Tactical spork for those close hand to hand eating situations 😂

Yep, & it has a concealed knife in the handle :)
Yep, I've got that kit and it's very handy when I forget to bring utensils with me for my breaks and lunch at work, which happens sometimes. That knife can cut a pork chop or steak like the ones in your kitchen.

Was way past time I bought myself these. Borrowed one too many times now whenever a connector was fighting me which seems to be happening more and more. I've been pretending it's due to the connectors getting increasingly stubborn even though I know it's that just like everything else they're getting harder as I get older. At least now I've mostly learned to know when I need these pliers before I wind up fighting with a damn connector until I break one of the tabs. If you've never used one of these before they really are a game-changer. One of those tools you never knew just how bad you needed until you've tried it.

saw this and had to order some

I wanna know is how even do 'they' manage to orient the release part of nearly every clamp in a direction where it's impossible to get any tool to? If there's 270 degrees where you have a nice clean shot at getting your tool on it it's always in that 90 degrees that you can't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Typically everything is designed for ease of assembly. Unfortunately, it makes maintenance a total pain.

How much did you pay for that 16mm GearWrench? It used to be the killer.
Looks like $20. Found a few places at $35 though.

Surprisingly my very first PB Swiss tools. I really only wanted the wide flat head but DRPD has really good prices so I picked up the stubby coin driver too. Never heard of DRPD before until seeing them here on GJ. Shipped yesterday & arrived today, great packaging too. Even included PB Swiss & DRPD stickers. Thanks DRPD!

The #7 flat head compared to a more "normal" size flat head.

It's gonna live here on my bench rack.

Picked up this saw handle while I was browsing Lowes today. Thought it may come in handy to keep in the tool bag since it can hold hacksaw blades as well as recip blades.

Some more air coupler fitting gaskets. I never knew you could buy these before. I used to just buy new couplers & toss the leaky ones. Now I can get much longer life out of them by replacing the gaskets. Still gotta rebuild 5 more brass couplers.
20220422_172552.jpg

I used the lathe chuck to hold them cause I didn't want to put fugly jaw marks on them. These suckers were screwed together tight!

Got these HF jack stands at 25% off ($29.99 instead of $39.99) last weekend. I've got several pairs of stands, but the other ratcheting style do not have the locking pins and I'm a little leery of them. They seem sturdy, welds look good, and they have the supports welded inside the legs.

Edit: I finally got some good light to show the underside, the welds, and the bracing. It looks like HF did a good job on these.

They don't look orange to me, they look like wood.

Are they those cuticle sticks or whatever?
I'd call them cuticle sticks. I keep a stock of something similar in my shop but I just bought a package of wooden skewers at the grocery store.

I also keep a stock of various size popsicle sticks that come in quite handy.

Some new birthday tools from yesterday from my parents. From Harbor Freight and Auto Zone. I picked them all out. They said I could get whatever I wanted and that they didn’t want to get me any tools because they don’t know what I have and what I don’t lol 😂 I said sometimes I don’t either haha. They were out of the pliers wrench again unfortunately. I’m still laughing so hard over the name of the magnetic bowl from Auto Zone. I got the pliers because I’ve had really good luck with their pliers and as far as I’m aware not many make the Channellock type that small. And the small adjustable wrench can be a lifesaver too. The old socket was cool to find as well and since I’m trying to collect every size up to two inches I fugues it was a good start that and the 1 1/2 are my biggest so far. Harbor Freight and Auto Zone are in the same strip mall so you know I had to go to both plus we had to get parts at Auto Zone anyway. I wasn’t leaving without tools. Also went to the pawn shop yesterday too and got a bunch of tools.

The 9mil gloves were on sale again. Just so everyone knows the 5 mil are absolutely terrible now too they used to be really good but I went through 5 sets replacing pads and rotors yesterday and two sets last time I changed oil too. They are also a different color now too so I don’t recommend the 5 mil anymore the 7 and 9 are still great though.

Is it just me or is anyone else going crazy seeing the Name and size stamps on some of those wrenches reversed from the others? My OCD needle is pegged. :willy_nil

"Magnetic nut cup", huh?
I'd have thought they thought of a way to eliminate that traditional jock strap type holder

My buddy forgot his jack stands yesterday when he came over so I went up to ACE Hardware and picked these up:

I'm still thinking that we could have just put a glob of grease in that one cup and kept driving it, but he insisted on putting in a new one....

at least now we think we know where that funny rumbling noise was coming from. ;)

Sometimes a red, sometimes a yellow or Sometimes both, curious how the dw pw will work, i like the compact size. The m18 seems to work the best of the cordless vacs, unfortunately it doesn’t have a plug also, i have a dewalt that is cordless and corded, nice option. Also picked up my first set of left hand drill bits, really never needed them, but have a few broken bolts to try them on. Also picked up these bessy cabinet clamps, just tried them today, going back tomorrow, nice idea but poor quality.

What I like most about those Craftsman stands are the flats on the feet. Too many jack stands don't have those. I've never even considered buying jack stands without them after seeing an otherwise pristine driveway crippled by eight L-shaped impressions that dug themselves 1/4" deep into asphalt on a 90 deg day in the sun.

Pliers are Engineer pz-59 neji-saurus RX. Vamplier clones & real nice quality.
Just an FYI, Engineer pliers aren't clones of Vampliers. Vampliers are actually made by Engineer, they're identical to the Engineers (aside from color & P/Ns) and actually have the Engineer name molded in the handle overmolds.

I always thought Vampliers were just for the American market or something like that. But I'm probay wrong about that & I assume Vamplier is a separate company?

As far as I can tell, all Vampire Tools are Engineer rebrands. Vampire also has a warranty in the US (located in CA) and Engineer does not.

I steal those from my wife sometimes.

I love those things.

And q-tips... I grab a handful from the bathroom every so often for the garage.

Over the last week or so, I've got a few new things -

Most of the Bonney Cam Lock ratcheting line wrenches in NOS condition. Mostly just to collect, these seem in too nice condition to use.

20220425_135322.jpg

20220425_135336.jpg

I picked up a Milwaukee M12 3/8" drive high speed cordless ratchet. I'm pretty happy with it so far and the high RPM had an unexpected benefit to the first job I used it on - A situation with sheet metal screws in a plenum that had nuts on them rather than went into nutserts where the screw head was difficult to get to. Spinning just the nut only resulted in the screw catching occasionally and the ratchets' high speed worked very well in expediting this process and saving me probably an hour across many screws.

I also had a 1968 Snap-on FL720 ratchet with a quick release that had started to strip. My Snap-on guy put a new kit in it and as an added bonus, it went from 20 to 30 teeth.

20220425_135357.jpg

Picked up some PB Swiss 1/4" hex security torx bits from DRPD as well as some Grey Pneumatic 1/4" drive e torx sockets and that same Lisle scraper everyone was getting from Amazon.

Replacing ancient carpet on my main floor and tired of chasing cords on my fossil circular and jig saws, so since I’m already invested in Ryobi 18v I got the cheap brushed ones to cut wood laminate.
I have a Craftsman miter saw on a portable stand that I use to cut planks to length, but I use the circular to rip them and the jig for the detail cutting. $125 for both including tax and pack of fine jig blades. I can work with that.7ECEDF01-68D5-4C80-B205-EDEA7BD04D61.jpeg7924E608-D40F-44A2-BB09-596E6D498A2B.jpeg
