I have a new version of that tool sitting on my desk currently. I was looking for an easy way to flare some fittings I have for a project here at work, I went a different direction, but that tool would be handy for sure on brake lines.12 bux, had to have it
Been using a lot of the NiCopp lately and this tool should be quick to clamp and hold. Copper Nickle is easier to flare too. Gonna clean and oil it up in a bit.
Latest pick up from KC Tools and DRPD. My first time experiencing PB Swiss, and I must say, their screwdrivers do indeed live up to the hype...I see more of them in my very near future.
Then, I'm finally starting to upgrade/build a dedicated track-side/travel tool box for my dirt bike and bicycles and will be using this Pelican im2600 Storm case as the vessel. Everything is going to go into 3 or 4 layers of Kaizen foam.
I picked it up used, off ebay for a decent price.

My metric 1/4 stuff was old half put together and missing multiple sizes so decided to upgrade. It hurt but I think it’ll be worth it.

For $40 I can’t be mad at this buy… I wanted the Bolt-Biter set, and basically got 2 sets of pliers, two impact drivers, and a 3/8 comfort grip ratchet for free:
My Milwaukee right angle impact driver also was delivered today. Not too thrilled with the collet, you have to pull it out to insert and remove a bit - all my other drivers will accept the bit by just pushing it in. I don’t think it’s a deal-killer though.

I use my M12 right angle hex impact all the freaking time. I just deal with the collet. I spent way too much money this past week. Got my 1/2 SK DT ratchet today. I love these things! I just need to get the 1/4 but it’s been on backorder for awhile. I think I’m into roundhead ratchets, I only have a set of Craftsman pearhead ratchets in my home box. Everything else is round and proud.
Finally put in an HJE order. It’s been like four or five months since my last one. I’m impressed with the close out SK T handles. They are graduated in size which is actually what I’ve been looking for and all in, both sets were about half the cost of the equivalent Bondhus ones. I can’t wait to oil down the WW2 era breaker bar and get it used; it’s in way better shape than I expected. The only item I’m not super impressed with is the close out precision pliers. One has a giant crack in the casting, most of the ends don’t meet evenly and the edges are all sorts of burred, but for the price I’m not going to worry. I’ll deburr what I can at work and hopefully the crack won’t split off a chunk of steel. I love HJE cause I don’t know where I’d find most of this stuff otherwise.

It was a deal that Acme Tools was running on Monday. I got Home Depot to price match the order, and posted it in the Hot Deals. There must have been a rush of people viewing the link, because Acme jacked up the price to $141 in a matter of hours...

Dont think I posted this when I got it back at Xmas. Got the Mityvac 7300 fluid extractor so I dont have to crawl under cars to drain oil anymore. This thing is slick. Just stood around having a cold one while the compressor and the extractor did all the work. Extracted exactly what should have been in the engine, never even got on the floor. Life save for these low to the ground cars.
Couple snappy things. My recent obsession with Audis is facilitating lots of tool purchases. I have a plethora of Torx already, but didnt have this mini set yet. I told myself for tools like this I wont order them, but if they're on the truck I'll grab em. Well my driver finally had them in stock. The other is a locking flex bit ratchet. I had to use a bit ratchet to get the fender liners loose the other weekend because my lazy *** didnt want to remove the wheels to do so. The small Wiha ratchet that came with my Wiha bit set I posted awhile back is nice in open places, but in cramped spots its very easy to hit the selector switch which drove me mad so when I saw this on the truck I snatched it right up.

i have the ez red low profile torx set that fits into 13mm ratchet wrenches and was looking for something similar in metric hex set. Could easily find standard sets which do me no good, only found this metric set from mayhew. Don't really need the smaller ones being that I have those sizes in bit driver sets but the larger sizes should come in handy. Really wish they had the ball detent made into the sockets like the ez red's but they do have a 1/4 drive built into them

My newest arrival. It was past time I got my own after having borrowed one more than a couple times. Just finished adding labels for each part number to the case to make actually using the manual easier which can save time by taking the trial and error guesswork out of the equation to get the right adapters for the job at hand. I also picked up a handful of 607V Thrust bearings, a needed addition the kit does not come with, and an extra forcing screw, as I've learned the hard way that it will eventually need replacing no matter how well lubed it's kept and a thrust bearing used.

I use a 6 point Capri tools ratcheting wrench with the Mayhew torx one. It hold them very well!

How'd you get your hands on these? i like the vamplyers set but dont wana spend that money lolReceived these today. Engineer from Japan (same maker as Vampliers but a third of the cost). High quality and very pleased with all of them.

Settled on the 6-1/2" Subcompact Brushless circ saw today, with the 2ah starter kit (anyone know if there's an after market for chargers because I've got a collection now!) Ridgid is catching up to my DeWalt arsenal quickly. Still might go back for the Sawzall on my next paycheck, as I've heard good things online about the Ridgids.
Have a couple of single sockets on order to help fill out my metric set that should arrive Tuesday along with a set of E-torx sockets that I've been meaning to pick up.

Back in October I sent away a MAC screwdriver I’ve had for decades to get a broken tip replaced. Got this French piece of **** back. Really miss that old square hard handle. Don’t like this one at all. Probably will gift it to my son in law.

I don’t like that handle at all. I have two Mac screwdrivers I need replaced with hard handles but I’m not sending them in only to get that as a replacement. Wish it was like Snap-on where they don’t take the old one back if you go directly through them or get the tip replaced if you have a dealer. Surprised Mac doesn’t do that.
