Yes, it's 4.5" (117mm) long and a deep broach. It's specs rate it to fit a 10mm nut on up to a 4" stud and it's $43 currently

Or you could get CTA Tools 10mm Extra Deep Socket (120mm) for $13 currently. It's not Snap-on grade, but it'll turn 10mm fasteners on long studs for years.

Or at least mine sure has. I bought the 10pc set when it was about $20 less than today's asking price and it's served me well.

Folks that ship tools in cheap **** bubble mailers should be publicly flogged. Amazon has even done this to me when they sent a 4 pound brass hammer, just tossed it in a bubble mailer. Mind mindbogglingly stupid.

you think thats stupid. just wait, i ordered 2 35lb dumbbells, a water bottle and a jump rope from dicks sporting goods and guess what showed up? a box that im surprised that held up 2 dumbbells and 2 other items that were so smashed to bits i wouldnt know what they were if i didnt order them myself.

I'm right at the limit of having enough air for my 498k and big nasty. If I had a place for 1/2" air lines I'd be in the market for the rifle length air hammer.
These big riveters run perfectly fine with 3/8" lines as long as you use high flow couplers or jump up to 3/8 industrial couplers.

I have a 3/8" whip hose on mine with a 1/2" industrial coupler because the shop I work in only uses 1/4" and 1/2" industrial couplers.

Haha (that *****). My Mom did that once to my flush cutters. No idea what she tried to cut but it doesn't take much to damage flush cutters for electronics.

Sounds like you need to get the wifey her own pair of Knipex CoBolts. :D

Not a tool but they're for my tools. I don't have a shop so most of the stuff in my garage is mobile so I can make workspace when needed. I like to cover my machines that don't get a lot of use or when I expect them not to get used in a while.

Three smoker (BBQ) covers in two different sizes. Well made, pretty thick, have handles at the top for lifting, & they have velcro straps at the bottom to take up slack (don't think I'll bother with them since they're being used indoors). They also have good weather resistance according to the reviews but again indoors so whatever. Really happy with these, beats using old towels that I used before.

First part of my order from a new source for Williams/Bahco/Snap-on Industrial stuff. The deep 3/8 SAE is on backorder but I received the 1/2 SAE chrome and the Bahco pruners. Absolutely awesome pruners. Not a terrible fan of the locking latch design but I’m hoping use and some 3-in-1 should eventually loosen the sliding mechanism. These beat the snot out of my Fisker/Ace/Home Depot stuff.

The sockets are my first from Williams USA. They are replacing my Weras. The stamping is a little smaller than my other US stuff but not as small as I thought it was going to be. Chrome looks good outside of one socket with some gunk/pitted finish but for the price, I’ll deal with it no problem. Had I known about Williams years ago, I probably would have built my whole box with them. The prices are stupid affordable and the quality seems really good in comparison to my preferred brands of Proto and Ko-ken. I guess I’ll find out once I get them to work if they are softer (as has been indicated on some threads here) than my other brands.

The wife ruined my Diamond diagonal cutters trying to cut the head off a screw several months ago. So I scouted the net to find another pair, no luck at that time. So a couple of weeks ago I was browsing eBay and found a NOS pair. Got them today. After the first time using the app discount they ended up costing about $5, the same price as the original ones cost in 1976.
I have that exact pair out in a toolbox in the shop. Still work perfectly, just like the NOS Diamond needlenose I got from HJE last year.
That *****. The last time that happened to me was for a Matco box wrench, just thrown in a bubble mailer, arrived with a rip in the corner & no wrench. That was from ebay & the seller refunded me right away. I really wanted that wrench though & couldn't find another one as good & at that price. Ended up getting an Armstrong USA wrench which I was happy with.

Why do carriers deliver empty packages like there is nothing wrong? Well USPS did repackage something for me once that had box damage & put a note on it. What pisses me off even more are the sellers who cheap out on packaging and/or don't have common sense to package stuff properly.

If I ship something in a bubble mailer that has any weight to it I protect the item enough so that it wouldn't get damaged as if it wasn't in a bubble mailer. And I tape both ends so it won't rip & the item can't fall out. But if yours was theft then that's a different story. I figure HJE knows better & should take care of you.
*cough*amazon*cough*
That is a Wilton 745A, simple to ship right? A bit of tape, slap a shipping label on and you're GTG right? Right! So what do they do? Stick it in a box big enough to hold probably 6 of them with what for packing material? Oh right, a piece of craft paper. Gibbering simps
Korin on the other hand (perhaps somehow knowing their packages go through the NYC hub) packaged my order so well that despite being 100% convinced my gyuto and ceramics were either destroyed or bent when the box arrived, not even the box my knife came in was bent.

