They look a lot like my Snap On regular Wobble extensions rather than the Wobble Plus version. The Wobble Plus have a short section behind the wobble that locks it straight.

Thanks! I was hoping they would just be wobbles. I’m thinking maybe the location of the ball detents on certain brands allow for a tighter fit that feels like it’s in a fixed position.

Finally upgraded the non-oiled hose reel this morning to a 3/8x100’ setup, next to the oiled 1/2x50’ reel.

Also had my compressor auto drain finally show up so I got that going. (don’t mind the mess on the floor, it has since been cleaned up!) when I have a bit more time I’m going to attach a barb fitting and hose to the 90 to route the water out the garage door.

I find my wobble plus extensions feel the same way sometimes, but they are very easily dislodged from that position.

I needed a jack, haven't gotten areound to fixing the old h-w. something that would work on a honda accord and a chevy 3/4 ton pickup. made a trip to HF yesterday.

I purchased Daytona #64786 hd steel jack, 4 ton neon green. i bought one (orange) for my BIL as a gift and he loves it, uses it frequently. he has had it a year or two.

of course i knew to look for coupons, currently coupon # 49174049 is good til 7-31-22 and gets you $40 off this jack in any color (i think). normal price 239, i got it 199 + tax with the above code.

Wasn’t particularly looking for this 3/8” ratchet but for $80 off FB marketplace I will absolutely find a use for it!

I’ve got that in power blue. I love it. Haven’t used it much but I know it will be handy when I run into something in a tight spot. Everyone at work laughed at me for buying it until they asked to borrow it for something lol.

I didn't want to cross post, so my new tool arrivals are over in the Epsteins day 2022 thread, but I thought the box might be interesting and not just for the amazing art work.

Noy really sure that this is the right place either, but while I think it's fairly common knowledge that Craftsman tools are made in China, I didn't know that they were SK.

Koken Koken 4711X Free Turn Cross Wrench
Koken 4300PMZ.65-21 Z-EAL 21mm Lug Nut Socket
Anex 6102-T Slim Offset Screwdrivers

Really wish Amazon Japan has the Z-EAL series free turn cross wrench but for the (hopefully) limited use it will get I'm fine with the non Z-EAL. Plus the price on Amazon Japan was half of Palmac or Koken USA.

The Koken combo is in my truck as part of the emergency kit. Far better lug nut wrench solution than the awful stock one.

That looks great. I’m having trouble finding them in stock. Where did you get them?
Home Depot, ordered online and had it shipped with other stuff I had free shipping on. I think maybe you can ship to store without shipping charges.

I don't have a photo, but it works really well with a T-handle bit holder, probably better than the straight screwdriver type.

Williams metric 7 piece stubby combination wrench set

Williams SAE 8 piece stubby ratcheting combination wrench set

The tray that comes with the ratcheting stubby wrenches is really horrible, so they are now in an Ernst wrench organizer. Ernst makes great wrench holders. Very happy with it.

20 posts later and NO reply. Really? I am extremely interested in SK making Robo-Grip pliers for Craftsman in CHINA. Never had any idea that SK had any operation or entity in China. Anybody have any more information?

@Indexmill , All that I know on the subject is what was printed on the box, but I had a feeling people here on GJ would be interested. Maybe this needs to be posted somewhere else, or a new thread, thoughts?

Another Amazon Japan order. I didn't really need anything, but the price on the Z-series sockets was too good to pass up. Then, of course, I had to pick up a few more things to make shipping worthwhile. Full order is:
  • Nepros 1/4 sliding T-handle and 150mm extension
  • Koken 23mm 1/2 socket (I actually do need this)
  • Koken Z-series 1/4 semi-deeps and 50mm extension
  • Tusonda chain, soft jaw, and end cutting pliers

Those chain link pliers are awesome. They also work great for the E clip on stihl chainsaw sprockets.

Wasn't the big news in 2021 that a Chinese (Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial) entity bought SK? So not only do they have an operation there, they have headquarters there essentially.

After seeing them here, I also found them at Home Depot. A 4-pack, shipped free to home, for <$8, tax included. Free ship to home for that item alone. I think that HD policy applies to any tool.

USAG 181 piece maintenance kit with travel case....the hammer is mounted to the inside lid and the weight of the hammer during transport caused the cardboard and vinyl attachment to fail on the interior of the lid of the case.....I already sent a warranty claim in. We will see what happens.

New to me, circa mid-2000s Beta Italy 3 drawer box. My Italian friend bought it in Italy and sold it to me for all of $50 USD. Complete with keys.

Edit: This box is very stout. The design of the frame really provides a lot of support and it doesn’t feel like a typical 3 drawer tool box. Very robust. I wanted to have a signature tool storage product from all of the major brands. I have a Facom trolley/servant, a Hazet trolley, a USAG wall board, and now this, in classic Beta orange.

Milwaukee M12 Spotlight. Got it at the local bargain home goods outlet for $26 with tax. Brand new.

Thought about selling it....until I used it. This light is AWESOME! Definitely a keeper.

For $26 I'd buy it as a second one. I've gotten a LOT of use of of that light. My old ask is for a bit-stronger magnet. Awesome buy!

Yeah well I bought a high end AGM with reserve Ah and whatever gremlin killed that battery in less than two weeks.

The previous owner of the truck before me owned it for two months and acted like an idiot broheim.

1. Viper alarm system with remote start. Installed by Best Buy.

2. HID headlights. Installed by Jiffy Lube. Yes, you read that right. Also never upgraded the projectors/housings so the light was scattering and blinding ever oncoming vehicle.

3. Double DIN head unit installed by "Jazz Up My Ride."

4. Raptor Lights in the grill, installed by "Jazz Up My Ride."

I suspect the significant parasitic draw is from #1. With a decent contribution to #3.

I've since deleted #2 and #4.
Chasing parasitic draws is a case where you really need some probes with clamps so you can sneak the battery terminal off hopefully without power cycling everything, wait until the reading settles and then start disconnecting stuff to see what changes the reading.
A great kit for the job is the fluke TLK225. It does cost more than most meters though, but it is absolutely worth it to me.

Just dragged this heavy thing out of the Suburban. Big upgrade for me. Been using that lightweight wobbly increasingly broken down Craftsman consumer grade table saw for the last 11yrs. Fence got damaged in our move ~2yrs ago and on the cusp of making a lot of furniture and decided I was done fighting it / had a good excuse for an upgrade.

eta took a long time to assemble. Despite lots of paperwork. Parts not labeled, screws bagged, but multiple types in the same bags, and the wing supports' bolt holes were not mirrored, so had to undo re-do a few things. I don't usually have this sort of trouble, I'm a reasonably handy dude.
But I got it put together and it is magnificent. Thing's a monster. anim_beer.gif I'm not sure it will even fit / park where I kept the old one.
Big, heavy, solid, but rolls easily. Massive beautiful rip fence, with a flip down fence-in-a-fence for ripping flat goods. True blev.
Can't wait to use it to dice up some ridiculously overpriced oak-veneer plywood for some cabinetry and bookcases.
But first I have to shim up the deck on my big rolling work table to match the height of the new saw. It's about 1" taller than the old one.

eta shimming done. By monday I should be dicing veneer plywood

Got mine when it was clearanced out for $339 right before Christmas, it's been great for me so far. Get a mdf or melamine zero clearance insert off of Etsy (or you can make your own) , it keeps the big chips and splinters from going down in there. A better blade was a big help though and much quieter, got a Diablo combo one from HD.
