From a gift shop in Tehachapi a week ago:

That place has a gift shop? Where? Everytime we passed that place, we just had a buger at Windy's and get on our way fast. Could visit somewhere next time

It's in the same building as the German bakery... which is THE place to eat in town. Dogs welcome on the patio too, there were 5 when we we there. :)

When ya go in, you grab a menu sheet, fill it out with a pencil & hand it in when you to the front of the line. There's plenty of parking on the West side of the location just past the VFW.

The sandwiches come with a HALF Ounce bag of Lays chips which is pretty comical. The Cubano is good.

Older Craftsman drill find. Clean as a whistle, must have been hiding in a time capsule for 30 years. $14.99 at Goodwill, now it's mine!

It can hold some serious weight once it is loaded up. I can feel it on the mower once I get near to a full load on it. Despite that, still fairly easy to dump when fully loaded up.
Do you ever use it when the grass is fresh cut, or do you wait until it has dried out?

before making assumptions one should look at facts. sk's superchrome is or was some of the best in the business. especially on the wrenches. here is the unknown. that picture does not show the wrench set very well. i can't tell for sure either but that appears to be an older set. if so many of the older line wrenches were not a polished finish. they were a rougher finish, similar to a satin but not that either.

either way the sk flare wrenches are pretty well regarded no matter the finish

I bought the S-K wrenches on Amazon, so maybe they are an older set or were returned. The model number is 373. The ad mentions that they have the SuperKrome finish.

I took a closer look at it tonight. There's actually some rust on the 10 mm side.

Hope its not an ebay special... You'll know its a fake if the battery drains quickly, 2-3 months.
Not to worry. I'm not much of an EBay shopper.

All the documentation looks legitimate and matches the papers that came with my Mitutoyo that I use at work. The feel of the sliding motion isn't as smooth though. I'm assuming it will loosen up over time.

I picked up this Duro Indestro 5/8" x 13/16" 12 point flare nut wrench from ebay. Why? Because it seemed like an interesting semi unique tool and it's perfect for 3/8" (5/8") and 1/2" (13/16") air brake lines.

I always wanted a set of those that were a super deep offset. D/I made those, and I've only seen one in the wild - really worn and flying solo. Might have made refrigeration work much easier back in the day.

It wouldn’t be unheard of. One of my SK socket sets came straight from SK with chrome chips, rust in the broaching, and inconsistent internal detents. It’s kind of par for the course with SK. Some stuff is awesome and some is lacking.

These Italian COO Proto roundhead ratchets have become a favorite of mine. I just got the 3/8 flex to complete my collection. Added a 6-19mm deep 6pt Proto socket set.
What makes these such great ratchets? I'm interested! Just need a reason to buy them...

First arrival today was a Gearwrench locking flex ratchet to accompany my GW serpentine kit that I bought years ago either before they came out with or at least before I knew there was such a thing. This is one of those GJ costing me money tools that got mentioned in a recent thread and wound up in my cart within minutes.

Then right after that came my new Dewalt 20V grease gun. Oh man have I wanted this for a long time now.

No need to pay through the nose. This place on Amazon had red ones for $17, & teal ones for $39.... WTF?? These are 1/4in thick, the bright green ones I have in some drawers are thinner.
How do they hold up? My beef with standard liners is that they rip easily especially once they sit in the drawer for awhile. Plus they never want to lay flat for the longest time. Do the yoga mats leave any residue on the tools if they sit for awhile?

The best tool box liner I have found is the harbor freight stuff. I am not stoked about saying that but it’s true. I stick it down with pieces of 3m emblem tape and it stays put👍😂.

They're fine, some of the ones I have are 12 years old. I have them in my welding toolbox & on a toolcart. My main toolbox has the thin black stuff that came with the (Hammerhead) box & several of the drawers have 1/2in of regular foam under that. The 1/2in foam is going in the trash. I'll post pics of the red stuff when I get it installed.