Picked up a pair of Milwaukee gloves and a few Diablo metal cutting blades.

Don't normally enjoy wearing gloves when I'm working on something, but these are excellent. They will form to your hands, and after a while they will break-in to the point they are extra comfortable. Very durable, comfortable throughout use. The Diablo blades will cut through most and multiple thicknesses and does not lose the cutting edge.

New to me tools I got in today via a GJ Classifieds purchase from Snapped-Off (Thanks!).
A Precision instruments D3F100F dial-type torque wrench. LUV this style torque wrench. It nicely complements my PI split beams IMHO.
And a 10pc Williams metric ratcheting Supercombo wrench set that's sweet AF. I can tell already my Gearwrenches are jealous.

My Koken 1/4" drive sockets finally arrived. I also impulse bought a KTC stubby ratcheting screwdriver. I was a little disappointed to find out the screwdriver was made in Taiwan, but it feels like a quality piece.

What do you think of them? Happy with your choice? I know from the other thread you were debating brands.

Always good to replace “like with like”!

I have a “set” of those in a block of wood on my bench. Pretty much my “go to” for anything I need to hold in one hand while I work on it.

I like those drivers so much I have spares of the popular sizes.9670B7AD-DD2D-4189-9124-58F1574DF7BE.jpeg

From where did you purchase the Williams tools?
Pro Tool Warehouse. I actually called them to make sure they were legit as I could not find much info online outside of their website. But the nice guy with the Georgia drawl convinced me they were in fact legitimate and as it turns out they are a leading supplier for Williams/Bahco.

Some new Harbor Freight goodies. 1 and 1/2 ounce dead blow hammer. They wear out fast but just take it back and get another one you can’t beat that. I noticed when I was online most manufacturers of them only give you a couple year warranty I’m like nope if I’m paying big bucks I expect it to be replaced if it breaks. That’s why it’s Snap-on or Pittsburgh for dead blows for me. 27mm socket for the cart at work. One of the few individuals that HF sells. 4 inch c-clamp. Always need c-clamps. Then found socket caps there so I picked them up as they are very handy when you need them. And 10 inch needle nose vise grips everyone else stops at 9. And same thing on the warranty for them if they break I just bring them back and get new ones. The long pair I bought a few weeks ago has really come in handy for some of those pinch style hose clamps that everyone hates dealing with. Lastly got a tray for the cart. Not sure if I will use it but I see a lot of guys with them in their carts so I figured for $4 if it doesn’t end up in the cart it will end up in the box at home or something. Can’t really think of much to put in there honestly.

I love those socket cap attachments! I have two sets of three, and several singles I picked up over the past few years. They are great in ratcheting box wrenches if you mod them to stay in.

I only have one, from Snap-on and I just assumed they all had some way to keep themselves in the wrench. FWIW the Snap-on has a twist cap that locks it in.

snap-on ratchet wrench socket adapter.jpg

EDIT: Actually I looked them up and Snap-on markets these as 'ratcheting wrench adaptors', not 'square drive socket caps', so that's why they fit better.

It's a Dayton that I mounted on a HF mobile base. Unfortunately the price has gone way up & Zoro 30% days are long gone. Was $225 at the time & I got it for $158.

Woah looks like it's gone up even more since the last time I checked & no more free shipping, current price is $373 + $50 freight surcharge. When I got it shipping was free even though it came freight. Dayton 1UH15

Before I got that stand I mounted it on a cheap HF universal stand just so I could use it right away.

Yup no problemo. When I was searching to buy a real arbor press stand, the Dayton from Zoro was the cheapest I found followed by the Palmgren. Those were the ones I was looking to buy. Well Grizzly was the cheapest but had already been discontinued. Looks like the Palmgren is now cheaper than the Dayton. They look pretty much identical besides the color of paint.

So $323 on Amazon & $341 from Zoro for the Palmgren. But Zoro has been sending me 20% coupons still & it doesn't look like the Palmgren is on the exclusion list. So if you can get a 20% coupon to apply that would bring it down to $273.

Says drop ship but it does say free shipping. I've purchased items from Zoro that were drop shipped by the manufacturer & was still able to apply a coupon.

As ZRX61 answered - C.K.

Although originally German, they are I believe a British company now. They supply a lot of British hardware shops.

Unlike some of these distributers though, they seem to take the trouble to have some decent tools made for them, generally in Germany, though there are some cheaper offerings from Taiwan too.

I believe their “Classic” screwdrivers are made by Heyco, and yes, in my experience too, they are very good quality. Most of my nut runners are C.K. My absolute favourites, bar none.

Below are the contents of my “road box” (well, as it was a year or so back). A right mix of makes but all tried and tested. C.K. drivers top left!
