No, I got the first hose last week a day or 2 after I ordered it, and a 2nd hose just showed up today, and I got notification that my order was delivered.

I'm not sure why 2 got sent. My order quantity was 1. They said I could keep it or return it to a UPS store.
Walmart accidently sent me TWO packages of freshly sliced roast beef in my last order. Checked my bill... I got somebodies $8.94 worth of roast beef they paid for. For this I say... pass the mustard.

If I recall I think this was originally a $25 hose. It was marked down to 9 as a return. Don't know what I'll do with the 2nd one.. Maybe I'll just connect them together.

edit: only 296 pages, NOT 396. still a hell of a lot of catalog... hope Mark is okay with it... there aren't many GTD catalogs at ITCL now.

^ Terra Nova - just out of curiosity, how much did you have to pay for the little red cleaning discs?

(I paid $1.97 each for 3M units a couple weeks ago at Tacoma Screw... no idea if that's high or low or in-between.)

They were $0.72 ea, but you have to buy in quantities of 25. I can’t say how they hold up but I’ve had pretty decent luck with their 4 1/2” flap disks. The 3M ones are supposed to be really good.

I had to pick them up for a buddy of mine who does the work on my vehicles - he wanted them for the water pump R&R. No idea how many he used on that job. I bought ten or twelve of them... they were bulk. (FTR: Tacoma Screw is higher than hell - it's like buying shoes at Nordstroms.)

Much more cheaply made that my 10 year old Craftsman xsp vac and heavy duty auto detailing hose. But its bigger and more powerful so we'll see how it stands the test of time. $99

Please let us know how that induction nut buster works for you. I keep almost pulling the trigger on a mini-ductor but then there's those other brands for just a tad cheaper that keep catching my eye too and I've been stalling. I don't have oxy acetylene at home any more like I used to so I want to get my backup plans covered before I get myself in a jam. Which I definitely will.

Everyone else was, so I had to jump on the band wagon too. Dealer just got it in and cut me a good deal. I've only needed it 4 times in the last month!20220323_170733.jpg
Yeah that's a set I can't do without. I'm currently using my third one though a lot if not most of the previous two sets are still around. FYI Lang (formerly Kastar) is the OEM of those 40 and 48 pc thread restorer sets and they get rebranded as Craftsman, Matco, Snap On, etc. If someone is shopping for a good price on one it can pay to check around. I think snap-on still sells the pieces individually too, or they used to at least when no one else did, though for the price of a few you could find the whole set branded as Craftsman or whatnot.

Does Snap-On lifetime warranty them if you buy the set from a dealer? I think all the other rebrands incl Lang themselves consider them consumables.

You can buy individual pieces from Lang also.

My guy has, I had a SO branded set at home and a Mac at work, haven't seen a Mac in years, swapped sets just in case, no need, LOL.

What are these lang/rebranded lang sets going for these days out of curiosity? Walmart Canada has a 48pc (Lang KS971) on sale right now for online order only at $153.97 CAD. I don't need a set right now, but just looking for an idea of what they're worth when I do decide to pick one up.

MySO set off the truck was under $70 but that might have been a few years ago.

I picked up the 48pc Lang from Amazon a month ago for $72. Now it looks like they only have the 40pc for $96?

Looks like SO list price is now $173. If the Lang jumps up in price from what I paid, it's probably worth getting SO. I'll probably replace any pieces with SO if they wear out/break just for future warranty.

Lang will warranty them. You can also purchase individual pieces from them.

@ptgarcia, mind letting us know where you bought the socket rails?

@Wiz02 Sure thing. They came from Amazon:

Ernst Manufacturing 13-Inch Socket Organizer with 14 3/8-Inch Twist Lock Clips, Blue - 8418

Even though I have used the included components many times I agree. Several times I have needed metric fine thread not found in the kit.

Yeah I saw the Lang was around $90 and thought about it, but I like supporting my snappy guy and he dropped it to $150 and told me he would warranty anything in the kit should I break it. Easy decision for me.

Snap-on Thursday. Picked up some new stuff. Got some mini screwdrivers in orange. I know I can use those especially for clips and dash work and stuff like that. Most of my coworkers said that’s what they use them for too. I’m thinking of picking up the mini torx set too but not sure yet. Snagged another pocket screwdriver too. I had a coworker who has never bought anything from the Snap-on guy before go on there and say I want 4 of them the Snap-on guy handed him one and said don’t be greedy man. I thought that was hilarious because he got two last time. And got a valve core remover too because everyone runs off with the shop ones. Hopefully don’t have to use it much as I hate doing tires lol. I also had a number 2 Phillips tip replaced. Someone had ground it down flat on the top so it would not go fully in the screw head. Technically he didn’t have to replace it since it was modified and I’m not an original owner but I handed it to him asking if he would said yeah and about 30 seconds later had a new one lol. He warranties anything with Snap-on or their brands on it no matter where someone got it. I paid $.50 for that at the pawn shop like two years ago it has just sat in my box at home.

I use the **** out of those mini screwdrivers for clips and electrical plugs. You reminded me I need to have him replace my smaller one, broke the corner of the blade off again.
