stuff for a good price . Expect to see Snap-on stuff on Thursday now as he moved us to Thursday and the other portion of the shops to Tuesday in order to serve every brand at my shop. Oh yeah and thanks to my coworker for letting me use the top of his box to take a picture of the big ratchet lol.

Also had him warranty a socket but it had to be ordered. Would of been two sockets but found out one is from the military days when Snap-on made tools for the military so it is not lifetime warranty so I’m going to hold on to it because it’s cool.

Damn you spent some money today! I’m 99% sure that ratchet is power blue. The color code for all the power blue stuff is “MB” so that’s probably where your guy is getting the “Metallic Blue” name from.

That’s what I was thinking too. Either way cool color and awesome for sure haha. Talk about leverage here it is. I have a Matco that’s a little longer but that’s it. He had tons of the blue stuff in it’s a wonder I didn’t buy more LOL.

Metric re-threaders. Have always used taps to clean up threads on rusted bolts and fasteners so I'm not sure why I bought these, but a post on some forum said using a tap on existing threads was bad. Anyway for $22 and made in the USA, I'm not out much if it ends up unused.

If your ever this way I can probably get that other socket warrantied for you I've had a few my guy does it anyway. And I use the **** out of my 1/2 drive like that. Lol one of my old BG reps gave me about 25 of them years ago, they've been cut up, ground down, bent for different purposes over the years that's what's left. That small one was from Marco but made by Lisle, it's got a great edge and is amazing for water pumps, valve cover gaskets, water outlets, basically any edge that there's not much room but would like some bigger ones as well
