I swear... I use them ALL the time. I have a serious set of different styles. All repackaged so it's easier than "On that Wire".

I thought I had solved this problem last year when I bought these in metric and standard:


...then last month I mis-measured a threaded hole before heading out to Lowe's to buy 4 wrong bolts. On the drive back to the store I decided that would be the last time...

I bought one this style, of course based on another GJ thread. Sure is nice to have when you need it.

I was looking at this one too - I wound up going with Thread Checker for the portability that I need, most of the time underneath a car... A lot cheaper too.

I was looking at this one too - I wound up going with Thread Checker for the portability that I need, most of the time underneath a car... A lot cheaper too.

I had that issue with a 9mm (forgot the tpi) I had a lot of trouble confirming it was a 9mm. I had to back into the size by 1st locking down the TPI then looked up the possible sizes. Spent WAY too much time on that one.

It was the threaded tip on the Milwaukee M12 Polisher.

Yeh. The 500i is an interesting saw to use, a mate has one that he uses every weekend and I’ve put a couple of tanks through - it accelerates and revs like nothing else I’ve use, feels surprisingly light for its size, and cuts so damn fast.

Mine started second pull from new and normally they start first pull from cold, I’m looking forward to getting mine bar deep in some oak to run it in hard, apparently it should make a bunch more power after a few more tanks.

I went into the office today and there's a Harbor Freight within walking distance, so.............


I really only wanted the 1/2" ratchet as something is loose inside my 30 year old Craftsman. But...

• Have never had a flex-head ratchet and they seem like they would work well in tight spaces.
• All of my socket extensions are chrome.
• I wanted a flare nut wrench set for brake lines.
• Attaching or disconnecting the side-mount terminals on the Corvette battery was harder than I would prefer with a socket and ratchet. Especially since it's buried in the compartment behind the driver's seat.

I wanted to get some impact adapters so I can use my 1/2" impact sockets with my 3/8" impact gun. But HF didn't have any despite what it said online. I would prefer not using my chrome ones for that task.



And then when I came home my package from Summit racing arrived.

I have that RO on the left, and it's a solid sander! The dust catcher is a pain to take off, but it seems to **** up fine dust (I was using it for epoxy) quite nicely.

They had the Makita 2 pac as well $10. more. That wasn’t the deciding factor. I like both brands but probably lean towards the Bosch. Just have had good luck with that particular manufacturer. The deciding factor was the Bosch had a little more amperage in the power end. I have and old King orbital probably similar to a Grizzly if they make one. I needed a new Velcro pad and had one ordered one 3-4 weeks ago. Phoned them to check eta they didn’t have an ordered in my behalf. I even drove over ordered and gave them my CC. Tried a on line order desk, none in stock. Guess I’ll just buy the repair kit and give it to my daughter for her projects.

I'm so tempted to get that Impact... I look forward to seeing before and after "arm/gun" pictures after a year or two of usage.

Well couldn’t wait for the dewalt ratchet so i picked up the Milwaukee 2560 Long each. First glance it seems a little bulky but feels well made, almost as heavy as the right angle impact. Hopefully i covered all the cordless right angle drivers, now I’ll have to see which ones work. The long reach ratchet actually feels heavier than the impact, it’s a little longer, going to try them out tonight.

As a comparison the impact ratchet is a little over two inches more compact and the ratchet is three inches smaller. As compared to the stuby 3/8 impact 2554

I would be curious to know if the long reach is worth the extra weight/length. I was leaning towards the standard length as the compact-ness seems to be preferable.
